so i just switched my mytouch 4g over to straight talk i bought the sim online and activated it through thier customer care and the phone works and the data and everything works and so does the 4g. but everytime i call voicemail it says do you have a voicemail press star then asks for my number and after i type it in it says sorry this is not an active voicemail number or something to that effect. so when someone tries to call me and i ignore it they just get a busy signal on their end no voicemail or anything. any one have any ideas on how to get this to work.
Well google voice is a really good voice mail substitute. I'm not sure how to actually fix the number issue
G voice or any other vmail service from the market doesnt work with prepaid phone companies

You've tried them? I have straight talk and It's worked for me before...

Try calling your own number from your phone. That always worked for me.

Did you set up voicemail with your carrier?

That doesnt work I dont get that menu at all. And when I call my own number I get a busy signal lol. I think I should call straight talk maybe its something on thier end

I'd give them a call. Is your phone unlocked (not just rooted)? I'd think I'd it wasn't, you'd have more problems than just voicemail. But that could be it.

Has anyone noticed the ringtone volume is very low when connected to WiFi? I've tested with and without WiFi multiple times and it seems to be very low whenever connected.

I haven't but I have noticed when I'm using WiFi calling I get worse call quality. I know its a WiFi quality/speed thing though.
Sent from my HTC Glacier using XDA App
Yea I noticed that too. Sometimes I have to disconnect the call and turn off WiFi calling to make a call..

That would be the only way we have these phones already. Or unless you robbed a T-mobile employee lol. On another note, I do have this same problem as well. I thought I was just going crazy the first couple times it happened.

Yup T-Mo employee...

i have the same problem with ringer volume on WiFi. An update was pushed to my store demo last night during the refresh. I don't know what it was for but maybe it fixes this issue.
Earlier today, I stopped by a T-Mobile store to swap out my sim card (I had a 2G sim from when I had a blackberry pearl back in the day). Now, after I turned on my phone with the new sim, there is a voicemail notification that will not go away. There is no clear notification button showing, when there is a notification I can clear, the button shows up, but it still won't clear the voicemail one. I have no voicemail (i've used google voice for that for the past 6 or so months), and calling my voicemail changes nothing.
Has anyone else had this? Any thoughts?

In call settings you can clear the voicemail. Menu> settings > call
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
If that didn't work, just get another phone, call yours and leave a v-mail. then delete it and the notification will go away.

I can't get the voicemail icon to go away. I have deleted all my voicemails and restarted my phone, yet every time I turn it back on it says I have a new voicemail.
Stock phone no roms no launchers.

Yeah it does. Just kinda scared because on ATT I got an iphone awhile back and they won't allow me to use it for prepaid.
But yes. T mobile brand.

Yup all T-Mobile phones will work with their prepaid, just throw a sim in their that's pre-paid and it'll work.

Awesome. Thanks a lot
That's what I use now. Works like a charm. The only thing won't have is visual voicemail, since the prepaid plans don't support unconditional call forwarding.

At&t gophone has access to the 4g network now. I think it started in May but not sure on that date.

Yea they gave us 4g lte around may or June but I just now got to changing apn because my old settings still had hspa +
But now for some reason I can't send or receive mms at all and I can't change apn type without losing access to that apn
