Will US Cellular be added to this section when it is released? - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S III

Hoping that US Cellular GS3 can be added to this section when it is released. Does anyone know if there are plans to add it?

Maybe a developer section if there is demand, but they really should tho

I'd be interested in one too.

I'd be interested in a multi carrier sub thread for development on stuff that is designed to work on more than one carriers sgs3

Would love this... my Gs3 from uscc is on the way.

GS3 in Europe are getting Jelly Bean now!

Just searched Google for S3 Jelly Bean as always, and it seems like phones in Europe are getting their updates now.
Just to share.
http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/24/jelly-bean-ota-update-for-samsung-galaxy-s-iii/
From the above link
----------------------------
The long-awaited roll-out appears to have commenced, with lucky GS III owners in Poland being among the first to get an early official taste of Android 4.1.1. If you hadn't heard, the update will bring a host of subtle yet powerful improvements, including Google Now for anticipating search queries, smooth UI improvements from Project Butter, as well as some Samsung extras already seen on the Galaxy Note II, such as a resizable Pop-up play screen. Hopefully this means the update will soon be sent on its merry way to GS IIIs in other parts of the Old World, and maybe at some point -- dare we suggest it -- those in the US too.
Yea but us Verizon customers will get it last.

This! Verizon has the best coverage, but they are the slowest to update!

That's the only thing I dislike about Verizon. That and locking down bootloaders. but with the great devs we have here, we will have JB Touchwiz months before Verizon releases it

Since we are on the subject, when the Galaxy Note 2 is released on Verizon, wouldn't devs be able to base JB touchwiz ROMs off of the Galaxy Note 2 JB base? I know the Note will have that S Pen thing but I'm sure that's removable

Does anyone know what carrier is getting this jb update?
Edit. Nevermind. I read Portland. But it says Poland. Haha!

When I worked at Verizon we used to test software deeply and daily. Verizon is very picky and minimizes as many big as possible. Honestly, the updates are never perfect as the manufacturer will read the reports we sent in and approve what bugs are left based on time frame for release, if the manufacturer says release it, then Verizon hq gives the yay on it. These oems sometimes allow huge bugs to get out there. (Eh hem, moto before google) I think the other carriers may not test as hard core as vzw. I miss that job.

Yes and thats exactly what I suspect will happen...The only way were getting a non-leaked TW JB rom in a timely fashion, will be from the Note2.

[Q] Sprint to Verizon?

I've seen some threads that are close, but I wanted to know if I can flash my GS3 from Sprint for use on the Verizon network? I'm not trying anything shady, it's just that Sprint's network has me about at my end, and I was given a demo S3, and man, it's not even close.
So, I have an S3, with no outstanding contract from Sprint, can I use it with a new account on Verizon? Just trying to avoid ending up with a Sprint GS3...
Thanks

Don't worry about it. Sell the sprint one and use that money to buy you a brand new s3 or better. S3 will be free for black Friday. If you want to sell the s3 its going for about 300-400 in perfect shape. 200+ used.

One thing I will tell you is that moving to verizon is the best decision you will ever make. Whatever money you lose by selling the sprint gs3 and getting the verizon one is sooooooo worth it. Words cannot describe. I was a Sprint customer for 10 yrs...

+1 I hated Sprint. Cancelled within months. Went to Verizon and couldn't be happier.

I just recently opened a Verizon account and got 2 GS3s and waiting until my wife's contract to be up on 11/25 to finally get off this garbage Sprint network. My line is down to a $50 ETF, I'm paying it because I am not willing to stay on any longer on this snail pace 3G and non existent 4G Wimax/4G LTE in my area. Now I'm on Verizon and they have 4G LTE everywhere!
I had Verizon. Hated them. Ive had all 4 major carriers and sprint is still my favorite.

Agreed.

Premium Suite?

I keep reading articles about this. Supposed to be launching in the UK very soon. Is it a Mod or a Rom or what? It has multi window and a bunch of other cool features. How can we go about getting it?
It's an official Samsung release. We should be getting out soon.
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
It is actually 4.1.2.

So is it something that could be leaked and given to us by the devs here?

I highly suspect so. I wonder if it's for the quad-core versions only.

As soon it leaks for one of the US carriers dev will beging doing their work
iSheep... iSheep... Meowww that's Apple VZW GSIII
I hate to think about what the carrier's bloatware is going to be looking like at this point. Especially with what my battery life being short as it is (unless its rooted and debloated.

USA s4 buyers?

with all due respect as i browse the s4 forums i see this phone will be super popular with our friends overseas. i guess the question i have is what US developers and US xda members will be buying this phone? im just concerned on how decent development will be for the US based variants?
Us development is going to be good. The us SGs3 Roms were interchangeable with just small things fixed like modems, etc.
It'll most likely be the same with the sgs4 but even better as tons of countries in Europe will have the Us version as well.

I have a lot of friends pumped for this phone, both techies and casuals alike. Don't know what that says about the general populace though.

well considering i just bought a spiegen case and lcd protector weeks ahead of the preorder you can tell im getting one. i guess worse comes to worse and development lacks i could always sell it and get the htc one.
Okay, now how is development going to be better than on the HTC one lol. More people will have a sgs4. Its like 5 to 1 in sales I think. Pre orders are 4 times more than the sgs3 in certain parts of the UK from reports.

there is a lot of development going on in the htc one forums. the only reason i didn't get one was because of the non removable battery.

There's a lot of development because it came out.
What I'm saying that the SGS4 will have a equal amount of development but most likely greater since for every HTC One there will be 3 or 4 SGS4s.
I live in the U.S. and my upgrade comes available on the same day AT&T starts taking pre orders. Coincidence? I think not...

Same here. I decided to add my parents onto my line and use their upgrades. Now I get a upgrade every single year. They don't like smartphones and prefer simple flip phones.
