After upgrading to ICS, i did a wipe at one point, and then, it wont connect to wifi at all.
So i flashed back to honecomb with pc odin, rooted, and use mobile odin to flashed ICS again.
Now it connects to wifi, but regularly dropping connection. To reconnect, i need to either toggle wifi on/off, or sometime even reboot.
Anyone else seeing this?
===================
EDIT: The wifi connection problem is parially solved by installing an app called wifi fixer. See post #53 on page 6.

Yes. Same here. I reloaded the ROM multiple time and it seem ok now. At one point after it is working, I tried this to root. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=28273745&postcount=213
As soon as the CWM is loaded, the wifi failed again. Had to re-load a few time and got boot loop as well. Finally got it to work on one of the re-load and I am keep my hands off any mod for now. It is better to have stock ICS working than root working.

Mine is not working with or without root...
I also had this problem. I kind of fixed it flashing de LA3 modem (baseband).
To do this I downloaded the firmware from Portugal and flashed only the modem using the Mobile Odin.
I did this yestday and until now it's working flawless (and the GPS is also working with this modem).

Obrigado, P3dro. Vou tentar aqui. Você tem o backup do firmware brasileiro? A propósito, onde você encontrou a versão de Portugal?
Thanks. I'm going to try it here. Do you have a backup of brazilian firmware?
Btw, where did you find Portugal's firmware?
Seems like HK Tabs are having problems in the ICS thread including me. I first flashed using odin but was having problems with WiFi. I then went back to HC HK rooted then flash with mobile odin pro to ICS. Still problems. I flashed with HC Austria then mobile odin to ICS. Reflashed and cleared cached with mobile odin a couple more times. I'm still having problems. I'll try a different modem.

I made a nandroid backup prior to flashing the ICS (I cannot find the original brazilian firmware to download).
The Portugual's firmware I downloaded using the CheckFuz Downloader - http://fus.nanzen.se/

I don't know if it is possible to flash only the modem using Odin.
With the Mobile Odin, you open the program, press "Modem" and search for the firmware (this way it will only flash the modem).

Se você abrir a ROM de portugal com o Winrar ou programa parecido, dá para extrair o arquivo modem.bin. Você poderia fazer isso e disponibilizar? O meu tab é o modelo brasileiro.

Can someone plz upload the modem.bin file? It is inside the tar or zip file from the Portugal ROM. It will fix the wifi issues.
So i had to solve this by myself.
If you are having wifi dropping issues just download this file http://www.mediafire.com/?w57wd5xpdl2nuf2 unzip it and flash it using ODIN on Phone

Gathering from posts in this thread, this is the modem firmware from a honeycomb rom (LA3) for Portugal.
My question to shotgunrox is, could any honeycomb (e.g., LA2) for any country work? If not, why does it have to be this one (LA3, Portugal)?

Hi guys, those who are looking Indian Retail firmware here it is:
Download "5.5.1-EDEM-27-SEARET_cfc.xml.zip" from http://sbf.droid-developers.org/edison/list.php
I confirm this is exact Retail version we have on our phones in India.
Now any devs here who can please create a custom ROM based on this? For those who don't know, Indian firmware doesn't have any restrictions like AT&T. Hotspot, network selection, *#*#4636#*#* menu all work absolutely fine, no bloatware or AT&T crap either. Indian hardware works fine with AT&T firmware so AT&T hardware should work with Indian ROM as well, with no issues.
I request any Devs here to please make a custom ROM out of this Indian firmware. Once it is properly tweaked and modded I know it will be best and most popular ROM for our beloved Atrix 2 so far.
Count me in.
I'm currently working on getting a 100% functional ME865 ROM working on the A2 because it is also much less restricted and has features like call recording, call/sms blocking, and native screenshot features. However I think that a ROM based off the Indian MB865 would be more stable on our AT&T A2 so I'd like to try it . It won't be too hard to get a stock, rooted, deodexed ROM out of the fxz and then I'll see if I can add in some the the ME865's extra features .
I'm downloading the fxz now on super-slow internet. I'll flash tonight and see what I can do (time permitting).

Call recording? Interesting. Indian ROM doesn't have this function. Ever since I moved away from Nokia (years ago), I always missed this thing in Android. Would really look forward to your ROM. And yes, Indian and US hardware is exactly same, even model no. is same, so they can use each other's ROM, tried AT&T ROM on my Indian model and it works flawlessly, if only AT&T crap and restrictions were not there. Patiently waiting for your ROM. Gonna be very popular I believe.

Atrix 2 is not like Milestone, MS can be flashed any carrier without problems (some FW may improve radio signal)
help please!!!
I have the US version of the Atrix 2, and I tried to flash it with the Indian firmware in RSD Lite. But I got flashing failed error in step 7 of the flashing process. So I tried to flash it with the Original ATT firmware, but it fails in step 3 for the ATT firmware. Please help man, I love this phone

So it all makes sense now, only those phone which are sold in INDIA is supported by that FXZ, since I cannot flash the US FXZ on my Indian Phone, it just does not support!
So I guess, the only way to go ahead with building a ROM from this FXZ is to have a Indian Build phone ...(LOL I sound like racist... ) Then restore the ROM later on US phones!

I believe ASIAOPS is for some particular Asian Operator in some country, I am not sure though. MEARET is Middle East Retail, SEARET is South East Asia Retail.... Initially just guessed this SEARET thing and then matched with my ROM backup.

Not entirely true. I have been insisting on this in every thread here that AT&T stock works on Indian version BUT if you try and flash 2.3.6 with RSD Lite it fails. I have an Indian version but if you try 2.3.5, particularly from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1539167 it flashes and works flawlessly, though with AT&T restrictions. I tried every method but this script thing was only method that worked for my Indian Atrix 2, I am not sure how, but it brought my phone to life and then I flashed 2.3.6 over it and it worked, even AT&T version...
I have this unlocked Samsung galaxy S2 skyrocket i727 ICS 4.0.4 Stock updated via Kies (baseband version I727UCLF6), It is rooted and have ClockworkMod TOUCH 5.5.0.4 on it too.
Then I put my T-Mobile SIM on it and i got 2G speed (edge)
So i done some searching and i found that i have to flash a t-mobile radio on it in order to operate at a full speed.
I have flashed to this radio Blaze_4G_LB7_ICS.zip then I COULDN'T GET ANY SIGNAL ANYMORE THEN I FLASHED TO THIS radio (to put it back to ATT Radio) I UCLF6 Radio with correct csc ALSO NO SIGNAL
I got no signal sign on the top right

If the phone boots, it's not bricked. A "brick" is when your phone is stuck in a bootloop, won't turn on at all, etc. making it totally unusable.
I hate to ask the obvious question, but...did you put the AT&T SIM back in after flashing the AT&T radio?

Five bucks says that's your problem. Also, when flashing a new radio, make sure it's compatible with your device. If it's not, you'll get results like above or worse.

One of the more experienced devs may step in here, but at this point, I think you need to wipe your phone and use the instructions provided to take your phone back to stock. Use Titanium Backup beforehand to back up whatever apps you want (don't back up bloat or system apps considering the nature of your problem) and you can restore them once stock is renewed.
Note: Use the instructions provided! Don't skip steps, do things out of order, or succumb to knee-jerk panic reactions like flashing an incompatible radio without first setting your phone up to be compatible. Make sure you understand what you're doing before you start messing with things, or you probably will find a way to hard-brick your Skyrocket.

Hi,
Yesterday, I had an update from 4.1.1. to 4.1.2. I'm running the stock rom. After I ran in the update, I re-rooted using CF-Auto Root.
Today, I thought I'd do a factory reset. Now, my phone won't detect any SIM card (I've tried 2) and although it seems to detect my wifi, it won't connect.
I had the phone on airplane mode when I selected the factory reset, but I wouldn't have thought that would matter.
Interestingly, I can now select airplane mode to turn on, but it then ghosts out and I can't turn it off.
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Please help!
I'm inclined to think this is a software problem as both sim and wifi worked perfectly before the factory reset.
I've tried registering with SamMobile to download the stock rom, but their registration page seems to be wonky. It complains I haven't completed the anti-spam task, but this area of the form is just blank.
yep.. thats a loophole in google... try doing it again... this time with cwm.. if that doesnt work.. u have to get the stock rom via odin

Do you mean this is a known problem then?
I've tried a few more resets with airplane mode on and off and nothings worked.
I don't have cwm at the moment although I could flash that. Where could I get the stock rom from though, besides SamMobile?
Thanks

I just flashed the exact modem I had before, and my baseband, imei etc. are all coming up unknown.
When I enter *#1234#, my cp number is also unknown.
Do roms also include modems? I was once told they didn't. Sorry, I've never flashed anything before besides when I was getting root access

Thanks for all the replies.
One further question, then I'll go hunting ....
I have the GT-N7105T. I know the T variant has different radios. Some people say you can use N7105 roms and some people say no.
Can I safely use an N7105 rom on my N7105T? The phone is pretty useless at the moment but I'd rather not brick it.
Thanks

There's your problem!
The difference between the regular Galaxy model and the T variant is the modem. Telstra 'tweak' it on a hardware level for their NextG network and it means that the performance of the modem is affected to varying degrees (severe in your case) if you use a non 'T' modem.
There should be a modems thread, there should be a N7105T modem. I'll have a look and post back if I find one.

BOOM!
TDVDMB1 (Australia / Telstra) N7105TDVDMB2
TDVALK4 (Australia / Telstra) N7105TDVALK3
Either of these should work, keep them to flash after you reflash a rom onto your phone
good for u.. u got an australian to help u out..

I've tried flashing the modem but unfortunately it had no effect.
I don't have the phone on me so I can't confirm this, but I'm starting to have scary thoughts about the efs. Unfortunately the only changes I've ever made to my Androids was just to root, and I didn't even know what the efs was.
Thing is, after my update my phone worked fine for over 24 hours before I reset it. Does this sound like the efs? How can I tell if that's the problem?
I guess I had to learn somehow, and I've definitely learnt ...
Would it be possible for me to get a copy of an efs folder from another Note 2 and adapt it to mine?
For anyone else who may come across this, I solved the problem by downloading the stock ROM from sammobile and flashing that.
I have also now flashed TWRP and have taken a nandroid including the EFS.
We all have to start somewhere, but hopefully my bad experience will prevent someone else's.
I has tried to flashed another roms to my US Cellular note 10.1 without back-up it!
then I have understood any another roms are not suitable for this device! I can not flash any roms to my device both Odin or recovery!
so who can sent me his backups of recovery from US cellular note 10.1. maybe original rom will working, please help me thanks very very much!!! :crying::crying::crying:
I kown there are cyanogenmod system for I925, but it have so many bugs! TF-card is not working! and lack many functions than original system.

Go to sammobile.com. You will need to register to download but you can go to top left, check your firmware version. You may need to know what your original csc was but that should be just a request away.
Download the file it gives and flash with ODIN.
This should fix your problem but then again, no promises...

I have a similar request. I bought my US Cellular Note used and it already had CM 10.2 installed. I would like to return it to stock, but when i went to Sammobile.com and registered, it did not list our US Cellular Note's firmware. I was told by other users that there was no way to return to stock on our Note's. I was able to locate a Stock rom for the Verizon version of the Note (SCH-i925) and was wondering if it would work on our's (SCH-i925u)?
Any help is appreciated!

were you able to fix the problem? If so, how? I softbricked mine after trying Adam's method of unlocking bootloader via CASUAL. Now all I can try to do is put it in download mode and hopefully flash a rom.
thanks
Still No stock tomorrow

After manually updating to MM and reinstalling apps, I discovered that I no longer listen to the built in radio. Is anyone else having this problem? Is there any kind of fix? I kept getting a hardware issue error.
Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same issue
I've never seen the FM radio on my VZW M8 on any Android version. I tried to install APKs for it but could never get it to run. I assumed Verizon neutered it on their phones. I do, however, see some vestigial components of the FM subsystem in the file system.
I have to agree with Drunkula...
Unless you were on a custom ROM which offered the FM Radio, I don't believe it ever baked officially in by Verizon.
AS far as I know, Verizon does not allow FM radios on their phones. They would rather you stream your music and pay for higher data tiers to do so.

I just got this m8. Was on stock s-off before mm upgrade. No native fm app but you could install next radio and use the fm tuner no problem. This stopped working with mm

I am stock, s-off, and rooted. Still on 4.4.2. Sideloaded the HTC fm radio app and just now verified it works. I will probably be manually doing the MM update this weekend. I hope someone figures out how to make this work. Don't use it often, but comes in handy when needed.

+1 on this. I miss the functionality. Dont want to carry another device.
As an experiment I restored a twrp backup (pre MM). The FM radio feature was functional. I'm guessing it's a software thing.
As a second test I restored a pre MM backup and flashed dottat's MM firmware file. I still had non FM functionality. Once again I'm thinking it's software related.
I'm hoping someone (alas, I don't have the know how) could figure out this dilemma and fix it.

Verizon has never included it, but they also never did anything special to try and block a rooted user from sideloading it.
In Marshmallow, they have.
Anyhow, I took a logcat to see what they had done and figured it out.
It will be included in my stock debloated rooted rom.
It's not something I can post for a non rooted user, so yes it requires at least an unlocked bootloader, preferably s-off.

That's great! and I'm sure it will be appreciated by users of your rom....
but. couldn't there be a flashable patch for stock rooted users that does the insmods or whatever toybox now does to enable the hardware?
I'd be willing to try your rom if /data could be left intact but the thought of reloading a wipe is something Id rather avoid.
I do appreciate the work it takes do a rom like yours, really, and may give it a go, but I just hate re-doing the phone unless I have no other choice.
Regards...
Can´t wait for a MM ROM with FM Radio working. :fingers-crossed:

I was close enough to a fresh install (using dottat's S-ON )
I am S-OFF, and rooted , TWRP 3.0 still installed as recovery,
so I took a chance and used the FM radio fix from the VIPER ROM here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=65875666&highlight=fm+radio#post65875666

It did NOT get the HTC radio app working , but NextRadio does work, so it DID activate the chip.
I don't know yet if it had other impacts on my system that are detrimental.

Probable because its missing some additional drivers, or some extra protection in Verizon base, our rom is based on international base with Verizon files included, so we simple removed Verizon check from service and it immediately works.
I'm using this version of the app, and it works.

I tried that one, cant get it to install... I just get "App not installed"
It thinks its an update to an existing app, and I have tried removing any vestiges of any prior HTC fm app, but havent succeeded.
That happened to me. I had an older version installed first, and I couldn't install it over the old one. I couldn't uninstall the old version either. I installed this version on a fresh install of the ota rom. Then it worked.
