Smooth but a few bugs
My experience with this ROM after a day of use
The ROM is really smooth and really good work done with the kernel......:good:
Absolutely no lags whatsoever:good: (except for a slight delay in opening settings)
Pros:
1.The ROM is really smooth and I didn't have to overclock it at all....was responsive all the time. :good:
2.Gapps pre-included so no need to flash:good:
3.Camera working fine. Didn't check video recording. :silly:
4.Battery Backup is really good
Cons/Bugs:
1.Bluetooth doesn't seem to be working. Doesn't switch on.Shows 'Turning on' all the time
2.CRT-off animation cannot be disabled and the screen flickers while locking the device
(Solution: Enable Animations in Developer settings to 1x. Helped reduce extent of flickering at least on my device)
3.Screen animations a bit shabby. Sometimes a frame of an animation simply freezes on the screen(for eg. while exiting from an application to the homescreen. Or maybe rather that's just a problem due to low RAM)

Review Slimbean V2
Here is my review after flashing Slimbean V2
The ROM is very good.. No laggs... Just that the settings opens up a bit late.. Bluetooth working fine.. WIFI working.. UMS Working.. :good:
Bugs:
1. The screen flickers while locking it..
2. Lockscreen needs to be resized(Can unlock the device though)..
3. Google search force closes for me..
Overall this ROM is wonderful!! No major bugs... Can be used as a daily driver... :laugh: :highfive:

Slimteam has an awesome KitKat ROM now. Do you think you'll be able to port it soon!?
The only issue I see is that slim is AOSP based and yajnab's kk is cm based... (If that matters)...
I am game for testing.

Alright. Update here. Its actually a decent ROM. Its not silky smooth as CM7 but the ROM is passable. I've encountered some bugs too. When choosing reboot on the power menu, the device freezes. Some apps do not work too eg: Antutu Benchmark. 3pin headset doesn't work and a few flicker screen although not really that bad. As I've said, the ROM can be used for everyday usage if you ignore the bugs mentioned. Keep up the good work and thank you for the ROM!

1. Cant set alarms, clock force closes..
2. Bluetooth doesnt turn on, have to restart to turn on bluetooth..
3. the messaging app in the CM10 was better, with the quick reply and pop up option.. it would have been better if u could include that..
4. Calculator app is still the old GB type.. newer ICS calc would look good i guess..
5. Update me app doesnt work, yes ofcourse its mentioned in the OP..
Apart from these, everything else works just fine.. thnx for this ROM..!

Installation Instruction:
The 1st thing u need is root your device see herehttp://galaxynote2root.com/galaxy-note-2-root/how-to-root-galaxy-note-2-easiest-method/(if you are rooted skip this step)
Download the zip file and copy it to your sd card, and than boot into recovery mode by turn off your phone than hold(volume up+menu+power button)
Do a full wipe is needed if you come from other rom or other version (wipe data+dalvik+factory reset)
After full wipe chose install update from sd-card and chose the zip file that you copy into your device
Than wait for the installation complete and reboot your device.

the battery consumption is kinda nice~ test it~ i not so sure for u because everyone usage were not same~
daily uses works fine just the youtube app cant login~
now updating v1 with aroma installer~

Basic Testing done and it works fine.
All base ROM features working fine. No issues. Looks pretty fast and stable.

Observations
1. Wifi issue for 4.1.2 is there. Needs to do the wifi work around - dial *#0011# to correct it
2. Lock screen ink effect working - with hand
3. 23 toggles in status bar working
4. Extended power menu working
5. Call recording working
6. Camera and video recording working fine
7. Circular Battery with percentage available
8. SNote works fine.
9. Overclocking possible? Not with PimpMyRom
10. Missing Gmail, Google search, Facebook and Dropbox . Need to install separately.
Only the essential Samsung Apps are there - SNOTE - SPLANNER , SVOICE. Very fast!

Observations

3. 23 toggles in status bar working
4. Extended power menu working
5. Call recording working
6. Camera and video recording working fine
7. Circular Battery with percentage available
8. SNote works fine.
9. Overclocking possible? Not with PimpMyRom
10. Missing Gmail, Google search, Facebook and Dropbox . Need to install separately.
Only the essential Samsung Apps are there - SNOTE - SPLANNER , SVOICE. Very fast!

i still trying to fixing the error with the aroma installer @@" kinda confuse at that part maybe after few day will have aroma with gmail,google search,facebook,dropbox

tested? it happened with me too, just reboot it a couple of times and it will work like butter

for blue theme jsut go to themes and in the miui theme store choose from "most popular" ones. Iam working on reducing the lags and trying to make it the smoothest miui ever

I added battery tweaks to build.prop & i even use this rom last whole night, used cm 10.2 & cm 10.1 before,
this battery life gives me satisfy

I have tried CM10.1.2, 10.2.
But the battery and bluetooth problem makes me wonder if I should stay.
Now I am using stock, but I'd like to give this a try.

-NO
-Its smoother than CM 10.1 with kernel v2.6
-offline charging is not fixed in kernel 2.6
-BLN has support only for kernel 3
this ROM is CM10 (TheWhisps) build with kernel v2.6
one of the best rom i have even seen cuz some difficult things i tried to make and i couldn't specialy toggles hope to do more
and can we flash kernal 3x on it ?

Nooo... don't even try kernel v3 on this rom, its based on CM10 & there is no v3 kernel for CM10 yet.
If you try any one from currently available v3 kernels, it will cause shiny hard brick.
