I have a quick question.
So its $50 down to pre-order, but what is the full price against which you are pre-ordering? And what is this about a $50 gift card as well.
Also, can you change your mind on the pre-order? The reason I ask is I will be adding this phone as a new ATT transfer number line onto an existing VZW family plan, so I don't know if BB will do that or if I have to call VZW directly.
I am thinking of stopping by on the way home and pre-ordering, but I wanted to clarify those two things before I go out of the way to BB.

the $50 down to pre-order secures your spot. You get a $50 giftcard, that is your preorder, which you can use towards the total cost of the phone. If you change your mind, you now have a $50 giftcard

My local (Southern,NH) BB knew nothing of a a pre-order, said they do stuff first come first served and he also, supposedly doesn't know anything about a release date.
EDIT: Given the info in this press release and the fact that he told me the VZW rep had been in that day, I can't believe the guy "didn't know anything" ... wtf ....

It's all over in the blog sites. I hope it wont be delayed as I did the $50 deposit, but it just might. Actually, for 2/14 being only 5 days away... it's looking more towards a delay as we dont have hardly any unboxing videos (except on from Engaget).

Nothing, I just don't like it. It's thicker than you'd think, impossible to get off and from the front it looks like it's only half a case. Other people seem to like them, I am just very picky when it comes to cases. And I buy a TON of them and never use them. Hence why I'm doing these giveaways. Gonna do the next one this weekend, and then maybe one a week for the next couple months till they are all gone lol. Every case I'm giving away is brand new and has only been on my phone once, for no more than 5 minutes.

Here's hoping I can win one. Not able to buy one myself, it's a long story involving a back injury...

I'm going to do the defender one differently. I think I'm going to give people a week to post, telling me why they need it, and then I'll take the best 10 posts and draw names from a hat. It'll give everyone a chance to win it. Still going to have a 50 thanks requirement though, and people must live in the states. No way am I spending $50 on a case and $20 to ship it to them in india lol.

Just A Rant

So, after receiving my Pebble Blue 16GB S3 on the 11th, I realized that I would much rather have the Marble White version. So I've been posting on Craigslist non-stop for a trade, so that I could avoid paying the $35 restocking fee. Well, yesterday was the last day that I could go to Verizon to switch the device with the restocking fee, and of course with my luck, all Verizon locations in the area are out of stock. They offered to order me one, but explained that they would have to send my device back, and I would be without a phone until the white one gets here.
Now, I know it's my own fault for waiting so damn long, but man. It sucks!

Return it and buy it from BestBuy. Just be sure to have Verizon put a note on your account to let you keep the unlimited data.
I personally hate BestBuy but they have the best return policy of any retail store.

I honestly would of traded with you! recently Ive been into the marble blue color but for some reason I want to cling onto the white..then again There are some nice cases out there that really go good with the blue which is why I would want to trade in the first place

It is a crazy popular phone. I suspect anything you do with it needs to be done with as much time padding as possible.
I read something about even the warranty places possibly not having enough stock to do replacements.

So I called Verizon and tried my hand at conning them into sending me a white refurb. They said that they would, but their redemption center has none in stock, and they were very limited on the blue. So I figure if I give it a month or two, I'll try back again and hopefully they'll have a few!

Samsung warranty

So I have a hard bricked infuse. Don't necessarily need to go into deets on that. However, I can exchange my infuse through warranty. But there is a glitch; I have a hair line crack in my screen. Maybe an inch in the top right corner. Warranty will cover it, but cost me $370. I was wondering if I could just bring the phone in locally to have that crack sealed (if possible at all. Heard of people doing it.) then send it into warranty without them knowing the difference? Then get my new phone without that hefty fee. 
Plan b is to send it into the jtag peeps. I've already tried the jig. That's a no go.
Heres a pic of the crack. Its that black line in the corner. Its hardly visible.

It wouldn't get cracked in the mail the envelope is hefty inside a box. Go with att its 300...jtag is only 40 and you can keep your sweet white skin on it

If Att ends up being your only option...it would be cheaper to buy a used good condition infuse on craigslist...for a good infuse they go for about $200-250

The thing is, I actually got them to get me the skyrocket over the infuse in exchange. The only thing holding me back is the cracked screen.
Im prolly gunna go with JTAG. People have been giving great reviews. And besides, the infuse community is great!

If the sealant is good quality and the application is flawless then no. But make sure before you pay that the fill is completely without flaws including air bubbles.

Because by now they are probably completely out of infuses...they were discontinued a loooooonnng time ago...its not uncommon for manufacturers/carriers to upgrade a phone on a warranty claim...especially when the device has been discontinued for a while...

Well they were going to give me the infuse, but since it was the second time sending it in I convinced them that maybe that model was a little buggy and the skyrocket would be better due to the similarities.

Well I just got my refurbished Infuse from the Warranty department 1 month ago...so that theory seems flawed....I called again because it's starting to do it's bull**** again and they said they'd still send me an Infuse.

But its been like this for many years see us men have a tendency to wander what the hell happened how it happened how to fix it and since we are so tired from downloading reading and rooting our androids , well we don't have an ounce of strength left to unbrick so we shut down instead of showing our wife's/ girlfriends/kids what to do so that when we find ourselves in this predicament they can serve as backup hardware to give us input.
