Modify HTC / XDA Keyboard Dictionary

Hello all,
I would like to know if it is possible to modify the HTC keyboards stock dictionary. Basically I would like to force it to type "the" every time I accidentally type "Tue".
I am currently using the XDA version of the keyboard, and know that it is possible to edit the user dictionary.
Thanks.

x3, im sick of it trying to shove "OS" onto my texts instead of "is"
I think if you type the word enough it starts to use the other one.
Alright, to get to the user dictionary, pull up the keyboard and look for the microphone icon, it should also have a gear under it on that same button. long press it and this brings up the touch input settings. Scroll down to user dictionary and add or remove any words you would like. The nice thing with that is now I never text ducking to people........
Hi, I would like to know how to access HTC dictionaries too. I am currently deodexing a Gingerbread 2.3.5 ROM to try an d find the needed apk and all.
I am using a ROM which doesn't support French dictionary, spell-checking, or prediction (obviously you might say if there is no dict...) and would like to add at least this dictionary.
Could anyone point me in the right direction ? I would be grateful !
Edit : HTC_IME.apk from stock ROM did the job for me. Check my post here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1521922

Htc_Ime on Cm6

Does anyone know how to get htc_ime running on cm6 and, more importantly, a way to use old user dictionaries (from sense, so afaik there's no direct way to do it ie titanium)
Look up jonasl mod

Miui tweaks and hints

Sooooo for anyone who had been wondering and maybe didn't know, here are a few things to tweak ravers miui.
Getting Google search on the search key instead of that pesky chinese sidekick thing.
1. Install Google search and titanium backup (if you haven't bought it you should) free version should work.
2. restart the phone
3. Press your search button and select Google search if it doesn't do it automatically, but it should.
More to come soon as I playwith it some more.
Hint: beware zapping this rom or adding any tweaks like that. Raver is still tweaking himself and miui is built differently from stock roms. They change internal files that miui may or may not need. It can cause instability.
More coming as I play with this rom....

Keyboard backup

Any keyboard app close to stock with swipe features that you can backup the dictionary?
Getting tired of re-saving words one by one every time I change ROM

It may not be that close to the stock keyboard, but the new Swiftkey4 (Playstore) just added a swype feature. It's also on sale right now.
Another possibility might be Keymonk (Playstore), although it has limited dictionaries for different languages. I think this one has a lot of potential, but I'm still waiting for support for my language.

You may use an external app to backup the dictionary, like Titanium Backup (if you have rooted your phone) or Carbon.

+1 Just back up your keyboard data using TiBu before flashing a new ROM. That will do the trick.
As said above, SwiftKey4! Amazing. With TiBu.

Can i delete pre downloaded words from my user dictionary?

I have some really annoying words that like
to pop up a lot by mistake when i text. They
make no sense and they aren't words that I
added to my user dictionary and they are not
present when i check the user dictionary. Is
there anyway to make my phone forget words
that it was already programed with?
