What Is AOKP ROM?
Recently, a new ROM – AOKP (Android Open Kang Project) – has become very popular, and is gaining more users with every passing day. Like CM9, AOKP also provides its users with stock Ice Cream Sandwich experience with some tweaks added by the developers to enhance the overall usability experience of the ROM. i have analyzed bugs..
wifi :-kernel problem
camera :- its a problem carried from marko's rom..as i took his base
network:- toughest to solve according to me..coz this problem is solved in P500 by flashing new baseband v20G..whereas in p690 we are on v10f..so m confused in all this

hey bro first of all thanks for your efforts.. +1.......could u temme how u got the bluetooth running...m trying to fix marko's cm9...it would be of great help...and secondly i tried to replace the camera libs and a few other cam related files and even the apk....tried libs from cm7 as well...but it didnt boot up on my phone...will keep trying to fix it...! until then plese pm me about the files u used for bluetooth so that the development for cm 9 may continue as well..
as you can see in my 1st post i used everything as base from marko's rom..i used his old kernel..which has a bluetooth fix..and his new kernel has wifi running..target is to make both running..which is possible if you knw how to compile kernel from source..

camera bug is very tricky..marko gave a solun here to try..in post #1045..please everybody try..and dont forget what combination of files you are trying..

No, it means that this thing is without touchwiz crap (yes, I don't like tw)...
Stock android, as google meant it to be, without any interference from samsung (or other manufacturers)

At least can one of u running this ROM install the following app and confirm if it implements swap properly ... after enabling the swap from this App ... u can open the terminal and run the ' free ' command ... if under swap row u find a reading other than '0' then this kernel supports swap !!!

i think fixing of camera is bit difficult so m thinking now to work on source build .. may be i ll start up with JB now and the same will be applied to aokp ..

I agree with akhilesh an Xperia\silver style aokp would be awesome.
I tried the Rom but been used to aokp now I don't like cm it would be great if you used your own Rom as base.

if possible , plz remove AOKP wallpapers (which saves ~10mb) while raring the upcoming ROMS .. instead provide us the link of AOKP wallpapers so that we can download them to SD card if needed ..

guys in aokp blend xperia version i hav given option for keyboard..i.e normal android ics keyboard or xperia keyboard..you can keep default whichever you want from..language & input in settings.. :angel: :angel:
nice work bro...im using right now your aokp port, the one you uploaded lately, we need some wallpapers from experia or aokp, i dont use live wallpapers it cause me a lot of batt and ram consumption..
is partition been tested in this rom bro?? like s2e?? how was it tested???

Smooth but a few bugs
My experience with this ROM after a day of use
The ROM is really smooth and really good work done with the kernel......:good:
Absolutely no lags whatsoever:good: (except for a slight delay in opening settings)
Pros:
1.The ROM is really smooth and I didn't have to overclock it at all....was responsive all the time. :good:
2.Gapps pre-included so no need to flash:good:
3.Camera working fine. Didn't check video recording. :silly:
4.Battery Backup is really good
Cons/Bugs:
1.Bluetooth doesn't seem to be working. Doesn't switch on.Shows 'Turning on' all the time
2.CRT-off animation cannot be disabled and the screen flickers while locking the device
(Solution: Enable Animations in Developer settings to 1x. Helped reduce extent of flickering at least on my device)
3.Screen animations a bit shabby. Sometimes a frame of an animation simply freezes on the screen(for eg. while exiting from an application to the homescreen. Or maybe rather that's just a problem due to low RAM)

Review Slimbean V2
Here is my review after flashing Slimbean V2
The ROM is very good.. No laggs... Just that the settings opens up a bit late.. Bluetooth working fine.. WIFI working.. UMS Working.. :good:
Bugs:
1. The screen flickers while locking it..
2. Lockscreen needs to be resized(Can unlock the device though)..
3. Google search force closes for me..
Overall this ROM is wonderful!! No major bugs... Can be used as a daily driver... :laugh: :highfive:

Slimteam has an awesome KitKat ROM now. Do you think you'll be able to port it soon!?
The only issue I see is that slim is AOSP based and yajnab's kk is cm based... (If that matters)...
I am game for testing.

None Until Now....
My Xolo Q800's rear camera and flashlight not working ,only front camera works.
I tried many roms and third party apps,but no luck.:crying:
Now i found this ROM and flashed.My LED flashlight works again with the torch widget given in this ROM.,which doesnt happen with other roms,even in MIUI.

Its a feature of kernel and I know how to add these zip files to a ROM but only some ROMs have this option working in whom the kernel supports this option , I read all these info on xda forum not inventing from myself.

Couple things,
-in SMS in field where to choose reciever (phone number) text is dark grey. Hard to see on black background.
- It would be good to have S4 clock/weather widget.
