browser is good just rotations make it laggy but if you keep it normal it works good

i would say its stable i would rate it 90/100% just missing the drivers!!! no reboots no data drops

Is it a big improvement of EGB4, or can my laziness just skip this one?

That really doesn't mean anything. Screen on time is what people ussually judge how great their battery life is

Instagram works for me!

In my opinion, battery life is only good when you're not using the phone. With that said, I apparently had my phone on for about twelve hours before it died and that's with minimal use.
As for apps not working.... the XDA app and Gallery aren't working for me on the EB.

Where are you getting this from? All I have is eaglesblood 5 from the website that was released on July 1, 2012. I have it running with the 5.6 kernel but all I'm seeing is people with the eaglesblood 5.5! Where do you get it from?

No there is not a change log as 5.5 is beta nothing official yet
Sent from my LG-P999

Ive been using the GB Eaglesblood and that with whatever kernel it comes with has worked wonders when it comes to battery life. Running fauxs kernel now which has slightly worse but still great battery life but much better performance.

Yea all devices are different what works good for you might not work well for others. Best way to find out is to try it. And also not everyone's battery is in good shape so battery life might be different

xboarder is no frills almost boring utilitarian battery saver. I think best on the battery but for maybe an hour or less of battery time you could go eagleblood or some CM variation.
try out the EagleBlood or weapon (has lg camera). If the battery annoys you then go xboarder. Oh also charge your battery all the way before you install rom and wipe data, cache, dalvik, battery stats, format system. its hard to do b/c you want all these apps, but let you battery drain all the way then charge all the way...you should be good to go then. go nuts on apps.

I would stick with what you have for a short while longer.
UCLA 2.3.6 update just hit, so lots of ROM's will go through wipe-only updates and new ROM's will be released.
SkyICS is the flashiest, coolest ROM IMO that still manages to be stable and quick.
RedSonja is a bit more blah (aside from cartoons) with the theme and tricks/gimmicks/addons, but looks like it was just rebuilt for UCLA 2.3.6 update. So if you have to flash something, that is the one I'd try right now.
I'm digging NexusM0D 3.0 after trying a couple of different ICS-Themed ROM's.

2 much to Choose
I like the stability of SkyIce 7.4 Lots of eye candy. Right now using StokMod-2-UCLA3, hoping that ICS will be released soon. I Wipe about once a week just for the variety. Only Bricked the SkyRocket i727 once before the 30 days was up.
Wish I would have waited for the note.
Personally I prefer the Tmob roms. The ones here feel pretty much all the same to me too imo. There are some pretty interesting ones over there like Tuesday, Juggs and ParadoxII. Really nice themes and features too. You just need to flash our kernel or else your rotation is all outta wack. I find there is more action over there. Although the roms we do have might be less original they are pretty rock solid.(props to our devs) The only downside to the Tmob is you lose the LTE icon (still getting the speeds just no icon changing) which I couldnt care less

P990 aka o2x got pretty functional ics leak

Plus they got a few devs working to make it better
Hoping someone can port it over to p999 soon once they stabilize their build. Maybe our wait is almost over.

I find that bluetooth (media) works better on CM7 than it does on stock... It stutters a lot on stock and takes forever to connect.
it really doesnt matter at this point, nothing beats project butter, NOTHING!!!!!
If i have to sacrifice the smoothness from hacked JB to have a fully functional ICS, then so be it.....it is more important to have that eye candy than functions that i dont even use lol.

to be honest, the glitches presented in current JB builds arent that bad, battery drain, no camera, no chrome (ok this is bad), the only one i even care about is chrome, which is quite important to me actually.
But other than chrome, everything else is pretty much functional to me, sure they arent perfect but it sure is better than ics!
