Hi,
I have installed chrome on my htc desire z with an ICS rom based on CM9 (mimicry 1.1.2).
When I tap on any check box, e.g. the search box on google.com, the virtual keyboard doesn't show up.
This issue doesn't affect the omnibar.
Are there other people who happen the same issue?
I have the same issue on my Epic 4G running CM9. Anyone have a solution? I'm using SwiftKey 3.
No solution or workaround for this?

Can anyone access Chrome Beta for Android (4.0) from the market? I'm running Kindle Zone, but it's not showing up. If anyone has downloaded it, can you post a link?
thanks much!

On both my htc desire and kindle fire, it doesn't work though, showing a blank white screen when pages load. I think it is due to lack of ha on both ics builds.
thank you so much! I'll give it a try!
it works for me!
edit, no it doesn't. I see program and all the settings and everything, but it doesn't display pages.

F*ck it. Worth a shot. Downloading now.
EDIT: No dice.
Same here. No Chrome on ICS.
Cant seem to get it work on cm7 either...
blank screen for me too. running kang 4.0.3 CM9 build that was downloaded yesterday.
The problem is HWA (as per my post in the ICS dev thread):
"EUREKA EUREKA, although many others have argued this viciously, full HWA is the problem for Chrome not working. My proof? The HTC Desire just received an ICS build with full HWA tonight, and suddenly Chrome is working. So now we know the problem, on to the solution!!"
got it running on EOS ics but looks like no flash support atm :-( or is it just me....

someone worked in a chrome kindle Fire with CM9?
Yeah as far as I know it isn't working due to hardware acceleration, because my friend has an Incredible rooted running a ported ICS (no hardware acceleration), and he has the same blank page issue as we do on the KF. Hopefully we'll get HA soon...
Hello everyone! I am relatively new to the android world and have just started flashing roms and doing all that makes android superior to all other platforms. I have encountered a problem several times now. When flashing a ics themed rom, I get two battery bars(see attached JPEG). This is really bugging me and would like to just have one battery bar(keep the top one). Does anyone know how to fix this issue? Thanks to anyone in advance.

Hi this is my first time using ICS and I am finding it hard to get used to the keyboard.
I was wondering what keyboard everyone uses/recommends on their One S
Thanks

I use stock. I'm coming from the Glacier so its been difficult getting used to the larger screen. But the swipe function in stock helps a great deal.

Hey,
I'm using now SwiftKey 3 ... before it was released I'd prefered Smart Keyboard Pro ... because I cannont handle Keyboards without a little bit of space between the buttons.
regards,
mmry
Thanks I will have a look and try those, I dont see the point of some of the keys like the arrows at the bottom it just seems too crowded for me
It's a toss up between the new swift keyboard and slideit for me... Also Used A. I. Keyboard with no problems, but for sure tons of options
STOCK AOSP ICS keyboard is the best! Get it in the market if you are using sense rom.

Hello,
Is anyone has the same problem ? I One S has been updated (OTA) 2 days ago to Jelly Bean.... All is working fine but the stock keyboard seems to have a seriously lag when I use SMS, Facebook or Messenger....
It's very annoying cause I send a lot of sms and the lag is very important.... I tried to close background process, desactivated some services also...But it's the same....
Thanks You very much,
Mike

I seem to have exactly the same problem, very annoying. Perhaps it needs a couple of days to "sit in"?
buy swiftkey 3 and never look back, you won't regret it
Same issue here, very annoing! Energy save mode on or off doesn't matter...
Don't have the faster experience with jellybean yet.....

Same here, very laggy keyboard.
Overall, JB has slowed down my HTC one S.
Battery life seems also on the worse side, regardless the state of the "eco mode".
Sad.
Flash the stock jellybean keyboard. You'll find it if you go to the themes and apps page. Its really bloody accurate and its free. I think it's great and it doesn't lag at all

My stock keyboard never had any problem. Try clear cache and data. It might help.
However, SwiftKey is the best keyboard out there. You might want to consider it, and it currently on sale =)

Did you ever find a fix to this?
It's doing my head in so badly! I want to go back to the software before
Swiftkey helped marginally but the lag is still there, which is a pain as Im on whatsapp all the time.

Absolutely no lags with Swiftkey here! Did you hard reset after upgrading?

Nope as I didn't want to delete any of my applications or data. Unless there is a way around this?
Anyone?
Hi,
Did you ever find out what was causing this issue?
I've got the same lag issue on my new tablet.
Thanks!
I suggest to try the Xperia z keyboard... Look for it in this forum, I think is the best, and supports swift typing, double language, and t9 style typing!

I had this app on my old GS3 running HyperDrive if I recall correctly. I just recently installed CM 10.1.3 and cannot find the app in the Play Store or anywhere else. Does anyone have the apk by chance or can point me in the direction to finding it? Google has failed me.
Anyone? I really miss the app

Sorry, the answer is no. There are variants out there, but the Samsung file is tied to the touch wiz interface. If you want it back, try a TouchWiz rom like hyperdrive rom, my daily driver. It is based off of 4.1.2 but very stable and gives you just about every feature you could want.

Gotcha. Thanks for the reply. I had hyperdrive previously but went back to CM for a change of pace. Any app that's similar that will sync with Facebook for birthdays and whatnot? Or any other cool features such as custom colors or what have you?

I don't think there is anything that quite compares to S-Planner, but aCalendar in the play store is not bad
