Also changed the boot animation, I couldn't stand that Verizon one.
Its rooted and has busybox installed.
It should be noted, that these do not flash a kernel. When we get access to our boot partition, you'll need to flash a stock boot.img if you came from an AOSP-based rom. (Stock boot.img flashable via odin here (flash in PDA slot): http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/stock.kernel.tar )
CWM: zip
ODIN (unzip this first, flash in PDA slot): tar.md5.zip
Zip of the removed APK's (not flashable, you'll have to manually push these): zip
^^ make sure when adding these if they have an associated odex file that you add that too
EXTRA CREDIT:
flashable stock android apps (from cm9) (will remove their touchwiz counterpart): http://goo.im/devs/invisiblek/i535/stock.android.apps/

Really???
I mean, I can understand if a thread is 600 pages long, you aren't going to read them all. But really? Look, 48 pixels above your post.

Thanks for this. Plan on flashing this shortly after I get my phone this week.

Excellent work!
The only question I have and didn't see in the OP was this:
According to Chainfire, there is a process that Samsung silently uses to check for root. This process is called com.sec.android.app.sysscope
http://www.chainfire.eu/articles/118/Triangle_Away_vs_Samsung/
Has it been disabled in this ROM?

clearly....... this rom is rooted..........

Does this have the notification area toggles removed? I'd much rather use a third-party app for that...

There are a few things on the list of apk's that I'd want to keep. Would it be safe for me to delete the ones on your list in Root Explorer though?
Also I swapped out the messaging app to CM9 version and email app to stock ICS already. Hated the Touchwiz versions.

You misunderstand...
This process does not PREVENT root, it silently checks in the background to see IF the user is rooted. If so, the process supposedly phones this data to Samsung's servers so that they know who is rooted or not.
I'm asking to see if this process has been disabled or not since it can still exist on a rooter ROM.

My bad man...I refreshed the page right before I posted, so it must have showed up while I was typing mine.
Anyway - thanks for updating the op.

Is this as simple as swapping out apks? What CM9 messaging apk did you use? Did you have to mess with APNs at all?
Sorry for all the questions but I hate the stock messaging app. I've already deleted the email app and use Enhanced Email.
Thanks!

Yeah it was simple. Got the apk here. In Root Explorer, I just renamed the secmessaging.apk to secmessaging.apk.bak and then copied/pasted the Mms.apk into system/apps then changed the permissions, rebooted, done. It kept the current texts too and I tested sending/receiving sms & mms already.

This is great progress now all we need is the original wifi toggle back and Verizons stupid one gone

flashable zips are at the bottom of the op to accomplish these tasks

So, my understanding is...
1. I need to root and install CWM recovery first.
2. The CWM version and the ODIN version are the same thing, just one is designed for flashing with CWM and the other is for flashing through ODIN? So you pick one or the other? Is flashing through CWM the same process as on other phones? Put on SD card, select the CWM file, and flash it?
3. The zip of removed APK's is just in case we want them back? Otherwise, you don't have to download/install them?
4. After flashing CWM version, I can just flash the gapps and I'll be good to go?

1. yes, but you can use the odin image to accomplish this. it will flash this rom and root you all in one step
2. yes, yes, yes, yes
3. correct
4. don't need to manually install gapps, they are included since they were in the stock rom

Touchwhiz music.zip also adds myfiles, I didnt know if it was a dependency or not. Plus I, and other probably need to use it for USB-OTG cables.

[EB13/EC05][Stock][Configurable Zip] System Apps Remove N Restore

:[Disclaimer]:
As always, performing a "nandroid backup" from Clockwork Mod is recommended as a precaution.
Use this at your own risk!
:[Requirements]:
An Epic 4G with Clockwork Mod recovery installed (preferably 3.0.0.6).
A text editor to edit the config file.
Note:: The EB13 files are from deodexed EB13, and are intended to be used on an EB13 based Rom.
Note:: The EC05 files are from deodexed EC05, and are intended to be used on an EC05 based Rom.
:[Description]:
This is a configurable zip that has the ability to selectively remove and restore system apps.
This is a follow up to this proof of concept.
:[Features]:
Selectively remove and / or restore any of the 66 system apps listed below.
User configurable by editing a config file that is placed onto the SD card.
[Download EB13 zip package here.]
[Download EC05 zip package here.]
:[Usage]:
This download files are not flash-able zips! (The flash-able zip is inside the downloads)
#1:: Extract the 2 files that are in the zip package onto your computer.
#2:: Copy the "system_apps.zip" onto your SD card.
#3:: Make the desired changes to the "system_apps.cfg" file, changing "no" to "yes" as desired.
For example, to remove qik, change
remove.system.qik=noto
remove.system.qik=yesNote:: If you don't make any changes to the "system_apps.cfg" file, the zip will not do anything other than output text!
Note:: Make sure your file is saved with unix line endings (Windows users do not create any new lines and you should be OK).
#4:: Copy the "system_apps.cfg" onto the root of your SD card ("/sdcard/system_apps.cfg").
#5:: Use Clockwork Mod recovery to install the "system_apps.zip".
:[Included apps]:
AppWidgetPicker was taken from Bonsai 3.0.1, but originated here.
LbsTestMode was taken from here, credit goes to BThomas22x it seems.
The rest of the EB13 files came from Dameon87's Stock Deodexed EB13 Rom.
The rest of the EC05 files came from Bonsai4All_EC05_UnTouched.
I have confirmed with k0nane that none of these files should effect the CIQ removal.
(With the possible exception of EC05's SprintID "W_Installer.apk" file, but who in their right mind is going to install that?)

What happens when the system_apps.cfg file is missing or in the wrong location?
Click to collapse
Clockwork Mod recovery will give a status 7 error.
What happens if I change "no" to something besides "yes or "no" in the config file?
Click to collapse
The script checks for "yes", so if the value is anything else, the item will be skipped (just stick with "yes" and "no").
What happens if I did not use unix line endings?
Click to collapse
Clockwork Mod recovery will give an error. Probably status 7, but possibly status 6.
Why does it take so long to boot after running this?
Click to collapse
Because it clears out the cache and dalvik-cache, causing it to be rebuilt.
:[Testing]:
This has been tested and confirmed working on an Epic 4G running Bonsai 4.0.0.

neat! thanks
also what i do is use sdx stock app removal. when there is actually a stock app that i like i backup that app. then when i flash new roms with all bloat removed i can restore the stock apps of my choosing. the biggest one i do this with is the terrible bubble mms app and put back the eclair mms.
Updated for EC05, check OP.

Awesome bro Thank you
will it matter to flash the whole file as it is..without checking for any existing apks?? ie if i already have qik foreg.. and i dont change that to no... should it be still ok?
I want to try this, was just going to wait for the next SFR version so I can do it all at one time during my 'scheduled maintenance window'. (Reading that makes me feel that I've spent too many years in IT.) Just 2 questions:
1. There are a bunch of apps that I have removed before, like mms.apk/browser.apk, using sdx stock app removal tool and it causes FCs. Is this different if removed from CWM? If so, do we know which of these sys apps are required?
2. If I am not installing particular .apks, can they be removed from the zip to make it smaller?
App .apk brief description
To the OP,
Can you put a brief description on what each .apk is for the ones that are not known by reading them? For example, I have no idea if I still need to install FactoryTest.apk, cm-android.apk, HiddenMenu.apk, SN28-1100-sprint-signed.apk...? For some, I have no idea what it is and it would help if you can put a brief description on what the apk is?
There is a brief description of all sys apps in a thread called all app safe to remove. Search for it or page back to it in the dev section.

As the OP states, all values are defaulted to no, so flashing as is will only print text to the screen and waste your time.

#1 - I did my best to only include things that could be safely removed, but YMMV.
There's a link below to a thread of apps and what they do, if they've been removed safely, etc...
#2 - Yes, removing the apks from the zip is fine if you are only doing removals.

Does the config file have an extension, like "config.txt" - if so, then you can use root explorer on your phone and rename the file without the extenstion or the appropriate extension - you can't change the file extension to none on the PC because the PC needs the extension.
I am not stating this because I have the same problem as you, but I had another instance that was simuliar needing a certain file structure, so this is what worked for me - and maybe work for you.
Good Luck - hope this helps!

Please help me getting the missing system apk!!

Hi,
when I first received my tf300, I rooted it and installed titanium backup, and I used the titanium backup to remove some of the system apk, as I thought I no longer needed them. (I used to do this w/my samsung galaxy s)
However this action completely screwed up the firmware, I am still using .17 (ww) and couldn't upgrade the firmware to the latest version .30!
after some help:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1697283
I figured that I need to push the missing apk back to the system folder in order to upgrade my firmware.
So, if you have (ww) can you please get me the following apks from /system/app folder:
GenieWidget.apk
Kindle-OEM.apk
MyCloud.apk
PRAndroid.apk
PlusOne.apk
ZinioReader.apk
any help is appreciated! :victory::victory:
anyone?
hope this helps, i've had frustrating moments with android too!
thanks malamalaful, still looking for the rest of the apks:

[GUIDE] How to make your own custom ROM for the GS II Plus

GALAXY S II PLUS ROM COOKING

This tutorial should allow you to attain a base ROM so you can work on making a custom ROM for the our device.
PREREQUISITES:
- An I9105/P
- A brain

GUIDE:
A) Getting yourself ready
There are two ways you can set up your working environment. If you use Windows, you must first install Cygwin, if you use Linux then you can use kitchen directly without cygwin. You can also install linux alongside Windows using this guide.
The windows way
Download Cygwin set up from here.
Download Cygwin packages from here.
Start Cygwin set up, press "Next" then choose "Install from Local Directory"
Next you will be asked where you want to install cygwin, I prefer to install it in the root of my drive, in a directory C:\Cygwin
Next, minimize the Cygwin installation and extract the Cygwin packages you downloaded in step 2 in a suitable folder.
Go back to the Cygwin installation and choose the directory which you extracted the Cygwin packages in step 5, so the blank will contain something like "C:\Users\Laptop\Desktop\cygwin_packages\http%3a%2f%2fmirror.its.uidaho.edu%2fpub%2fcygwin%2f".
Proceed with the installation, when you see a list that says select packages... Click on the circle arrows beside "All", you should then see all the elements of the list have "Install" written aside of them.
Press next and next until the installation starts.
When the installation finishes, close the installation window and go to the Cygwin directory you chose in step 4.
Open up Cygwin to allow it to set up the categories.
Download kitchen from here.
Extract it to /cygwin/home/user
"user" here can be anything according to your PC/Laptop username.
Rename the folder "Android-kitchen..." to "kitchen".
The linux way
Download kitchen from here.
Extract it to any directory.
Open up Linux Terminal and navigate to the directory in which you extracted kitchen using cd directory command.
Continue with the tutorial in section B.
B) Extracting a base ROM to work on
Now, I am going to assume you set up cygwin and kitchen successfully... Now you need to add device compatibility..
Download this file(for I9105P) or this file(I9105 - Thanks yashuperia for testing it) credits to k2wl for the compatibility file. Copy this file to this directory ( .\home\user\kitchen\tools\edify_defs ) in the cygwin folder. Now I9105/P is officially compatible with kitchen... woohoo :victory:.
Now take your device, boot to CWM (I suppose you know how ) and make a backup.
Reboot your device.
Now plugin your device to your computer and open Clockworkmod folder in external sd card. You will find a system.ext4.tar.a folder of size about 700mb ( I think... anyway it's a big file ). Take that file and place it in your desktop or wherever you want.
Rename it to system.ext4.tar (remove .a)
Move it to the this directory ( .\home\user\kitchen\original_update ) in the cygwin folder. Then go to cygwin and enter kitchen mode from cygwin using the following.
cd kitchen [ PRESS ENTER ]
./menu [ YES WITH THE DOT, PRESS ENTER ]
Click to collapse
Kitchen will load up. When it's fully loaded up, press 1 and choose system.ext4.tar option...
Congratulations you have a base ROM.
C) Work on the ROM
It is not possible for me to show you every possible mod and change you can do to a ROM, but here are a few things:
DEODEX
Deodexing is important in ROM cooking before you can modify any APK, you can find the deodexing option in the Advanced Options of kitchen. You need to choose to deodex both folders and make sure the API is set to 16.
BOOTANIMATIONS
You can enable custom bootanimation support using this (credits to smokin1337). Place it in the working folder of your ROM and then add a bootanimation.zip file to your /system/media directory in your working folder. Here are some bootanimations compatible with our device.
APK MODIFICATIONS
I have made a separate thread for some APK modifications you can make to add some functionality that the device natively has disabled. Check out the modding tutorials here. You can test separate APK files you have modded using the Generic flashable zip available in the resources section below
DEBLOAT
Debloating can increase the level of performance of a device by a considerable amount. Here are some applications that you can remove from the /system/app folder of your ROM: (credits to k2wl for the list)

You can also replace the stock launcher with any launcher you like. Sec2Launcher.apk is the stock launcher, you simply need to delete it and replace it with any other, I've made a small list of my favorite launchers:
Touchwiz 5 - Thread - APK (S4 Launcher)
Apex Launcher - Thread - APK (AOSP style launcher)
Xperia Z Launcher - Thread - APK (zip) (Xperia Z Launcher)
- Copy whole system folder - NOT META-INF - from the zip to the working folder
Espier launcher - APK (iPhone-like Launcher)

RESOURCES:
How to decompile and recompile an APK
To do any modding to stock Samsung based ROM, you would first need to decompile the relevant APK and edit the relevant files, there are many guides all over XDA for XML and SMALI editing
A tool for decompiling .jar files
Unfortunately, decompiling .jar files to edit its SMALI codes is a bit more complicated, and apktool does not support it by default, so you need to get this tool, and extract classes.dex from the .jar file and decompile it using the tool, then recompile it and replace the classes.dex in the original file with the modded one.
Generic flashable zip
Use this to test individual APK files after you mod them, quite a convenient way to test a modded APK, just make sure you have a backup
IMPORTANT NOTES:
Always have a stock firmware flashable with Odin ready, or a backup ready, because sometimes, you might get bootloops.
This will not make you a developer, at all.
I am not responsible if your device explodes, bursts into flames, corrodes or worse, becomes a Galaxy Pocket.
Updated the guide, it now covers much more than just getting a base zip

Yes, you must. But it's necessary to deodex to do any modding

Ok I read quite some guides about making a custom ROM on other sections and got quite confused.
My main purpose is to customise UIs, remove bloatwares, clear up+replace unnecessary default data (default notification sounds).

1) So must I deodex my stock ROM and obtain the deodexed stock ROM to make any tweak / mod on it?
-Following [GUIDE] [I9105/P] How to deodex your system without using adb shell or [I9105P] Deodexed Flashable Zips?
-Will deodexing wipe my system?
2) I have seen people talking about getting a base ROM and a CM10 ROM, which they move the CM10 feature into base ROM to edit. That one is strictly for ROM porting, right?
-Does ROM porting means making a 'non-device A' ROM to become 'device A' ROM?
3) Will you recommend me to customise your Pandamonium ROM with tweaks according to my need as a fresh start for newbie?
-Simply edit the files in the zip and then recompile back into a new zip, right?
-I realise that your ROM is based on Romania (Orange). How will the carrier affect the device in other region?
Hi there peeps, everytime i download a deodexed+rooted fw i am able to flash it, but when i make changes to it, recompile and such and try to install, it gives the installation aborted error 0 (before even installing). Do i need to change the fw im on? Currently im on
Xamb3 stock+ root with cmw touch.
Thnx in advance!
P.s. good reading is half the work... the other guide i used didn't mention the support file for sgs2+
So i will try that first and probably will be able to delete this post.
Sorry for being retard. Will post result asap

indeed i was a retard! the support file did the trick now i can start on my own rom

I used this method with the newly flashed Android 4.2.2 ROM. Everything worked until I tested it, it got stuck at the boot logo. I looked all over XDA and Google for solutions, and I built the ROM 4 times, and it still doesn't work. Logcat doesn't work (it hasn't made any logs after I've flashed the new ROM) and the recovery log doesn't show any errors. Can anyone help me?

Well, I am confused because I am not sure what the kernel is, is it just in a folder in /system?
As starting ROM, I tried panda00's way (system.ext4.tar + boot.img), and I tried system.img + boot.img + cache.img. I tried using the CWM backup and I tried using the official Android 4.2.2 ROM posted here on XDA. I tried flashing while a newly Odin-flashed ROM was on my phone and I tried flashing after a full-wipe. None of the methods worked. I looked all over the web today for solutions :|

List of system apps safe to delete - bloatware!

Since there is no HTC One SV list of apps safe to delete, I decided to reserch my self and make list for One SV. In general I used as guide line HTC One series...HTC stuff should be more or less all the same, and can be applyed on more phones...also, if it can be freezed without root, should be also safe to remove with root. I cut/paste apps and odex files from /system to /microsd for backup (with es file explorer). Dont like scripts and deleting forever. Posts and threads I used as refference guide are on the bottom! Thx
Im not programer, so this is my small contribution as satisfied OneSV and XDA user!
This is /system/app folder from my phone (HTC One SV - K2_UL), Croatia T-mobile
My phone is htcdev bootloader unlocked, twrp, rumrunner s-off, rooted. Stock OTA 4.2.2
I will write if I know what is app for, and if it is safe to delete. Bold apps I removed and phone is ok (up and running). If something is needed again, I can cut/paste back to /system/app and restart phone.
This post is work in progres, so help is most welcome! I have 3 goals:
1. Pinpoint and delete battery drain apps
2. Determin for every app if it is a) safe, b) maybe or c) DO-NOT-REMOVE
3. Gain space by removing unused, unwanted apps
For now I did Bold apks I removed. Later I will write app description...
For those who dont know, why I deleted apps if I could freeze:
I deleted Gmail app on system because I updated Gmail app (so I have newer version on /data also). When removed from /system/app I cut paste version from /data/app to /system/app. Same for PlayStore, Google TTS, GMS, etc.
SuperSu i updated through TWRP option! Works ok.
Also, some apps cant be freezed, and sucks on battery. I dont like that if I dont use them!
Gain in space is cca 500MB cca 160 apps

Job is not done yet. Theres more apps I think can be deleted but not sure. I deleted those I not use and I am sure are safe to delete...Now coms the hard part - to dare delete questionable apps...! Thats why I need help - if someone know that some apps are NO GO, that I dont mess up my phone...Or if some of not bolded are sure to delete... There are some I didnt delete and are safe to delete but I use them...
In next days I will for sure delete some more - lockscreen themes etc. HTC stuff is most questionable - dont know what did they connect them with...
But if I mess up - i think twrp have file manager, so I can get critical apps back!? Is that correct?

I have twrp backup. But dont want to go through restore alredy...
About romcleaner 6.0 - i go through that also, must look for those apps i am unsure, but it is for sense 4 not 5...there are some differences, some app dont extist any more, new are present etc. So rom cleaner for HTC One is closes call i think.
Dont like that grouping of apps - alphabetical order is better. I go from top to botom and delete. With rom cleaner lists is torture...but, im getting there!
If I need RUU, then I would need to downgrade to ICS, downgrade hboot or something like thet? Because there is no 4.2.2 RUU, just OTA?

you could just move the apps from /system/apps to somewhere like /sdcard/ext_sd/questionable_apps_to_delete
then if anything "Bugs out" on you just place them back to /system/apps and set permissions to rw-r--r abd reboot to fix.
Sent from my C525c using Tapatalk
I did just that, deleted few apps more and phone wont start now. Stays htc One beats audio white screen...I moved back apps to system app and changed chmod to 644 but it still wont to start. What did I wrong? I used twrp file manager to get apps and odex files back.
1. Mount System
2. copy paste apps back to system app
3. change chmod to 644 each app and odex i moved back
4. clear dalvik and cashe
5. dont want to boot
--> update, it is ok now. It was IdleScreen_ files.
I didnt get them back, just 6 of others. And those 5 i disregarded...It seems they are important.
About twrp and getting files back:
1. mount system
2. File manager copy paste apps from sd card to system/app one by one (apk and odex)
3. Change permisions apks and odexes one by one to chmod 755 (big button in twrp)
4. Click big button Fix permission - just in case...
5. Reboot
There is no fear, twrp is powerful!
More apps safe to delete:
MyGoogleTaskPlugin.apk
MyTask.apk
MyTaskWidget.apk
HtcNotes.apk
HtcNotesProvider.apk
HtcNotesPainterView
/system/lib/libnotes_jni.so
/system/lib/libnotesprovider_jni.so

OneTimeInitializer.apk
SocialManager
VpnDialogs.apk
HTCShoeboxEngine.apk
ZeroEditing.apk
SenseTV_Home.apk
DO NOT DELETE:
IdleScreen_Widget; .._shortcut; .._productivity; _photo; _Music_WVGA;
there is also basic and without lockscreen i think...
Phone wont boot if you delete those (even if you dont use them).
Didnt, check with and without each and everyone - but when removed those 5 phone stuck at htc white screen!
it's safe to delete all of the lock screen, face lock, and idle_screen apks.
I never tried just deleting one or two, so I've always delete all of them.
thanks for the heads up.

When I get them back, phone turned on! I also was thinking they are unimportant...so was thinking vpndialog is fault or fdhttp...so i put them back and stil nothing.. until idle screens i returned..
Maybe it didnt turn on because I selected without lockscreen one idllescreen..and you basic? What are your settings and are deleted now your idlescreens?
UPDATE 14.3.2014 - I notice that in stock sms app I cant add photo from gallery, just take new photo. Maybe because I deleted galery and quickpic isnt listed there...also in quickpic when option share selected, there is no sms app to select. But thats not important since MMS isnt used much. Handcent solves that problems. I prefer handcent because it is more confugurable - notifications etc....
I don't use any of the idle screens so I delete them all.
plus the HTC lock screen
plus the face lock....
everything is fine when I do this, nothing hangs phone still boots like normal......

you can safely remove GoogleContactsSyncAdapter and GoogleCalendarSyncAdapter if you don’t wish to sync your contacts and calendar to google. also GoogleBackupTransport if you don't wish to backup your data to google.
I know. There is more safe to delete apps. Must write it down. But thats not big crapware...most people use it..
How can i get default gallery apk?
I use JBStocklight by Matlevo12 ROM (JB 4.1.2). When i extraclean the ROM, i delete by mistake default gallery apk from system/app . How can i extract that default gallery apk from rom image? (i don't know the exact name).
I still can view photos with QuickPic or File Manager, but i can't add photo to any contact, because the phone.apk use default gallery ( i supose). That's the reason because i what back that standard gallery viewer. (when i try it to add/change contact photo, i get the error "No pictures are available on your phone.")
Thanks.

I think, what you are searching is HTCAlbum.apk.
Extract it from the zip (system/app/) and copy it in the same place on your phone (using a root explorer).
Set permission to rw- r-- r-- (like the other apks) and reboot.
Try to setup contact photo from web - on gmail and then sync.
Also maybe you can setup photo from quickpic - set photo as contact...
I deleted the android system webview folder. Email folder and exchange services folder on system/app. Will bringing them back solves whitescreens and force stops in my phone when it wants to go to web?

[Q]Google Play No Connection On China MTK Phone

Hey, guys. I am not native English speaker, sorry for my English.
I bought a China Smartphone Haier HT-I860, technical details are here:
CPU: MediaTek MT6589
RAM: 1GB
ROM(eMMC): 4GB
Screen: 5 inch qHD(960x540) TFT screen
Cell network: TD-SCDMA / GSM and dual SIM card
Android version: 4.2.1
Kernel version: 3.4.5
I made a CWM recovery for this phone and flash Gapps (20130812 version from goo.im) into it. Everything works fine except Google Play. Everytime I click Google Play, it shows that "No connection, Retry". I am sure that my Wi-Fi network is OK. Other Google APP like Google Plus, Gmail, Google Voice Search works fine.
I have tried many method to solve this problem, like wipe /data and /cache, wipe dalvik cache, edit /etc/hosts, flash other version Gapps. All of these are *useless*. I think there are something wrong with this android build or library.
I have contact Haier customer service, they only send me a old version ROM. I tried and still have this problem.
I updated this ROM into Baidu.com. You can download it from http://pan.baidu.com/s/1dD3kWyH
If you want log or any other thing, please reply this post and tell me how to get it. I don't know how to get log or more.
Thanks

I set timezone to UTC+8(Beijing), and automatic sync time online. It seems not time problem.

So, buddy all u need to do is remove ur google's pre installed apps,
then flash latest gapps.zip via CWM.
Get Gapps.zip from Goo.im

I have ran logcat on my phone, and got too many logs(about 10000 lines) to read. Here are logs:
But I found something interesting in logs:
Code:
E/DfeApi ( 1980): [1] DfeRequest.deliverResponse: Null wrapper parsed for request=[[ ] https://android.clients.google.com/fdfe/toc?shh=zen2II1nK1Sx2swLcCn16w 0xe8d195d1 NORMAL 12]
I search it on Google, find same problem like me:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2131790&page=131
http://forum.tegraowners.com/viewtopic.php?p=42588
Perhaps these problems are not solved.
4781 2688834
Still unsolved. Does any one have good idea?
I had similar problem with Coolpad phone. Here's what I did:
Edit build.prop file chaning language and location to en and US
Remove the existing vending.apk and what appeared to be google apks
Follow instructions in this link http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1874285
I'm not sure if the files provided in that link were the ones that worked for me or not, I found similar instructions across the net and downloaded a few different versions of google play, framework and login apks. I tried a few different files until one worked.
Don;t load the apps, save them in the system/app directory.
As outlined in one of the replies in the link above, edit the permissions for each of the files you copied and then reboot.
When I first did this, I kept getting various google... stopped working messages. I then went into app manager and reset the apps. This loaded some bloatware I deleted but after a reboot it worked fine. Now I'm freezing a few bloatware apps at a time to see what I can get rid of without impacting this.
One last thing I noticed was that sometimes when you load or unload apps, you need to give the phone a minute to configure itself. Don;t jump right into the app and get upset if its not working right.
