Pricing Confirmed by Best Buy Flyer, Don't Get Your Hopes Up

http://www.droid-life.com/2011/02/11/confirmed-htc-thunderbolt-will-be-249-on-2-year-contract/
Well check “pricing” off the list of things we wanted confirmed for the HTC Thunderbolt. Best Buy plans on selling the device for $249 on new 2-year contract, a price we had heard before, but are seeing officially for the first time in next week’s ad. Oh, and a full price of $749 is also confirmed. Yikes.

good info but i think most people here want to know release date and if there will be an up charge for 4g service more than anything else.
if its going to be 249 and both bestbuy and verizon, it'll come down to who gives me new every 2 discount
I'm really disappointed with the $749 price tag. Hopefully Verizon offers it cheaper online.
This supports the 14th because the flyer doesn't say coming soon

Exactly.
Let's do some thinking. DroidLife says that this Best Buy ad is due for the week of the 20. Although we don't see a February 20th date on the ad (or at least I didn't) let's presume that it IS the Best Buy ad for the 20th for a second. Okay, notice how the ad DIDN'T mention anything about preorder; this confirms that the Thunderbolt will already released and therefore ensures a February 14th or 17th launch at Best Best even if Verizon and other third party vendors don't sell the phone on those dates for whatever reason.

You know what makes this worse? They are missing half the ad and probably the release date when they took this

Verizon Android Phones - Coming Soon?

Aside from the HTC Incredible 2 and the Samsung Droid Charge coming out tomorrow, are there any other phones that will be released within the next week or 2? I'm asking because I have until the 8th of May to exchange my current Thunderbolt phone for something else through Best Buy Mobile. Was planning to pick between the 2 tomorrow but of anything else better comes out by the 8th i'd like to wait on it.
Not anything besides those two coming out before the 8th as far as I know. Except for that new Casio android phone.

Galaxy S III delayed 1 week!!

Direct from Samsung:
Due to unprecedented global demand for the highly anticipated Samsung GALAXY S III, with more than 9 million carrier pre-orders to date, the date of availability for purchase of this device in Canada, is now June 27th. In advance of the GALAXY S III availability date, most carriers and retailers are offering customers the chance to register on-line for updates, and some partners are offering their customers the option to pre-order the Galaxy S III. We expect any shortages to be short lived as we ramp up production to meet this unprecedented global demand.

Damn. I was hoping to get mine before I left for a week's vacation on the 24th."

Oh, this might be one of the best things I have read all day. Well done! Thanks for sharing it!
As for the GS III.. Meh. Glad I don't really want one.
Here's an opportunity for Rogers to release ICS for the S2 *nudge nudge*, honestly thoughI just feel that this is to drum up more hype in the S3....
Pee ordered mine today from att. Still showing on time by the 21St. Guess Canada has to wait.

ATT delayed a week also.
It's over in the ATT GSIII thread.
Same thing that Target is emailing their customers.

to me
Thank you for shopping with Sams Club!
We were just notified by AT&T that they have moved the nationwide launch of the Samsung Galaxy S III 4G LTE phone to June 28th.
There is nothing that you need to do. We’ve reserved your phone and will begin shipping all approved orders the moment we receive the devices. We just wanted to make sure you had the most up-to-date information.
Thanks again for shopping with us. We appreciate your business.
Sincerely,
Your Friends at Sams Club

My bro gets his next week, funny how they name the LTE devices close to each other, SAMSUNG-SGH-I747. Kinda jelly but im still rockin my Skyrocket and don't really see the use for the upgrade unless of course i want the latest of everything. If that was the case I would've put it all on my PC
I just met a bloke who is staying in the same hostel as me and works for HTC. He let me use his one s and I have to say the phone looks and feels so much nicer. A few drinks later into the night he said he'd try to grab me one of the testers from his office for free. Here's hoping. I may trade for the GSIII. I will greatly miss the skyrocket community though, I can't imagine it getting any better than you guys.

lol... wtf?
I'm in the USA (Austin, TX) and my ATT SIII shipped yesterday and is due to arrive tomorrow (Thursday the 21st).
Tracking info attached.
The crazy thing is I cancelled the order and bought a One-X instead.
MISTAKE!
Unless there is something really stupid about the SIII, I'm returning the One-X. The buttons are driving me mad and it is SLOWER to browse web-forums heavily laden with gif's, than my Skyrocket was.
The screen is suuuuper sweeet though.
anyone know what the cost will be for the GSIII?

Nothing new here

Thank you for taking the time to contact HTC Technical Support, Jordan, in regards to source code for the HTC One X. I can definitely understand wanting to make sure you have everything you need to make your HTC One X truly yours.
Unfortunately, Jordan, we do not have any specific release date for the source code of the HTC One X. The only information that I have is that HTC will typically publish the kernel open source code for recently released devices as soon as possible on http://www.htcdev.com , usually within 90 to 120 days. As soon as the kernel source code is ready, it will be posted on our developer website (htcdev.com), under the 'downloads' section: http://www.htcdev.com/devcenter/downloads/ the Kernel open source code for recently released devices as soon as possible. I would recommend that you keep checking back on the HTC Dev website for new source codes.

Does anyone know about what day we are currently on anyways? I thought someone said we were right around 70. Haha don't know if I can handle another couple of weeks without MIUI (not using because of the multitouch issue)
Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2
The first day AT&T stores had the phone available for sale was Sunday May 6th. Preorders don't count.
I might not be the best at math but that doesn't sound like 70 to me. Anyway, I'd be willing to bet we're looking at august 6th for the source.

The Rogers hox is on day 80 ish
I would say August is fairly believable but sounds so far away. It would be within 90 for the AT&T version and 120 for Rogers then

According to the Wikipedia article: "The HTC One X for North America has been carried in Canada since April 20, 2012 [23] and the United States since May 6, 2012 [24] by Rogers and AT&T respectively."

wasn't there one fellow in a thread created by gunnyman that said that he had a lawyer or something because of things between him and and att manager? and he said something like kernel source will be released weekend of july 4th (this weekend)? or did we all establish that info as not credible?
I think we all just agreed to take it as a rumor and with a grain of salt. No offense to the person who posted it, but it isn't difficult for any poster to make that claim. If it comes this weekend, we will all be thrilled. If not though, we continue the waiting game.

ZeroLemon LG Nexus 4 8400mAh Battery

As I was enviously browsing the selection of ZeroLemon batteries for the Galaxy Nexus, GS3 and Note 2 I came across this page:
http://www.amazon.com/ZeroLemon-Nex...=1366517865&sr=1-4&keywords=zerolemon+nexus+4
Does anyone have any information on this? A release date or something? I'll shoot a message to ZeroLemon to inquire about it and reply with their answer. This would be a freaking god send for us N4 users!
There is a older thread about these. The other product shows a late April release date. Hopefully we hear something soon

I should have used the search bar, silly me!
For any Canadian users like me, I just emailed the good people of ZeroLemmon asking about sales in Amazon.ca since Amazon.com won't ship to Canada. This was part of the automated response:
"International Shipping Outside USA
We are working on our international shipping at the moment. For European clients, these will be available on Amazon.co.uk by early April 2013. For Canadian clients, this will be available on Amazon.ca by early May 2013.
For customers of other regions, please visit comgateway/shipito/myus for International Shipping."
I'll post their actual response when it gets to me, maybe they'll have more details, but May 2013 is pretty good news.
That is some crazy amount of capacity! I think if we had it our phone would probably last upto 3-4 days max. Lol
What I'd really want is a internal battery upgrade.
