Battery issues - HTC One S

I was having a battery drain issue on trickdroid 5.0 upgraded to 6.1 and that fixed it. my battery lasted like 2 days. After a restart or a recharge or one or the other, it's back. I've had it off the charger for an hour and it's dropped 10 percent. How do I fix this?

Flash again the rom and remember to real wipe everything this time. It usually fixes the problem.

Yup CPU master. I flashed 6.1 and set the freq to 384 and 1184 and battery life was amazing. Will try to flash it again to see if that fixes my problems

Battery life on stock ICS...

Maybe I repeat someone's question???
But, haven't seen any battery posts for recent T-MO ICS update, seen some for custom ROMs thou...
I believe we got a power hog... Charged that thing to 100%.. 2 hours later it was at 85%, basically doing nothing.... couple of calls. Using display at 75% on manual setting. Oh.. Using Anker 1900mA battery.
If you ran in to the same problem, please confirm. What other settings to play with to lower the power consumption???
Thanks!!

My battery has been lasting twice as long. I can't believe how much better the battery is... I have yet to run it down below 30% in a day!
I'm also using an Anker

Thanks guys for your input.
I have my Anker battery for as long as I have my Sensation, 9 month.
I did cycle it 3 -4 times initially and it gave me a great life on GB.
Yesterday I looked through some settings and made changes.
Got Auto sync off (manual mode), some other changes that (don't remember now, getting older...LOL) keep phone looking for services, I believe location. Charging now and will see how it holds.
Will report if there any progress.

Tried any Kernels?
I was to impatient to wait for the TMO ICS update so I slapped on a custom ICS rom but with this kernel by Faux123: (agh, won't let me link up until I have more posts...just search his nick and his posts)
The battery life is insanely good with the Intellidemand...
Check into seeing if it is compatible with your version, maybe by emailing/msging Faux123.

Im sorry but i dont really rely on a kernel for battery life i have flashed tons of em and let them stabilize and never really seen the difference no offence meant to the dev's of course...
Sometime you just need to Re-Calibrate your battery or do a new fresh install which works quite good..

Most people with issues on Stock ICS end up just factory resetting. It tends to fix most issues.
Sensation 4G Battery Life
I have had no problem with battery to be honest. Actually, before I would have to charge my phone every 9 hours. Now for some strange reason I get 36 hours of batter life. Anyone else have this "problem". lol

[Q] Battery life is horrible all of a sudden?

For the past couple of days my battery has been draining at an unbelievable rate. I've been using the same rebel rom for a while and this is a new issue to me. Does anyone have ideas of what I can do to fix this? I can hardly last a single day on one charge when before I could last almost two.
Here are some screenshots.

Same thing happened to my friend, turning off LTE fixed it.
I used to get24 hrs total time and 5 hours screen time. Now I'm averaging 8 hours total and 2.5 hours screen time. No crazy wake locks or anything. Started happening after flashing cleanrom 4.5 and all the different radios. May go to stock ruu reunlock and install 4.5 again see if it helps.

Look in your battery stats and see what is draining the battery.
I know there are a few ROMs that have the 'android os' power drain bug. I don't know the cause or whether a solution is being worked on. It seems the core of many of the ROMs are based on the same things. Kernels, modems, etc.
If it's the android os draining your battery start airplane mode, and then turn it off. Everything should go back to normal.... at least for a day or two.
I've run Zeus and JB-paranoid android. both has this issue. When i ran CM9 i didnt seem to have problems.
If it is not an issue for you, then upgrade to the latest build.
The one you are running is almost a month old now, so a lot of development has occured since then, specially at Scott's pace.
I don't guarantee it will solve your issues.. maybe it is one of your apps. But it definitely would not hurt to update, plus i'm pretty sure you will enjoy it

I'm having same issue and for me, when I restart, ot worked well for a day or two. Whrn android Os is not draining my battery, it spent 1% for 5 hours of stand by. I wanna know if there are permanent solution for this problem.

That's a joke right? 1% in 5 hours of standby is great battery life...think of it this way at that rate it would take 500 hours of standby to die...that's 20 days of standby!
Btw...official specs are 400 hours of standby...so your way above normal in a good way
Edit...think I might've mis read your reply...is the 1% drain when its running good? And what your complaining about is when it drains faster cause of android os?
Sent from my HTC PH39100 using Tapatalk 2
Maybe slightly less than 1% per 5 hours. However, it was that good. I mean I got replacement phone week ago. So it is brand new battery.
But I'm still having that problem.. Android OS drains **** tons of battery. If I restart the phone, it solves problem for a day. I wonder if there is any permanent fix...
thank you

ive seen that reflashing and doing a full wipe, seems to fix this problem 3/5 times. the 4th person usually has a bad download of the rom while the 5th person has figured out the problem on their end.

I flashed zeus a few times with complete wipes. That didn't seem to help. FWIW, I was using 5.2... not the final version. YMMV.
I am having the same problem also on PA.
I believe several others are as well.

I think this might be what you're experiencing. I've noticed a ~%20 continual usage by system_service on multiple JB ROMs not just PA whenever auto-rotate is on. Try turning it off.

Seems to have taken it down a bit.

Any ICS or JB ROMs will use more battery than older builds of android. Its one of the small prices to pay with all the great new features. I carry a charger with me at all times. I'm going to get a larger replacement backup battery and I won't even worry about drainage after that
Ps- which cm10 build are you running? The new 9/26 build fixed quite a bit of battery issues...

My battery life can be extremely frustrating some days and can drain more than 10% per hour without use. I have my accounts set to no connection and my brightness is less than 10%
Here is my batter use:
I do look into my apps and find the application Facebook likes to activate even when I don't open it.
Here's my apps that are running as well:
I would love to find a solution for stable battery life. On a good day my phone will drain 30% over a 8 hour period with moderate use. I consider that pretty good.

Random Reboots after flashing CM10.2 A3

I'm using CM10.2 Alpha 3. I keep getting random reboots when my cell is not on charging. Because of this, the battery drain is heavy. On charging, everything works and there are no random reboots. Somebody plz help!

My battery is more than a year old.
I flashed CM10 and now again its working nicely. Were the reboots because of kernel 3.0?

maybe, mine is 2 years old and have same problems.. soon I will get new one and see if the battery is the problem.
My SL battery is almost two years old. Suddenly it started acting strange and unpredictable. I calibrated the battery and started using battery saving apps. Still going on strong.

Try upgrading to Alpha 4 to see if you still have the issue
Done that. Now it switches off on its own after 10 minutes if not on charging.
I'm using cm 10.2 A3 for a month now, for the first two or three days my ,i faced more reboots.. But is OK after a week .... Actually just picked up some calls and some charting, Changing themes,..... But when i uninstall an app.. (Everytime) it reboots..

Android system

So I have flashed three different ROMs and for every ROM I have ran over 1 week. What is weird is that every time I see why my battery is kinda not as good is that I see on all the battery stats android system is taking like 15-20 percent on each charge . Is anyone else experiencing this?

In most of the cases when you see abnormal "Android System" battery drain, it's becouse you are using Google Now and didn't deactivated location hystory and position

The HTC Sense phones display battery usage a lot differently from the stock Android phones. They specifically minimize the battery usage of the screen which is almost always your biggest drain.
