Rogers models?

I have seen a few roms on xda for the infuse that are for Rogers phones only here on xda? I have a Samsung Galaxy S 4G that is originally a Rogers phone and I would like to flash/root it. My question is, could I have problems flashing the roms I find here because it is in fact a ''Rogers'' 4g?? Sorry if this is a noob question I just want to make sure before I go and flash it.
That depends, is your phone's model SGH-T959V?
The model is SGH-1997R. So I think the answer would be no.
Sweet Thanks guys. Im thinking its a 1997 as well because the camera is in the center rather than off to the side but I don't have the phone in hand right now to check. After having to teach Rogers tech support how to check the model number through the settings he was still unable to tell me which model it is they carry. Ill just check when I get the phone back. I wont touch it if its a SGH-T959V untill I read more into the difference on flashing these two phones.

galaxy s2 or Skyrocket

What i mostly wanna know is about data seeds. Which ice is better, and pictures a are a must. Speedtest
I was on the same boat as you, an eventually decided to get the SG2 because of the reviews, faster processor, an the Custom ROM's.
This video can help you out, both phones are great an fast just Google this.
Samsung Galaxy S II vs. Skyrocket – Smartphone Smackdown! (Video)
i bought samsung galaxy s2 skyrocket and i returned it and got sgs2 only because of the pictures.. For me I think the picture quality in sgs2 is way better than skyrocket its more crisp and not pixilated.. oh by the way another reason is its hard to text in one hand on skyrocket.
Skyrocket the best!!!!!
They are generally the same phone but the skyrocket is at&t's version of the Samsung Galaxy S II

Ok, this is like the 4th thread you commented on and you clearly don't know what you are talking about. The Skyrocket is not AT&Ts version of the SGSII. That would be the I777. The Skyrocket is the LTE version of the SGSII which coincidentally is the same phone (hardware wise) as the T-mobile hercules. OP, if you live in an area that supports LTE, get the skyrocket...if not, get the regular SGSII.

Not really, T-Mobile's GSII is lacking the LTE bits of the Skyrocket (which makes both not the same hardware-wise), which is AT&T's version for the SGSII LTE.

Actually the LTE Radio is tucked away in there. Devs are working on the radio situation with that phone. They are the exact same phone. Same body, same guts, different branding. They can flash each others ROM's and radios, but they havent figured out a way to unlock the LTE radio inside of the hercules.

[Q] Right forum for Rogers' Galaxy S II LTE (SGH-i727R)?

Hey guys, I am a Rogers customer who recently had my captivate hard brick and after a war with customer support is getting a free Galaxy S II LTE (SGH-i727R.)
Is this the place for custom roms for that phone? I looked at the specs and it seems like the Skyrocket and the Rogers version are almost the same aside from the Skyrocket having a 4.52 screen and the Rogers version having a 4.5 inch screen.
I should have my new phone in a couple days and I am very excited!
it sure is the place make sure u read up before u flash anything

[Q] Galaxy SII 4G (I9210)

Hi all,
I just went out to get a Galaxy SII and ended up with something different. I got the Telstra 4G model with model code I9210-T. It is a totally different phone, physically bigger and a faster CPU.
I did a search and couldn't really find any helpful info, does anyone know if I can get a ROM for this? I have rooted the phone no worries but I'm concerned because I originally wanted the SII for its community support and available mods. Having this seemingly different model worries me that it won't be supported.
Can anyone tell me where I stand with this and whether or not I should keep it or get a different one? Will this see the same level of support as the SII or is it a Telstra only kind of thing?
Thanks
Tim
Hey Tim,
A few of us have started a thread here with trying different ROM's.

I'm guessing because you don't have the international version is why it's saying it's incompatible. As to a way of tricking it, I don't know, but I doubt it.
Edit: After looking around some more, I see people complaining that it doesn't support rooted devices. That could also be causing issues..
Edit2: Some good info here - http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/1923915
