Downloaded this yesterday and can't stop playing....it's pretty freaking awesome.

its right there man, on the market.
it's definitely one of the best xperia play-optimized games and one of the best android games on the market overall.
I love the rpg aspect and the rampant action/platforming....very fun
I have yet to try multiplayer so if you grab it post your username!

I bought it yesterday. I have'nt had chance to play it yet. Looks good though!

I can't find it too on my list.. Found it thru searching.. My niece and nephew will like this for sure..

I think it's one of the most impressive android games ever

This game is addicting! It kinda vaguely reminds me of the original mario bros, or the battle mini game on Super Mario Bros 3 as some might remember it as.
My openfeint name is the same as on here..except with a 2 on the end..

I'm loving it too, just like their guerilla bob before..
I love the ninja kitty and the cyclops ability, I dont like the frog and the monkey..

I just bought it and it looks stunning and is certainly addictive!
Is there a way to stick with a character? i'm finding it quite hard or is it just because i'm new?!
Also, seeing as its cross platform, us Play owners must destroy those pesky iphone owners! I love Angry Mob games

It's sad how my ipod can get the game for 0.99 while I have to pay 2.99 for the android version
Anyway, I could go forever using cyclops alone.. Love the bird too...
But for some reason I hate it when my character turns into the bull.. Even though it's the last character..

We should start an openfeint thread, where people can post there usernames. If we add eachother it will be easer for people to play other people with xperia plays online

It just happens for some reason..Angry Birds is free on Android but .99 on iPhone.
I also suspect that this game would be INSANE hard on touch controls, hence the price reduction?

Is it cross platform? It seems like you can only play local WI fi....and my girlfriend won't play me haha

Lvl 50 is the max level, but you can continue playing to upgrade your characters and to add life..
hopefully they will update this game to add new map.

Good Platformers for Xperia Play ?

I've some such as Stardash, INC, Cordy, Roboto and they need to be fed. I have emulators as well.
I was wodering if there were anymore apart from those.
Have to say platformerts are lacking on the Xperia Play and they should be releasing more because the Xperia Play has physical buttons
I want originality like Mario style Platformers. So can anyone recommend me some ?

Gloomy dungeons is a decent game and it works with Xperias buttons. Just map the shoulder buttons to move left n right. :-D

Get my drift, on the Japanese Android Market they have a slew of these types of games, problem is is even though I can download them they will not play as they will say my phone is capable of downloading them but hen when I go to play it says incompatible, weird. Anyway, sorry to steal your thread, I will make another on my own for this topic, just got me thinking is all....

R type is another one but its hard :-D brilliant remake aswell. And radiant hd try that.

Did Real Racing 2 become Xperia PLAY Optimized while we weren't paying attention?

So we've always known that it showed up in the Xperia PLAY Game Launcher... but it was always an unanswered "why?" because the game certainly wasn't Xperia PLAY Optimized for any firmware.
Just got a tip from a user on my site that it is, and should be added to my database. As always, I like to test myself before adding anything, but I've tried to install it three times to get to a situation where it FC's every time I get past the intro video.
Can anyone confirm if RR2's updates made it work with Xperia PLAY controls?

I have been playing this game off and on for some time and unless its been updated and I have not updated it it has worked with the game controls for me. In my opinion I would say its definately optimized...
Oh and TL.... glad you like Iruna.

There was pad support in 1 version but an old one. Have been trying to track it down for ages. The newer versions come up in launcher but none of the controls work. If anyone finds which version please let me know

I am using Real Racing 2 version 1.0.2 I am able to use the hardware controls.

Hmm... having trouble finding that version. I found a lot of Reckless Racing v1.0.2, but Real Racing 2's version numbering scheme makes it hard to pinpoint that one. Mind sharing your apk for Real Racing 2? Since it's a free-to-try game, I'm gonna try to make it real easy and convenient for everyone by making what would link to the market on my site send them straight to the confirmed working APK.

This is happening to me as well. It shows up in the Launcher but it is not optimized which is weird.

You know what, I must apologize, it is reckless racing 2.. My apologies. Thats what I get for replying to this stuff while at work....

I so want to play this game with the gamepad. Any idea if we can get the devolopers to make it optimized for the Xperia Play ?

Are you guys @ jgregoryj1, TLRtheory talking about the paid version or the free version? Because the free version is not optimized. Plays just like it does on my ipod lol.

I was playing this a few weeks ago on my skiing trip and I can confirm it is Xperia Play Optimised. I was using the left and right directional buttons to steer my car and I was using the L button to brake just like on the first game.
Edit: I have the paid version and have never tired the free version.

I just reinstalled the app and its version 1.0.2
On the what's new bit when viewing on the play shop it says "fixed Xperia play controls". I bought this app from the play shop a while ago.
The buttons only work when racing though as the menus are made for the touch screen.

yes i have also been witing ages for this game to be xp optimised
as the game itself have great smooth graphics
and the physics seem really good but it plays crap
using touch screen controls and tilt

Its not optimized.
look at the market comments from other xplay users.
they are still begging for gamepad support.

...if the actual game reflects what they just showed there... I might have to end all my biases against them and tell them to promptly take my money. As for whether it'll be optimized or not... has anything Gameloft released lately not been Xperia Play Optimized? They seem to be pretty consistent on support... even if they're being bastards about phone storage consumption.

The game itself looks ok. But if they gonna release another freemium sh*t (NOVA 3 isn't, but you know what I mean...) this will be pointless.

ill be pissed if it is like men in black 3 (no xplay support), but there's always joystick center 6

+1 I agree just cause it looks good in a youtube video doesn't mean it'll be a good finished product. There are lots of games out there (not just xplay games) where the video makes it look great but when you actually play it are just terrible, example-> modern warfare 3 worst cod ever but video made it look great!

Strictly speaking on the trailer, the game looks awesome . I'd love to see a game with nice fluid combat mechanics and animations, it almost doesn't look like a Gameloft game

Ugh, is there any way for an R800X user on Verizon to buy Grandia? I have access to the first batch of releases (Wipeout, etc.) thanks to that market changer app, but not the new ones.

I bought it on my ps3. And converted it from my CDs to my phone via the converter tool. I don't know of any ay to get itbontobyour phone other then or using fpse

As a side note I guess it didnt help that in Japan the Docomo version of our phone got the game LocoRoco. That might be why everyone now believes that Sony was gong to release ported versions from PSP. THey never offcially announced any PSP games but that one did come out and it plays great....so again that might be why there is confusion. Its undestandable

Although two PSP games came to the Xperia Play, I repeat, Sony has NEVER promised or even said anything about bringing PSP games to the Xperia Play.
The rest are only rumours and more rumours.

Huh....... somehow I missed that. If I recall though people have been claiming since day one that Sony had promised PSP games for our PLAYs since its release. But yeah I'll point out I never saw that article. But al;so by the looks of the list of the 30 games coming to the PSX Mobile look lame and have zero relation to any PSP games

Aw... sorry, I missed that part. You are right though about those two games. I guess they are just two more dropped promises in a sea of them from Sony. I love my PLAY but I am disappointed in Sony's lack of support. Guess at this point its hard to know who to point a finger at, Sony or Sony Ericcson. Anyways, yeah I completely forgot about those two games being promised to us. I relent that I forgot about those and really dont know what else to say about that other then more broken promises.
On a side note, hows it going DikeJ? Been good.... considering...

About offtop question - I thought I will have more free time after I end development on X10 and Play, but now....you know....School, GYM, swimming pool. Not much time for anything else, so I'm really exhausted sometimes...And you?

Been good, same routine, work eat sleep, kids, wife, home remodeling, life goes on. Very busy lately. Thankfully my boss is pretty cool he lets me spend some tiem during work messing around on XDA, as at home I have no time for it unless its 2am on saturday morning.. haha
