Thank you for taking the time to contact HTC Technical Support, Jordan, in regards to source code for the HTC One X. I can definitely understand wanting to make sure you have everything you need to make your HTC One X truly yours.
Unfortunately, Jordan, we do not have any specific release date for the source code of the HTC One X. The only information that I have is that HTC will typically publish the kernel open source code for recently released devices as soon as possible on http://www.htcdev.com , usually within 90 to 120 days. As soon as the kernel source code is ready, it will be posted on our developer website (htcdev.com), under the 'downloads' section: http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads/ the Kernel open source code for recently released devices as soon as possible. I would recommend that you keep checking back on the HTC Dev website for new source codes.

Does anyone know about what day we are currently on anyways? I thought someone said we were right around 70. Haha don't know if I can handle another couple of weeks without MIUI (not using because of the multitouch issue)

The first day AT&T stores had the phone available for sale was Sunday May 6th. Preorders don't count.
I might not be the best at math but that doesn't sound like 70 to me. Anyway, I'd be willing to bet we're looking at august 6th for the source.

The Rogers hox is on day 80 ish
I would say August is fairly believable but sounds so far away. It would be within 90 for the AT&T version and 120 for Rogers then

What day did the rogers phone come out?
Sent from my HTC One X using xda premium
According to the Wikipedia article: "The HTC One X for North America has been carried in Canada since April 20, 2012 [23] and the United States since May 6, 2012 [24] by Rogers and AT&T respectively."

wasn't there one fellow in a thread created by gunnyman that said that he had a lawyer or something because of things between him and and att manager? and he said something like kernel source will be released weekend of july 4th (this weekend)? or did we all establish that info as not credible?
I think we all just agreed to take it as a rumor and with a grain of salt. No offense to the person who posted it, but it isn't difficult for any poster to make that claim. If it comes this weekend, we will all be thrilled. If not though, we continue the waiting game.

Well check “pricing” off the list of things we wanted confirmed for the HTC Thunderbolt. Best Buy plans on selling the device for $249 on new 2-year contract, a price we had heard before, but are seeing officially for the first time in next week’s ad. Oh, and a full price of $749 is also confirmed. Yikes.

good info but i think most people here want to know release date and if there will be an up charge for 4g service more than anything else.
if its going to be 249 and both bestbuy and verizon, it'll come down to who gives me new every 2 discount
I'm really disappointed with the $749 price tag. Hopefully Verizon offers it cheaper online.
This supports the 14th because the flyer doesn't say coming soon

Exactly.
Let's do some thinking. DroidLife says that this Best Buy ad is due for the week of the 20. Although we don't see a February 20th date on the ad (or at least I didn't) let's presume that it IS the Best Buy ad for the 20th for a second. Okay, notice how the ad DIDN'T mention anything about preorder; this confirms that the Thunderbolt will already released and therefore ensures a February 14th or 17th launch at Best Best even if Verizon and other third party vendors don't sell the phone on those dates for whatever reason.

I just wondering is there a solid date when this phone hits the US, I hear the 8th but that might just be rumor, have T-Mobile or HTC announced anyhing THX.
Several sources have confirmed it will be released on June 8th. In fact, T-Mobile's leaked roadmap says it will be released on that day.
Hey,
Well not to be a **** but I am a proud owner of one already as one of the first few in the world (no its not a review unit):-D
But American Release date on t-mo is June 15th and in Walmart on June 12th

Does anyone know when the HTC One X will be released for AT&T? Are the rumors for the chip production delay true??
Edit: May 6th is the confirmed date.
28nm high power processes are definitely down. The low power process may not be, we're not sure.
I thought AT&T is getting One X not XL...
I thought they were all the same phones anyway. Aside from the chip and the Storage.
I think we're expecting a summer release, not april.

Didn't HTC originally announce that this phone would be on sale within 60 days (from when they announced it) ?
Just to help clear up any confusion for anyone who didn't know this already,
The One X is the quad core version. The quad core processor is incompatible with LTE (being released as an ATT exclusive means that att will likely only carry the XL)
The One XL has the dual core because the dual core processor IS compatible with LTE . Also, from what I've heard, the dual core might actually be a better processor than the quad core anyway.
I think you guys already knew most of that though
@shorty
yes, you are correct. The projected window is within 60 days of announcement.
The phone has already passed through FCC, it's on it's way.
cant decide is i should switch to att. sprint 3g service is eh, sad that sprints lte rollout doesnt include los angeles ;(...... decisions decisions
I am really hoping a release date is announced soon. I went out and got a skyrocket under upgrade and now I want to return it (within my 30 days) so that I can pick up this phone. It all depends on the release date though. If it ends up being summer then I'm not gonna wait that long.
A general estimate is about late April to early May for the release.
My guess is since the rest of the word starts to sell these on April 5th and Sprint/HTC is holding an even April 4th... we will hear about a release in the next week or two about when AT&T will release it.
april 12th http://www.releasedates.co/product/htc-edge-release-date
I'd take that sites info with a grain of salt most definitely. I don't see it being legit. I hope so though.
It's definitely not legit. Look at how much storage it says it has. 32GB? Now, we know the AT&T version will only have 16GB of storage.

You're right. It will have only 16GB, like the Rogers unit, which is what I'm waiting for. No announcement yet, and I'm checking every day.

Other than that there's no way in God's name that I'm waiting until freaking May for a phone. Galaxy S II Skyrocket HD should be out by then and I'd pick that up before that.

The rumor I read somewhere on one of the tech blogs, that the expected release on AT&T was between mid April and mid May.

The way I see it, be a release date not announced by mid-April, we're going to have a problem.

Idunno though, phones are out usually a month or so after being approved by the FCC, and our XL has been approved for awhile now, since beginning of march
Anybody got the update from AT&T yet? Weird thing is I was in a store last Thursday or Friday and for ****s and giggles I tried to update their display unit and what do you know it downloaded the update. Anybody else get lucky yet?

Move to Q&A.
Did you check the version after the update it may have been the last update and they just had not done the display models in the store?
Moderating from my One Xl
I didn't stick around for the entire update. It was over 600mb so I assumed it was the jelly bean. I've had my phone since September October of last year with no update. When was there an update recently?

There wasn't one "recently". I think Cadro is thinking the OTA you downloaded on the display model was for 2.20 which was released something like August. At least that was my thought. Especially for a store model, its possible that it was never updated.
maybe at&t corporate stores got a special early ota push
I don't have jelly bean yet. Im on 4.0.4,,, 2.20. I got that up date around August. The jelly bean update should be out soon, being the Rogers (Canada) just got the jelly bean update OTA. The US and Canada Htc one X have the same internals. Its just a matter of At&t and Htc finishing up. Most likely At&t takeing forever.. Ill post here if I ever get the update.

I used to compliment HTC about their timely updates and recommended this phone to many friends after they had bad Samsung experiences (myself included)...but the One X is starting to tarnish that view for me. First it was end of 2012...then end of December....then beginning of January...sigh.
I don't mean to blame HTC solely...or blame AT&T solely as I'm sure both are responsible. But the sad part is...even after this update the One X will be on 4.1.1....there's still 4.2 and 4.2.1 out there and 4.2.x brings plenty of noticeable improvements to the OS. 4.2.1 is kind of important if you like the month of December.
Is there any company left that is going to actually work at pleasing their customers with timely updates that fix security holes and bug issues? (Of course I say this as I hold a Galaxy Nexus in my hand....I just feel bad for my wife and her One X )
The latest Android is ALWAYS reserved for a brand new release phone. Exclusiveness for months has always been given.
No old phones get updates to the latest until months later. Samsung is not shipping 4.2 to GS3 and wont for months.
I remember my old Nexus One did not get the later updates until after other flagships sported it for 2-3 months.
End of 2012 is end of December 2012 and HTC shipped JB for One XL in early December. Any delays after that is 100% AT&T.
HTC shipped JB several weeks behind schedule but delivered in general in a fairly timely manner.

Don't get me wrong - I understand the company's philosophy on it and will concede that AT&T is most likely the hold up. I guess in my mind I didn't hold the international One X and US/Canada One X in the same category since they have different processors. But you're right....certain regions of the world did get JB by the end of 2012.
It's an odd switch for Samsung to release the JB update earlier to the SGS3 than HTC. Especially since the SGS 3 came out almost a month after the One X. All my point was = traditionally HTC has a good reputation of getting updates out before other manufacturers. Other manufacturers (in my opinion Samsung) have not had such a good reputation on updates. Just sad to see them start to loose that edge they used to have.
I'll be looking out for it as well. I know my wife's One X has some problems that I'm hoping will be fixed in the JB update.
HTC has bowed down to att for everything about this phone. They have failed their consumers.

I am not talking about the international one x. I am talking about one xl's which are the same phone as AT&T one x.
Evita phones which are identicle to AT&T one x got jb in early December.
Every floor model I've looked at was either 1.73 or 1.85 so 100% chance it was the 2.20 update
