I've recently noticed after installing CleamRom 3.0 and Clean Rom 4.1 that my sound, ringtone, notification volume is too low compared to other stock htc one X's. I've tried doing a format, and wiping cache, still didn't work.
Is there any solution?
Thanks.
It's been reported that wiping cache then re flash the rom fixes it. Don't wipe data just cache.
try volume+ in the playstore
try wiping dalvik
yes, as ups say try wiping dalvik
i always have same problem every time i flash but what works for me is disable Fast Boot from power option and hot reboot the phone and then reboot the phone asap vol goes back to normal...this is the only way it works for me wiping dalvik never did you might want to give it a try
I tried that and everything else mentionned, still doesnt work. Really really weird

i love the rom ive checked everything i can think of i can see the boot animation and boot sound file in system and its checked in spare parts but still at boot no start up sound the first time i installed the Rom the installation mp3 played but nothing after that anyone know why? Ive also tried re-flashing after re-downloading the rom just in case it got corrupted but still no luck
did you do a full Wipe after you installed the ROM?
you need to wipe data, wipe cache, wipe dalvik
6.4 is out, try that one, and do the full wipe after the install
version: v8.5
wiped data/factory reset
wiped cache
wiped battery statistics
installed v9 using CWM 5(install zip from SDCARD).
result: bootloop
what gives?
My suggestion would be to try and Flash it all the way from kpe->kpq-> Miui .
This should not be happening based on what you have done so far. That is why the extreme measure of starting over.
If it still does not boot. We might be looking at something entirely different than screwed flashing.

I install so: flash to KPE---KPQ---Root---Flash with CWM Miui V9. and good
even i had this problem...flash your i9003 with kpq and do factory reset/wipe cache...after rooting process is done using cf root...install miui and clear cache/factory reset
another suggestion may be only good for those not quite in bootloop:
when I flashed to v9, all of a sudden the phone had difficulty "waking up" for an alarm or incoming call. the home button wasn't enough, so I had to press the power button instead. things were weird like that, even when set to oc, etc., until I re-flashed vurrut v3 kernel. things have been normal after that. I didn't factory reset, just wiped caches before flashing v9 so I don't know why it worked that way for me.
is it possible that someone stuck in bootloop may be able to recover without starting over by doing this? for the next person that bootloops, try flashing vurrut v3 from recovery and wipe caches again, then try starting the phone and see if you still have bootloop.
May it helps...
Clean flash of xxkpe then xxkpq.....cf root for xxkpq.......nt ny kernal.....go to recovery...factory reset....cache clear....clear dalvik cache...battery stats....format system...flash v9......repeat procedure not flashing...nd dnt format the system again...reboot...keep still for 10 min....ur done
I found that" ddkp3" as bottom package will be more power, than other bottom package power, I tried
Hey guys I am running into a problem after I flash CM10 to my GSIII, It flashes fine (rooted, unlocked bootloader, using CWM) up until I try to boot at which it gets stuck on the boot animation where it just runs for what i assume to be forever, I gave up after 10 min the 3 times I tried. Is anyone else having this problem or have any idea how to fix it.
Thanks in advance
I would try two things, first be sure you cleared everything (dalvik cache, factory reset, clear cache) in CWM, and if you're still having problems try the "fix permissions" option in CWM.
happened to me earlier, I wiped cache, dalvik, factory reset, and flashed again, and it worked
LKJ
Derp, it was the factory reset, i had always been clearing the catches so i dont know why it didnt occur to me to do the reset, but thanks a bunch guys

I recently upgraded from the stock OS to Cyanogenmod 9 on my MyTouch 4G Slide and I've noticed that, sometime after I boot up, notification and system sounds stop playing. If there is a vibrate associated with the sound event, that still happens, but no sound plays. Playing around with the Sound settings, changing volumes, changing from silent to vibrate to normal profile all have no effect. Rebooting seems to fix the problem.
are you s-off or unlocked? maybe you need to reinstall your rom or wipe dalvik cache on your cwm recovery

I am unlocked, but still S-ON. What does wiping the Dalvik cache do? The device was factory-reset before I installed CM.
wiping dalvik is As I understand it, the dalvik cache stores optimized versions of your application dex files. The dex file is a dalvik executable file and is filled with dalvik bytecode. It is very similar to java in that regard. Most of the stock apk's located in your phone's rom have odex files which are optimized dex files not needed to be stored in the cache. I am unsure as to wether or not they actually are.
but sometimes fixes the problem if not prob you have to redownload the rom and fastboot flashboot boot.img on your bootloader and reinstall the rom....
hopefully that helps

So it seems my lollipop custom hyperdrive rom has come down with a odd hangup suddenly where if I install a new app and then reboot it suddenly comes to a freezing halt after awhile, unless I go back and uninstall the most recently installed app's again and reboot. I've tried clearing dalvik and art cache and regular cache.... My question was what is clearing system, I know if I clear data I loose all my user installed app's info, is system the same thing but preinstalled app's when ya first boot up the rom and your defined choices in settings? What else am I able to do before trying a dirty flash or clean install altogether to get rid of this odd bug?

Wiping system partiton would mean that you dont have an OS like in computer if you format the C drive(hypothetically), your pc wont boot up but your data(in hard drive D or E) would be there. Only wipe system from TWRP if you will subsequently flash another ROM. You could do a factory reset instead(goto TWRP click Wipe then Swipe To Factory Reset . If that doesnt solve your problem, flash a stock ROM or switch to a diff custom one.
