"Fastboot flash boot boot.img" make sure u type boot twice.
Do factory reset/wipe data and wipe cache. Flash rom. Reboot into bootloader. Fastboot flash boot boot.img. reboot phone. Then reboot back into recovery to flash gapps. Should work "

so did you already flash the (right) boot.img via fastboot?

If you haven't, extract the boot.img file from the .zip and place it where you have adb/fastboot (Android SDK). Then boot into bootloader, go into Fastboot, plug phone in for "Fastboot USB" then type the following in command prompt and reboot.
fastboot flash boot boot.img

ive tried all that boot.img from zip even another one with the download no luck just stuck on boot with that cm9 rom on loop thanks for your help though guys any other suggestions other then just shooting myself in the head??lol

Try flashing Paranoid/AOKP and then flashing back to CM9.

flash older cm9 rom?
this is my first attempt of any ROM for this phone starting with cm9 alpha 13 does anyone recomend maybe installing a older alpha?? maybe alpha 10 cm9?? idk

Try flashing the latest alpha 14. Maybe you got a bad download of alpha 13.

did you solve your problem?
if not & you're not quite shure about flashing the boot.img properly with fastboot I set up a Tutorial yesterday:
[Tutorial] How to flash a new boot.img via Fastboot
perhaps this might help you if the above one didn't fix your problems:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1667929

I had the same problem. But this worked for me.
wipe all -> flash cm9 14 -> wipe all -> flash gapps -> wipe all -> fastboot flash boot boot.img ( i used the touchfix one ).
then i got in.. but took some time first load. But now i cant get wifi to work and cant see simcontacts. Drives me nuts.
Just reflashed all with no luck.

I need a quick answer guys..

I just helped a buddy (this never happened before) and his mytouch is rooted. He upgraded his SPL to Haykuro's and then, through fastboot, he flashed Amon_Ra's 1.2.2 recovery image. Now, we can't get it past the mytouch screen, but can get into fastboot. Any ideas?
Try flashing another rom?
If you can get into fastboot, you can send a new image to the phone.
I don't recall the exact commands, but if you're in fastboot, you're still good.

Great man...does anyone know the commands?
Fastboot the recovery image, and then from the recovery, you can flash the new rom.

the recovery image is there. We cant into to recovery to apply the rom.
Get yourself the proper recovery.img for that phone. Not sure what it is, but a quick search will find it. Search for 'mytouch recovery' or 'mt3g recovery'.
Then with the recovery image in your SDK tools folder, run:
Code:
fastboot boot recovery.img
That should at least get you to a point where you can flash a new ROM and commit the proper recovery image to flash using adb commands.
I can't hold your hand through the whole thing, I don't have that phone, but I've been in your situation before.
Ok we tried it, now it says... FAILED(remote: partition does not exist!)
anyone have an idea?
Try to erase Cache
fastboot erase cache
fastboot erase recovery
then flash recovery:
fastboot flash recovery recoveryxxxxxx***.img (***I'm not sure of the version you use...)

Yeah that's exactl what we did and it worked.
The thing is, we erased the recovvery image and reinstalled it, but now again, it won't go into recovery. I have a feeling he downloaded the wrong Amos_Ra recovery. Probably one for the 32a.

[SOLVED] Plz help: my phone can't boot now

Dear all, I need your help ASAP.
My phone (rooted) doesn't boot now, adb does not recognizes, fastboot still ok. And I don't know what to do.
Recently I rooted my Desire S and succeeded with the stock ROM. After a coupe of days I dicided to flash Endymion, from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1310845
I downloaded Endymion 3.1 into SD, then used Rom Manager to flash it. But then it was not be able to reboot (stucked on splash screen).
After that I rebooted into recovery (4EXT) and formated system, data, cache, boot and retried to install Endymion 3.1.
But then it became worse, now I can't use adb (always says: device not found), normal boots always stucks at splash screen (with green "HTC"). No hard button can be used, I need to reboot by take off the battery, then put it back on.
fastboot still seems working fine if I reboot to fastboot mode, but when I try "fastboot erase ...", I get "remote: not allowed". But other commands (fastboot flash...) still ok.
4EXT recovery is also still working.
Please help me to install some ROM at least. A lot of thanks.
Not quite sure, but could it be a faulty eMMC chip? Since you did mention you pulled out the battery.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1314629
I did have a similar problem before myself.
So can you get into the boot loader? I'm assuming so since u got into fast boot. I would try flashing an update.zip through there, such as a stock from containing recovery.img,system.img...etc.

Thank you for replies.
@microlah: I think my problem is not eMMC because I did not get those errors.
@stumpyz9: Before trying to flash Endymion 3.1, I made a backup of the rooted Sense 3.0 through Rom Manager -> a collection of *.img files.
I have tried to boot into fastboot, and executed these commands:
fastboot erase boot -> Error: remote not allowed
fastboot erase recovery -> Error: remote not allowed
fastboot flash system system.img -> OK
fastboot flash boot boot.img -> OK
fastboot flash userdata data.img -> OK
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img -> OK
but after this, the phone still does not boot normally.
Please tell me if I did something wrong or not. I dont know how to make update.zip from *.img files, and dont know where to get and choose the right stock rom for my phone.

Are you S-OFF or htcdev unlocked ? If you're still S-on you have to manually flash boot.img with fastboot to get Endymion or others custom roms working.

Are you on hboot 2.00.002? If yes, did you flash the boot.img from Endymion via fastboot??
Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk
I used htcdev to unlock, it's still S-ON and HBOOT 2.00.002.
I did not flash boot.img of Endymion. Can I do that with "fastboot flash..." ?
Does it matter if "fastboot erase boot" makes error? (as I posted above)
Could you give me instructions step-by-step what I need to do, thank you.

Please help us... how correctly flash Endymion ROM via fastboost..

For both of you, here's the procedure. First, flash the ROM normally. Then, enter fastboot mode and flash the boot.img that came in the ZIP of your ROM.

I can't flash a custom rom

I am using TWRP recovery, and I have tried flashing Miui and Cyanogen mod, however for both of them I am stuck at the boot logo for ever.
I factory reset the phone, wiped the cache and did everything I was supposed to do. For both of them this is the first boot, and it is not working.
Try flashing your boot.img
Sent from my HTC One XL using Tapatalk 2
I'm thinking you have hboot ver 1.14.
Flash your boot.img.
Steps:
download rom
extract boot.img
place boot.img in fastboot folder
place rom .zip on sd card
clean flash the .zip
boot to fastboot
connect to pc
type "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
/dance
Before deciding to flash anything, you really need to watch this informative video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?hl=en&...ture=player_embedded&v=wwleOote5M0&nomobile=1

help !!

hello i have a big trouble with my htc one s, is a S4 variant and i try to boot normally but is always boot on the cwm 5.8! i reboot and is return to cwm! help me i try everything
Sounds like no ROM
From the sounds of it, it doesn't seem like you have a ROM installed.
A few things to remember when flashing new ROM's:
-Try not to ever flash dirty* (without wiping data, cache, dalvic cache, and system)
-ONLY wipe the system if you have another ROM loaded onto the internal SD card and ready to flash
-Make sure said ROM is COMPATIBLE with your phone. (Device model, in our case HBOOT [2.15, 2.16 have their differences]
-Try to update to the latest Recovery when flashing, unless stated otherwise in the ROM's OP. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT YOU NEED.
There is plenty more, but for your issue these may help.
Update your recovery through FASTBOOT and then use the MOUNT option to mount your SD card and add a new [compatible] ROM and try to flash it. (and if it has GAPPs, flash that AFTER you flash the ROM)
i dont flash anyrom, i just flash the recovery and write this command line "fastboot flash boot recovery*.img" (just a cut of the .img of the recovery) and after that, is allways reboot in recovery mode

Code:
fastboot flash boot recovery.img
flashes recovery to boot sector. That's why your device boots into recovery every time. You should use
Code:
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
to flash recovey correctly, unzip boot.img from your rom's zip and flash it with
Code:
fastboot flash boot boot.img
to be able to boot into your rom

LOLL

Accidentally delete everything using TWRP in "wipe"

Hey,
first of all i KNOW there is a subject with nearly the exact same topic, and i followed the directions but somethng doesn't work.
I still have TWRP on the phone, and when im in bootloader mode and run "fastboot devices" i see the result.
but i can't seem to ADB push or anything else (maybe im missing some commands?)
so i used the NRT root kit and i use the "fastboot flash" function and install the .img file - the software says my device is identified and it installs the system.img file (found on the "image-hammerhead-mra58k" zip), but then the device boots to TWRP and still can't boot to the system itself.
help please!
Sideload a factory rom and u will be fine. U can do it in the advanced portion of TWRP, but u need a pc, or ur hit

Sounds to me like you're using adb commands in fastboot.
Boot into bootloader (not recovery)
Type fastboot devices
It should return showing your device
Then you need to make sure you have stock img's downloaded and completely extracted so you have all the img files in the folder you're running fastboot from (rename the radio to simply radio.img)
Then type
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash system system.img
fastboot flash radio radio.img
Then boot back into recovery and wipe cache and dvalik for just in case fun
Then reboot system and wait
