Hello all.... just got my one s a few days ago
was running energy for a while
i went to axiom played for a little while and tried out trick droid 6.1.0
wasn't getting service so i went back to axiom
no service or signal there either
went back to energy... still no service
I used the stock T-Mobile boot.IMG file in the threads
Using the stock kernal as well
tried removing the sim card and putting it back in, still no luck
any ideas? I'm stuck using my one x without data
Thanks in advance!
Wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik. Reinstall Rom. Fastboot flash boot.boot.IMG and fasboot erase cache. See what happens. Can explain later, on my phone now. Pm if you have questions.

Since I assume you're rocking T-Mobile, try this: Wipe everything as mentioned above and pick a ROM that you want. After a full wipe, flash the ROM of your choice, then flash the latest T-Mobile radio zip, which can be found HERE. Get the radio version from the T-Mo US update: 1.84.... I HIGHLY suggest you use TWRP's recovery as you do NOT have to flash any boot.img's from fastboot. You can also just straight flash the radio zip from TWRP as well.
If after this you still have nothing (unlikely), go to Settings>More>Wireless settings>APNs (access point names) and tell me what shows up there. We will work from here.
Oh CSP...how I love you. I wanted to see if it worked without a radio flash just to see. At OP, what he posted is definitely a good way to go. If you're not using TWRP and are using CWM, flash radio and you'll have to fastboot the boot IMG.

thanks for the quick reply guys
i tried what you guys said twice, still no luck
using twrp... go into network settings and in access point names,
i see tmobile data and tmobile mms
i locked the bootloader and flashed the official ruu to take it back to stock, but still no luck
thanks again
Well, you have all the APNs you need... Next bet is to go to T-Mo and see if they can give you a new SIM card. My old Nexus One killed 2 SIMs in its day.
Went to tmobile today, did a sim swap and still no luck
Next step, get a warranty replacement. If flashing the ruu didn't work, and a brand new sim didn't work. Nothing really it can be besides hardware.

Ok I am in dire need of help! I just flashed my G2x and have no connection to tmob ile whatsoever. Ive tried three different roms no including eagles blood, hell fire phoenix and now bionix. each time ive got no tmobile connection and no battery data also. dont know if ive done something wrong any help?
Have you tried CM7? Did you do a full wipe prior to installing? Have you tried to flash back to stock? We need a little more info, please.
yes ive tried cm7. i just recently reverted completely back to stock and still no connection or battery data. when i originally flashed rom yes i did full wipe cache wipe and dalvik wipe. well when i had flashed clockwork mod recovery i did it through rom manager and my first custom rom flash resulted in a boot loop and i wasnt able to get back into recovery.. after hours of searching i figured out how to flash recovery through apx and was able to get into clockwork recovery and there i flashed my rom.. since then ive tried everything to get a connection to the network with no success. even reverting to full stock.. now before it was stock gingerbread and now its back to froyo.. have tried over and over to use lg update tool with no success.. thanks for all and any help
So im still searching.. With no luck.. Turns out it is a baseband problem says unknown.. Im literally seconds from throwing this phone at the wall!! Aaagh...
If you have no baseband, you may not have a radio installed... no radio/unknown = no data. Try flashing your desired ROM and then flashing a radio. I don't much about the G2X... you might want to check this thread out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1332350
Also, I just read that you can go to LG's website and use their official updater. Some users have said they had to return to stock to get it to work, while another claims they had CWM Recovery and CM installed and it worked perfectly. Bottom line is that is sounds like you need a radio.
Yea ez stuff. Downlosd radio and flash it

I was installing a ROM on my Inspire 4G from ClockworkMode Recovery, but the problem is that after having installed, the phone does not start the ROM, just enter on the Recovery, and I go back to reboot and return to Recovery and I can start my phone.
Any ideas?
Could be a bad flash, try first wiping and flash again. Or a bad download, download with a PC and save it to your and card flash again. What ROM are you trying to flash?

a few days ago I had a problem with my bootloader it took about 20min to start But I could solve it with this method:
"Managed to solve the delay after booting by Following These steps:
download http://tinyurl.com/6fkvepx
unzip-HBFX.zip PD98IMG
installer using busybox
turn on usb debugging
adb push hboot.nb0 / data/local/tmp/hboot.nb0
adb shell
md5sum / data/local/tmp/hboot.nb0
dd if = / data/local/tmp/hboot.nb0 of = / dev/block/mmcblk0p18
md5sum / dev/block/mmcblk0p18
exit
adb reboot "
That might damaged in any way?
And yes, i`m wiping.
I don't think so; everything you pushed should be formatted when you wipe and overwritten when you install. I don't want to say it but you could have a bootloader issue and reverting to stock and doing all that might help but that seems a little to drastic. If you jump on the IRC with the hack kit they might be able to tell you how to flash your bootloader over without a complete revert and the devs on the collective's Palringo chat room may have some better options.

Thinking about it a little more and reading your post again. I would look at flashing your bootloader again. I want to say it's as easy as loading a pm_img and flashing through hboot but double check with someone it's late but you should find someone on IRC

I had my TB running Zeus Skyraider. I was having some minor issues but nothing that really scared me. I decided to restore it/unroot it in case I had to bring it in. I used the app thunderbolt restore. Now it won't boot past the white "HTC" screen and it only says HTC, no "Quietly brilliant". I can get to the bootloader but it automatically tries to install a update and won't let me do anything other than reboot. I'm really scared I bricked my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I should probably also mention that it did boot up once and everything looked fine, and then I tried to install a verizon OTA update. That is when it started really having problems.
You might yet clearing your cache.

But I can't even get to recovery. The bootloader won't let me.
After the bootloader checks IMG150 or whatever it asks if I want to start update. Whatever I say it just leads to the plain HTC screen again. It also says "***LOCKED***" at the top of the screen. Is my phone completely locked?
The bootloader is locked. Perhaps flash an RUU to return to stock rather than an ota.

Ok, I am pretty bad at this stuff. Can someone point me to an appropriate RUU. I don't know what I should use. Does the radio I had before restoring matter or anything like that? I just want to know exactly what I am doing before I do it.
Okay, Zeus is gingerbread, so if you were running that, then you are best served flashing one of the gingerbread RUU files. You most certainly do NOT want to flash a froyo version.
Development Stickies have them. Read up on how to flash it.

Yes.
Remove the SD and then try to factory reset from the bootloader.
If it doesn't work remove the PG05IMG.zip off of the SD and then rename this https://dl.dropbox.com/u/61129367/Stock-ROM.zip to PG05IMG.zip and put it on the SD and then boot to the bootloader and run it. Then remove the file from the card and try to boot.
So nothing ITT seemed like it helped because the phone was not booting up all the way, but this morning it was on and everything was working so, I think it is at least in a state where I can take it to a verizon store and see what they can do about it. Thanks for all of the advise everyone.

hi everyone. I need some help here with my At&t Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. I had my phone unlocked and work on T-mobile GSM fine but I only got EDGE for data. I then flash it with with a T-mobile radio according to the instruction here at XDA forrum to try to get 3G/4G. after flashing the radio the baseband in the phone showed "unknown" and I lost both GSM and EDGE. the phone even didn't recognize my SIM card,I don't know If I did something wrong.
Here How I did
1. I flash CWM 5.8.x
2 I update to CWM 14.x.x touch version
3. Root the phone with SuperSU busy box
4. Flashing tmo_SGH-T989_VK1.zip radio
5. No signal.
It seem to be the radio I tried to flash didn't go in correctly. BTW I still keep the stock ROM form At&T (ICS 4.0.4)

I finally understand the problem the phone simply doesn't accept the radio. I flashed the new radio and turn out the original radio was removed and new one didn't go in. when i flashed a full stock ROM the original radio came back. may be the ROM and radio have to be compiled together.

Uh no you have to flash the modem before the ROM to get a good flash from what I've seen. Also I think almost every radio exempting maybe gingerbread radios as I haven't tested them should work on every ROM exempting maybe tw based.

I was experimenting my M8 with T-Mobile sim card. I flashed 5.0.1 GPE ROM and everything worked fine. I also changed its CID to T-MOB010 and flashed ViperOneM8 3.2.1. It worked fine as well. But after I reverted everything back (by loading 3.28.605.4 0P6BIMG and firmware, and restoring a TWRP backup), I discovered I can no longer get 4G/LTE signal. I can only get 3G. Try a factory reset using stock recovery. Not twrp or any custom recovery. Has to be stock recovery.
Sent from my HTC6525LVW using Tapatalk
I understand completely where you are coming from. I flashed the same rom and my phone stop connecting to LTE when in global mode. I have flashed the 4.4.2, 4.4.3, and 4.4.4 RUU and went into the stock recovery and did a factory reset and it still does not work.
Right now I am running cleanrom 3.0 also. The only time I can get LTE is when I go into settings and switch it to LTE only.
The only thing I think it can be is when I do the factory reset on the RUU, the says restoring Verizon NV flash rather than formatting it. I want to try and flash a T-MOBILE RUU to see if it will format it and clear it out then switch back to Verizon but I don't know if that will brick my phone. If I can't find a way to wipe the NV the only thing else to do is run the phone over with my car a couple times then claim warranty.
Not trying to knock digital high's rom because he and several others put a lot of work into the stock 5.0 rom and I really appreciate the effort, but I wish I didn't flash it because I think there is an underlying issue with the rom that is affecting a small portion of our phones. And it is so small that there is no support to fix it. I have scoured the forum to find a fix and nothing has worked so far. But these are the problems we accept when we hack our phones and flash non factory software.
I hope you find a fix and if you do please let me know. Good luck.

I'm having the LTE issue as well. I'm currently running DigtalHigh's GPE 12/18 release with the updated firmware. LTE works on first boot until I connect to my Wi-Fi network, after that I never see LTE again. I tried everything, and I mean everything. I tried the RUU back to 4.4.4 and doing a factory reset from that... I get the same result, LTE on 1st boot until the WiFi connects and then it's gone for good again until the next complete reset.
The most recent thing I tried was replacing the SIM card (while on the GPE rom)... this worked flawlessly. I had LTE again for a few days... until I made a phone call from my car using Bluetooth, at which point the phone geeked out, switching from speaker to line-out to bluetooth audio and eventually dropping my call (not sure if that is somehow related to the LTE issue), but now I'm back to no LTE again.
But I get full bars of 3G, so I've got that going for me... which is nice.
Is it possible for you to put in a new SIM while on another Rom like clean rom to see if LTE will stay?

DH GPE with custom firmware has hooped the VZW LTE radio settings, it has overwritten them...no amount of custom rom re-installations will fix this.
As stated above, the easiest way to fix this is to simply flash a stock Verizon RUU, and THEN do a factory reset from the stock recovery. I used http://forum.xda-developers.com/ver...ent/ruu-m8vzw-4-4-4-s-off-onlynewest-t2914914 with the SD card method and it worked fine.
After you do the stock factory reset you can then install DH GPE again, without using custom firmware.

I know what it is, but what I don't know is what stock are you referring to; do I have to downgrade to 4.4.4 or when you mean stock it doesn't matter if it's Lollipop 5.0.1.? Thank you sir!

Boy this horse is getting beat to death. Go to Dottat's RUU posts where he explains it all. I used the 5.0.1 S-Off one. Once it's installed, boot, and then reboot to it's stock/factory recovery and do a factory reset. That will fix your 4G/LTE problem. Then you get root back and flash a "custom" recovery like TWRP. I followed the Sunshine instructions. If you don't want/need root or TWRP skip it and you'll have an S-off stock not rooted phone.

It's been a few years since I wore my horse, the HD2 to death and I didn't stumble on to the cure until the wee hours this morning. It eventually comes back and like the wife hitting your head with the iron skillet...ding, ding, ding....external micros SD card and RUU; I remember how to do that. I'm S-Off, this will work. What I didn't know is what is "stock"; factory state you walked out the store with or matching the ROM to the firmware and if I'm going to downgrade to reset the NV configuration, what all that entails. It's the jargon, I need to learn and that takes time. I sincerely appreciate what the OPs do and where they direct me to; thanks!

Answered this once already in the last 24 hours and this will be the last time.
Stock recovery is the matching HTC provided recovery img that is from the matching firmware version you are currently on. If you are on 1.X firmware it's best to find stock recovery from the 1.X ruu or firmware zip file.
Stock recovery is only provided by HTC.
Why is this so dang difficult to understand folks and why does the question need to be repeatedly posed?

Well, not all brains are wired the same. I do understand providing a direct link again or now would be like defeating the purpose. Although sometimes some words in some directions or answers are misleading to One and very confusing.

Point is the information is already out there. Nothing misleading about it.
There are some basic premises that better be understood first lest he avoid failure by leaving that boot loader locked and s on.
Capiche?

Because, those of us doing the asking while we truly and sincerely appreciate the work all of you do, and believe me "I" do, some of you, not all of you completely fail at the teaching aspect of the knowledge you possess. That said, thank you very much; it worked. I can't tell you whether it was the factory reset or performing the edit inside ##778; the moment I put the wife's Straight Talk (Verizon) SIM card in; 4G LTE returned. I did not have access to the dial code until now. Again, thank you!
