Bluetooth Keyboard for Optimus 3D p920 - LG Optimus 3D

I'm sort of surprised its nowhere to be found, so I started one.
What bluetooth keyboards CAN we use on the Optimus 3D P920??
Blueinput etc dont work.. nothing. ICM7 on my p920 and you lose the 3D features just to use a HID bluetooth keyboard..
Please lets start a list of working blueooth keyboards for the p920 here...
I think the list with be beneficial to many.
Thanks

Maybe others did tried to hook up a BT keyboard but it didn't work. Might not be related to but I think that as long as eLGy won't have USB Host feature there won't be anything that could be attached to, not even BT keyboard. Honestly, if you want to use your computer or a keyboard to type in your messages you can use AirDroid - search it on Google play.
It's an app that through the same Wifi on which are connected PC and Android phone let's you administrate your phone - it does almost everything, including typing messages, only calls are a NO at this moment.
I use it. Cause anyway...to have your BT keyboard always with you I, in my humble opinion, don't find it so convenient cause I'm a fast typer with standard on screen keyboard.
From my personal experience - and this goes to USB Host feature, I saw it on tablet or anyway on devices with big batteries, something like from 2500mAh in up. I had two Archos tablets that had this feature.
Hope that helps.

Install Cyanogenmod, then your bluetooth keyboard will work. Stock ROM will never work with Bluetooth Input(keyboard etc)

App to make a diamond act as a BT keyboard?

Is there such an app or way, that will allow the Diamond or Diamond Pro to act as a bluetooth keyboard to another device, i.e. PS3, laptop? If there is, will you please let me know what it is? It could be useful for so many things.

Apple bluetooth keyboard

I can't seem to find a definite answer to this: Has anyone had an Apple bluetooth keyboard work with their g tablet? There's a laptop like case for the ipad that has a bluetooth keyboard that I would like to modify for the g tablet, but I'm not sure if the bluetooth keyboard that comes with it would work.
Thanks
I tried my friends ipad keyboard case but couldn't get it to connect to the g tab. Wish I knew how

Same here. I have an iPad (company issued) with the keyboard but I can't make it pair with the gTab. It sees the keyboard and asks for a code and I've tried 0000 and the classic 1234 and neither seems to allow a connection.
A while back when I was looking for something similar and found this.

At the time the seller claimed it would work on any bluetooth enabled device including Android devices even though he doesn't list it in his description.

I read that you can pick any code you want, then type it on the keyboard and hit "enter".

I tried that just to check but no dice. In order for me to type it on the keyboard it needs to be paired with the device. It doesn't pair so that didn't work. It was worth a shot though.
I tried using a seperate device and that didnt work either. Maybe some hack????
I tried typing on keyboard too and that didnt work... thought about it but no go.

I enter "0000" and it paired, but it shows up as paired, but not connected.
I tried..same result. Wouldn't pair
Hi all,
Sorry your having problems, what you need to do is get blueinput
its on the apps store, it works kind of.
Its been a few weeks since i set it up and used it,
From what I remember you have to install the apk into the system apk section on your tablet then just load the app and select the blueinput keyboard then it works.
it is limited and I lost connection a lot but as far as I could see it was the only way to get it to work.
Yes i used this with the mac keyboard, there is a topic on it somewhere in the g tab forums, and I believe it was a tutorial how to get it fully working.
If you guys cant find it I will do some digging or reinstall it and tell you all how to do it.
Yeah blueinput is what others are using, with that said most bluetooth things require a different program to get connected which sucks. They should have at least gotten bluetooth mouse and keyboard working in the Android OS by now...
actualy i found the post where all of the info is at.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=869747&page=4
also gunsjoe there seems to be a way to do this without blueinput.

I have not tryed prscott1's method my self but i think otheres have said it works.

[Q] bluetooth mouse and keyboard

I am interested in using the G Tablet as a thin client computing device. This would give me ultra-portability and all-day battery life. It would allow me to keep my personal life on the tablet and use remote desktop for business stuff. This way personal and business life coexists on the same device without security concerns. This isn't going to work though unless I basically make my tablet into a netbook.
I've done some research on bluetooth devices but don't have a working bluetooth mouse or keyboard yet, which is the reason for my post.
I have a Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 and so far have not been able to get it working. I tried VEGAn 5.1 and it connects but doesn't pair. I installed BlueInput for Android and couldn't get the mouse working with it either. See teksoftco.com for info on this app. It is supposed to add bluetooth HID support to Android 2.1 or newer.
I don't have a bluetooth keyboard yet - not worried about that until a mouse works.
I ordered a case with built-in USB keyboard and it is adequate. A clip blocks the mini USB port though, so I may do surgery on it to move it down a bit. The case is from witglobal.com.
Any suggestions on what ROM to work with to achieve my goal? Any other info from someone who may have this working?
I don't want to use a bluetooth device with a USB receiver - It'll just get lost or broken and be in the way. I have a dock and I think that is going to work out for my desk - just working on the mobile part.
BTW I really like the 2X Client for remote control. Only thing I am disappointed in so far is the audio doesn't seem to work.
Thanks All!
I have cyanogenmod 6.1 working with a HID mouse - no add-ons. Caveat now is getting the market working. I installed it per wiki instructions but no apps show up...off to more searching!
I use my Zpad (Malata T2) for exactly your purpose.
I guess the Zpad ROM supports this out of the box?? (I'm running the stock ROM).
My mouse is also the Microsoft 5000 Mouse (little white and black one). My keyboard is off ebay, here is the link (except I have the black one):
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/UItra-FLat-B...Peripherals&hash=item255f52af24#ht_3488wt_907
I use Xtralogic (by far the best RDP client)
At saying that it's not 100% perfect. Here is what doesn't work:
Delete Key
Ctrl C or V etc
Right Mouse Button (you can emulate by a long left press)
Mouse Wheel
Some special characters like; < > ^ ~ ` and probably others
Wifi & Bluetooth have issues working together, but 3G and Bluetooth is fine
I'd pay for a driver that fixes this if anyone knows of one.
Cheers, Mal

[Q] playstation wireless keyboard doest show up in pairing list

EDIT ** Mods please remove was being stupid. But just in case anyone else has this problem with this keyboard then your problem is that the keyboard isn't in pairing mode. Stupid sony instructions dont say you have to unpair from first device first to do that press fn+insert and keep both held down it will flash a few times quickly then turn off. turn it onn again and press fn + insert and it will flash (but this time faster) and this is pairing mode.
So I bought the playstation wireless keybaord to use with my xoom as I thought it looked nicer than others and had the advantage of a mouse (pointy stick thing)
Unfortunately my xoom doesnt see it when I try to connect. Is it common for unsupported stuff to just not show up in the list? I would have thought it would at least show up and then just fail to pair or just not know what it is.
does ics have better support for bt keyboards?
Any suggestions on what I can try to get this thing working.

BT keyboard that works.

I bought this $20 keyboard on eBay and it is working in both webOS and Android. In webOS, the bluetooth "wizard" will display a "key" and you type that "key" on the bt keyboard and press enter. In Android settings, you first type a "key" via the Android "on screen" keyboard and touch OK, and then type the same "key" on the bt keyboard and press enter.
Most bluetooth keyboards and mice are HID compliant so they will work. The Touchpad keyboard loads a generic Microsoft HID driver when I connect it to my laptop.

That's nice to know. I sure wish somebody had assured me of that when I was searching this site for what to buy. Where were you then?

I'm with you. When I tried this forum for what keyboard, I certainly didn't get that reassurance.
Bought it, works great!
I grabbed this exact keyboard to use for longer email and work messages. It paired easily and works wonderfully. My touchpad just got more useful!
I got a different one that works pretty good as well (designed for ipad though) and it only works in the CM9 ICS bricked rom that I have installed, not on webOS or CM7. Is a very nice keyboard + case just faces the same troubles most of these cases do (not latching the separating parts together when closed) but it is very good non the less.. Your post makes it sound like you got the one I linked and you didn't. Don't know why the one you did get doesn't work with CM7 or webOS, but the one I linked does. And it cost less than $20 shipped.
Yea I rephrased my statement, not the best with words sometimes. The case and keyboard I got (mainly got because it had to withstand the kids getting it) is more expensive, but instead of starting a new thread though I would share some experiences with BT keyboard (pros and cons) instead of starting another thread about the one I got.
Yes just about any blueetooth keyboard should work. I got this a couple months ago and it works great, plus has a little joystick for a mouse, which works well in CM7 but even better in ICS.
You can use a mouse on this? Does it display on screen?

In CM7 and CM9 a standard HID bluetooth mouse will work with a cursor, the scroll wheel will also work. I'm not sure if it would work in WebOS.

Yes, there's a cursor that displays on the screen in CM7 or CM9. In webos the mouse just spits out random characters when you try and use it.

i bought this mouse off amazon....it is HID and connects to ics but wen connected i see a cursor for one split second then it disappears and the mouse will not work.if i could get a link to a proper mouse that is proven that would be most helpful. also wen i had cm7 on tp the mouse would connect cursor would show and "work" but was very flighty and unmanageable. would love to find the right mouse for tp so splashtop would be in full effect.
