Does gophone prepaid even have access to the 4g network? I use straight talk with att SIM and I can't access the lte network. You may be in the same boat

At&t gophone has access to the 4g network now. I think it started in May but not sure on that date.

Yea they gave us 4g lte around may or June but I just now got to changing apn because my old settings still had hspa +
But now for some reason I can't send or receive mms at all and I can't change apn type without losing access to that apn

Not yet, I haven't had good luck with them in the past but I can try again.

Unlocked, Can't send/receive Pictures

I unlocked my HTC Inspire 4G and gave it to someone on T-Mobile. They are saying they can not send or receive pictures. Is there a fix for this like maybe in the APN settings?
Sent from my SGH-I997 using XDA App
I would assume they'd have to have the TMob apn settings for it to work, this is speculation though.
Compare your APN settings to these: http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/android/thread?tid=728949efd681db72

My inspire wont receive 3G?

My inspire is for AT&T which I have unlocked for t - mobile but I only get edge internet...
I saw there was a number to(call)/ dial to change settings but when I set it to 3g my signal would just stop and say no service. I also heard wasn't possible to have 3 but I doubt that, is it true?

That depends on the area where you are....in the case you are using a different carrier from ATT you wont get 3g...just edge.
So "lay012" gets 3g because he has AT&T?
There's no way then?

For 3G
Tmobile uses 1700/2100 MHz
HTC Inspire uses 850/1900 MHz
So to answer you, there is NO way. Have to get a phone that matches the network.
The stuff they teach you in school 'skimming and scanning' or whatever your teachers called it shouldn't be used in life after school. I didn't see the unlocked for T-Mobile part .-.
I'm on AT&T.

No the bands are hardware dependent. This has been talked about it hundreds of times. A search would have shown this.

[Q]Rom that will work with AT&T

Anyone know of a rom that will work with AT&T? Most roms give me an error when I try to search for mobile networks to connect to. Also, do I have to set the apn manually or will it set up when selecting a new network? Thanks.

Yes I believe you have to manually set the apn for AT&T. Google search for the apn settings.

Very weird LTE issue

I am using AT&T One X now, and I signed up a 4G LTE 2 year contract. However, my phone only gets to HSPA+ but not LTE. I've tried different ROMs, flashing radio, choosing the network type(changing into “LTE only” will only cause no signal), etc... None is working.
Any ideas? I live in Diamond Bar, which there are lots of hills and low mountains... Will the signal be a possible cause for the LTE fail?
LTE can be finnicky with signal, but what APN are you currently using?
Are you sure that your city has lte not every city has it yet.

This. It's the most obvious answer but it's probably it.
I live near diamond bar and I get LTE everywhere I go, granted I don't go there..

With the att ruu, the apn is locked and there is only one. So it is definitely the correct apn. With other roms, I tried all apns but none worked.

Since LTE runs on such a low frequency, if you are even a little outside of coverage area, on the fringe, or in low-lying areas, its very possible that you simply dont get LTE coverage. have you tested or witnessed any other LTE devices functioning in your area?

That is true, but you won't necessarily have LTE data unless you've called customer service and had them activate it for your plan.

Apn for gophone service on 4glte

Can anyone help me out? I called att and they gave me apns but I can only get 4g and my phone drops service a lot. I'm using Venom Rom with elemental x kernal.

You shouldn't have to configure apn at all. And what do you mean by 4g? HSDPA+ or LTE??

I don't know what makes you say that, plenty of people have to mess around with their apn settings.

Reason why is that go phone since they allow iPhone and LTE phones use the same apn settings as postpaid. Every ROM I flash I never had to configure data

Just switched to GoPhone from T-Mobile. LTE working fine without any additional configuration.
