What ROM are you using is it a sprint ROM?
From what I've read anycut only enables creating shortcuts and wouldn't have anything to do with the optimizer/

Post 1 of 10, we could be new comers and very experienced in devel ????

Did you root via root66/odin? I know the first version of that files was based on sprints source.

Sprint LTE

I have a new N5 and its unlocked and rooted. I get LTE just fine on the stock rom but when I flash any custom roms, LTE doesn't work. Even when I restore my backed up EFS on the custom rom, LTE still doesn't work. Anytime I nandroid back to my stock rom, LTE works fine. Any ideas or help will be appreciated.

Did you flash Sprint software? It could be the APN.
What sprint software? forgive me im new to this. I did make a backup of my apn of my stock rom and restored it when i flashed a custom rom, but it didn't make a difference.

I think there's some extra APKs you need to add to custom ROMs.
I fixed the issue. I unrooted and returned my phone back to stock. Then I found a sprint. Zip that you flash with custom roms and that worked.

I'm on Sprint and I've flashed most of the custom roms for N5 with zero LTE issues. Which rom did you flash?
There is no custom sprint software this is a Google phone.

Check the APN settings. On AT&T I have to tweak my settings to get LTE instead of H+.

Its a zip to flash after roms that sets the correct APN settings for sprint. I can't remember the thread I found it in though. But it was for the same issue I was having with my LTE/3g switching.

The reason I am searching through posts is this: my 3G works fine. But when it kicks over to LTE... Nothing happens... In a minute or two I may get 4 mbs or something pretty good and then nothing again. I need it to actually work. My wife has the same issue on her S4 and she is stock. It switches over to LTE.... Nothing. I have LTE off mostly. Steady slow 3g is better than no progress on LTE.
update profile
Should provide the correct settings in the custom Roms assuming the creator added the update profile features. I know cm does

[MOD] Working Download Booster

I've worked for awhile on the DBooster to be enabled on the other variants who've disabled this feature from Samsung by the carriers.

See this thread in Sprint S5 for downloads. Be sure to follow the rules in OP.
That would require root and/or a custom recovery. Vzw and att s5 has neither.

Got stuck at Verizon screen
I tried this on stock/rooted and when I rebooted the phone it would hang on the Verizon Screen. I still got blinking LED and the Verizon Logo animation but it wouldn't go any further. To fix it I had to restore a backup. Any ideas what would cause it?

Hmm.. what version did you use and I'll see what I can do to try and fix it for you. I'm hopeful that when AT&T and Verizon get root, etc, this would boost development and help out at users.

well when I went to the thread at the beginning of this one I THOUGHT it said it worked with all variants? I may have misunderstood. I installed it fine, but as soon as I made the *.bak files and restarted it went all FUBAR.

It should work all variants, I pulled and Modded international files, so it works via all S5. If on odex rom, just make services.odex to services.odex.bak, don't do jar file. If you can, send me your Verizon SecSettings.apk so I can make special version in case. Try v1 and v2, see if same result.

Alrighty. I finally had time to try that. I changed services. Odex to .bak and I got a button in my settings window, but no tile. But it seems to let me activate it. I'll need to set up a test file to see if it works. I don't think speed test will work well in testing it.

Just refer to my Quick tile activate thread in Sprint S5 general thread, easy walk through for quick tile
This is easily done by using an app like App Cut to create a desktop shortcut to the Download Boost activity which already exists on the Verizon variant.

Is there a way to switch to LTE/CDMA to CDMA only without rebooting?

I remember on the S4 for a very brief stint with an AOSP ROM you could switch without having to reboot.... In fact, there was actually a quick setting toggle for it lol. Anyway to do this on a TouchWiz ROM? Thanks in advance!
Sent from a Galaxy 5 light years away
I thought that was based on the kernel and how the ROM interfaces with it. It shouldnt benecessary to reboot, but if the ROMs infrastructure makes it think that its necessary, then it will. Some tweaking of a TW ROM should make it possible, however the RODT ROM im currently running is asking to reboot also

The method is the EXACT same as it was on KitKat for both Sprint AND T-Mobile (as well as the Verizon Dev Edition). About a million guides were posted before. A quick search will bring them up.

is there anyway to root a sprint note 4 edge 5.1.1? ive tried a couple ways and they all boot looped. please help

Looks like T-Mo variant is close to getting root_ can Sprint be far behind?

I know word on the street is that devs are going to avoid the Note 5 like the plague, but according to THIS thread, the T-Mobile variant has working TWRP and may be close to root:

Does this bode well for Sprint development as well? Let's hope.
