I have noticed, that since restoring via google, I have a several perms errors with my apps. It is not a ROM issue, but a google issue. If you want those perms restored, you can try restoring the data from a backup (not recommended) or uninstall/reinstall the app. (I'm looking into other options.)
Update to the latest Gummy bootanimation/bootsound. Let me know what you think. I will revert back to the original if everyone begins to hate it like I did after the 10th reboot...lol

Think that was me for Lighting Zap. :crying:
I try to donate to every dev that helps make my phone new again.
I'll see if I can resend the original, took something like 45 days to go back to my bank account.
Anyway, great rom. have to play with it some more. Hope this ends up being the new VB-FB rom...
here's a logcat
Hey Thomas here's a logcat of the camcorder not startinf . I hope it helps.
@bot24 I got a 404 error when I tried to open it... Use pastebin.com and send me link please

here you go I still hope it helps I don't know why 404'd on you.
Thanks. Seems to work fine. I had no problems with SU or keeping root. Data is working although it only reports 3G ???. When I do a speedtest it does give me app 10Mbit/s so something is funky.
The number of bars on the phone reception goes from 1-3 all the time even when I'm not moving. To be fair it could be my reception here at home. I'll know more later when I go to work.
Edit: I did try to re-install the kj6 modem and the bars went up to 4 (maybe others needs to do the same)
Thanks again

I'm working on an update to fix wifi/signal issues, battery life (7 1/2 hours uptime and already dropped 13% is unacceptable for me...lol), fixing the su binary, some perms issues, and storage issues... Stay tuned folks!lol
I really like the default wallpaper, think you can upload it on here for me that would be awesome
P.s. awesome rom I used it for a couple hours, will probably revert back when you do another update.

Thomas you are most likely having problems because gummy is based off of aosp not cm9..what base did u use to port it?

I had to use CM9 due to kernel/ROM issues. But now that FB has updated his AOKP, I will be attempt a new build in the future. (The update that will be posted shortly, is NOT based on AOKP...)
Wait a tick... CM9 IS AOSP...
Oops... I screwed up in my own thread....lol

MOD NOTICE:
This is a development thread.
If your statement ends in a ? it belongs in the Q/A thread linked in the OP.
If something doesn't work correctly, first of all do a full wipe and see if the problem persists.
If it does, and it is repeatable, grab a logcat if you can, there are apps on the market for that such as aLogcat, and then post here with detailed information about what happened, how often it happened, and what happened when you were doing it.
Anyone that does not comply with these rules will receive an infraction, this is your warning.

Update Notice: at the current time, I am reviewing the herring (stock) based kernel code to port gps and other fixes to the aries kernel.
[11/04/13] Got nano2normal sim card adapter, so I can test ril
In the next few weeks I will be releasing herring updates to JB 4.2.2. I expect the same quality, and that will mean an update for those that like using CM-9.1.0. So stay tuned!
CREDITS
First off, credits need to be in order.
Big thanks goes out to jt1134 for making this all possible. CM9 on SGS4G would not be without his contributions! Please click thanks and donate on his posts!
Thanks to jeffsf for his "hefe kernel" changes. These add OC/UV and many other slick performance hacks! Thanks!
Ultimately some of those changes came from AntonX. Thanks to you too!
Also a big thanks to krylon360 for providing a mirror (which is fast as hell!)
Since this tree is basically a hack on our CM7 wip, thanks go to teamacid and everyone that helped to test CM7 and CM9!QUESTIONS/PROBLEMS?
Beastmode started a Q&A thread here. Do not ask questions or "Say Thanks" here. Just hit the thanks button.
This thread is for development *ONLY*. If you don't have anything to contribute to making this rom/kernel better, please post in said Q&A thread.WHAT WORKS and WHAT DOES NOT WORK
Working:
MTD and YAFFS2.
2.6.35.7-cyanogenmod-ICS kernel + jeffsf's "hefe" changes (Hopefully soon, we can finish porting to Aries/3.0.8)
Tiny Preempt RCU in the kernel for lower memory allocation overhead.
ClockworkMod Recovery (CWM) 6.0.1.2
Power Management (kinda, there are some wake lock issues that cause the phone to reboot)
2D and 3D Graphics
Ringtones
Modem/Radio/RIL
SMS/MMS
Bluetooth
GPS
WiFi
Sound (minus incoming call ringtones, see Not Working)
Brightness control (but not auto brightness control, see Not Working)
BLN (Requires the use of neldar's BLN application. Use the pro version for the best experience)
Vibration
Still Camera (and ffc)
Camcorder (and ffc)
Panorama (and ffc)
Video Encoding and Decoding
cpufreq/underclocking - Thanks to AntonX and jeffsf
Rebooting to recovery
USB Mounting in Android and Recovery Mode
Voodoo sound
Wireless Tethering
911 - Thanks for reporting, Rebel_X and WillieWonka1985!
TV-Out
Advanced in Settings Menu.
CM File Manager *New - Thanks to FBis251
Not Working:
Auto Brightness control
Reboot to download mode
Car/Desk dock audio
WiFi-Calling (this might never work)
Wired Tethering
Untested:
You tell me...
If anything here looks wrong, let me know and I will be happy to update this OP.
CHANGELOG
For now, checkout the teamacid github
And here is the local_manifest.xml
Instructions
Download the ROM zip file to your SD card
Reboot to CWM/TWRP
Do a factory reset (only needed if you were not previously running cm9 - herring)
Format /system (same as with factory reset, only needed if not previously running cm9 - herring)
Flash the ROM using CWM/TWRP
(Optional) Flash gapps-ics-20120429-signed.zip if you want the Market plus other Google apps.
Clear cache and dalvik cache, fixing permissions at this point is a good idea!
Reboot to the ROM
If you previously had IMEI/EFS problems, flash back to stock with Eollie's Heimdall OneClick, then flash CM9 from there. NOTE: currently wifi will not work after flashing the oneclick. Known issue.
Flashing from 3.0.2.8 recovery does not work. Make sure the version of your recovery is 5.0.2.x (x being 7 or 8). If you use eollie's oneclick, you will have the right recovery.
This kernel is currently herring (stock) based. We plan to change to aries when it stabilizes.
So above where I say "cm9 - herring", that is different then "cm9 - aries".
Got problems? Ask in the Q&A Thread!

The radio is touchy 4g or H doesn't lock in as well as it should, also there seems to be a battery drain issue it went from 100% to 3% in just 4 hours. I'll see if I can upload a log cat when I get home from work.

That didn't happen to me, so there must be an issue with your flash, or you had no service so your phone became hot.

I think there is parts missing from the data usage tab. I can't set a limit and its telling me no data has been used but a lot actually has. Not really sure how to report it though because theres nothing in the logs
Auto Brightness DOES work, it just takes a while for it to actually kick in.
And yeah, the Data Usage screen doesn't seem to be keeping track of anything for me.
Tested and Working
- Bluetooth - Working (on first try it froze my phone)
- GPS - Working excellent (it shows exactly where I am in Puerto Rico). Its also displaying if I move north west east our south more quickly than before.
- Weather Lockscreen displays the location as well.
- Wi-FI - Working
I did notice that when synching with Facebook it no longer says only facebook friends that have their phone. It sync the whole friend list.
- Tmobile Visual Voicemail is NOW supported. FIXED. (Check attached file)
- Tethering works on both USB and Wi-Fi.
- Ringtones not working.
- SMS/MMS Working.
Im still exploring so stay tuned.

RINGTONES NOT WORKING STILL THOUGHT I FOUND A FIX... IT ONLY VIBRATES.
YOU CAN SEND YOUR RINGTONES TO YOUR SD, THEN GO TO APOLLO PRESS AND HOLD AND SET A CUSTOM RINGTONE. BUT WHEN YOU CALL IT WILL ONLY VIBRATE.
BUT IF YOU GO TO SOUND PROFILE IT WILL PLAY THE RINGTONE...

Please don't shout. There is a fix coming. We had this issue in early CM7 builds. We just need to bring over changes from CM7.

-Wifi- For wifi to work, you must FLASH new kernel.
Warning
Flash at your own risk. Everything that I use works fine, but may not for you. I do not take any responsibility for anything that may happen after flashing.

OK first findings, using latest harsh oc kernel battery continues to display 100%, any suggestions?
As far as I can tell this rom is pretty damn solid, I've beat the hell out of it, was restoring apps and listening to Google Play music streams, Facebook post and Gmail... not one hickup

This will definitely be the ics rom that I will come back to once the wifi issue is fixed no doubt
These kernels are for CyanogenMod 10 - Alpha 4.
The goal of these builds is to fix the issues with phone signal, which is not properly working with the stock kernel. Nothing was changes, no extra features, no nothing.
There won't be any more "development" now that the bug is fixed.
The experimental sync bug fix, as the name says, it's a new sync bug fix I was testing. It's here because it partially fixed the missing signal issue at first, but it's not the real fix.
Downloads:

kernel-cm-10-A4-signal_fix-exp.zip: experimental sync bug fix [0003, 0004] + signal fix [0001, 0002] - (previously known as V2)
kernel-cm-10-A4-restore.zip: stock alpha 4 kernel.
Note: I forgot to change the "name" of the kernel, so you'll get [email protected]_CM9. Don't worry, it's for CM10
Even though I marked V2 as experimental build and I added it as alternative choice, it's the most downloaded version.
As I reported several time ago, mobile data is maybe less stable with it and I think it's because the PDA state is controlled with early suspend instead of the regulr suspend, as it was in the old Samsung releases. In case of problems, flash V1.
If you noticed anything, please report
Source code:
android_kernel_samsung_latona at 0e84cc4896 + patches attached, applied as indicated above.
I verified that when a stock ROM is used, GPIO 126 is normally set to 0.

If you are stuck at Samsung splash screen and you are unable to reboot in recovery (I don't know why some users are facing this issue), so you are not able to flash another kernel or restore a backup, you can try to flash one of the kernels with ODIN.
Downloads:
kernel-cm-10-A4-signal_fix-ODIN.tar: dhiru's kernel + signal fix [0001, 0002] - (previously known as V1)

kernel-cm-10-A4-restore-ODIN.tar: stock alpha 4 kernel.
Reboot in Download mode and flash as PDA.
Kernel modules are not included in the PDA. They are not necessary if you were using dhiru's CM with no custom kernels. If you are not sure, do as follows:
Flash kernel as PDA with ODIN (assuming you are stuck at Samsung splash screen and can't reboot in recovery)
Reboot in recovery (pull the battery if nothing works and use the three-keys combo)
Flash CyanogenMod 10 zip (your data will be preserved)
Flash once again kernel as PDA with ODIN

Update: Now I know what stock ROMs use (GPIO 126 = 0). I'll soon update the kernel.
I already wrote that this won't be a custom kernel, no extra features, overclock etc. I opened this thread simply to test a fix, that's why I opened it in the general section, even though the dev section would have been more appropriate.
I'm lazy, so read this post.
kernel V1: includes only the sec_get_param_value fix
kernel V2: includes both the first change (the reworked sync bug) and the sec_get_param_value fix

As I posted in dhiru's thread, with my kernel I catch the mobile signal faster than with the stock kernel. I don't have to wait, all I have to do is to turn off and then on the screen once.
I've recently done some changes to my kernel regarding the sync bug. So, suspecting those changes are what makes the difference, I applied the same changes to dhiru's kernel and built it.
I tried to reboot few times and there's really a difference, at least for me.
I suspect that with the stock kernel there are only issues in reporting the current intensity, because 3G and calls seem to work.

I don't know if battery life is affected, if the sync bug is really gone (no issues till now) or if there are issues with this kernel (I'm not using it. I only tested it for a few minutes). Flash at your own risk.
Don't report any bug in CM10 thread if you are using this kernel. Use the restore zip first, try to reproduce the bug and then report.
Question
Hi loSconosciuto, i have one question regard alpha 4. I have problem with signal too (as i posted in alpha 4 general thread) but i think it is beacuse my modem (LUBKPD) has been overwrite to DDLE1. Is there any posibility to create a flashable zip only to overwrite my (our, for those who live in south america and has the same problem). Sorry to ask you but i do not know what to do, cause my media storage don't get recognize and i can`t back to stock rom and no one reply my question in general, my phone is practically a stone, except for that moment when get signal (sms and calls only). Thank you!

Sorry to ask you but i do not know what to do, cause my media storage don't get recognize and i can`t back to stock rom and no one reply my question in general, my phone is practically a stone, except for that moment when get signal (sms and calls only). Thank you!

I could, but I don't have LUBKPD modem.
All you have to do is to take modem.bin from the PDA of your ROM (as you may know, you can open it as a normal tar), copy it in /radio overwriting the existing one and reboot. Permissions will be automatically set on reboot.
If you want, here two (different) flashable zips I made for myself. You have to replace modem.bin inside of the zip with yours and then flash.
radio-cm-XXLE4-galaxysl-signed.zip (will erase /radio and then copy the modem)
radio-cm-KPU-galaxysl-noerase-signed.zip (will simply copy the modem)
Works perfectly. Thank you dear Sir

Ok, I think I almost fixed the problem. sec_get_param_value is an exported symbol defined in param.ko (yeah, brilliant...), but we don't use that module anymore in alpha4. The consequence is that the function that turns on the modem is never executed completely.
It still needs some improvements. switch_sel is never set or initialized, but at least the connection is immediately enstablished now. The problem is that I'm not sure which is the best option, so I'll wait for more opinions about it.
In the meanwhile I built two new kernels:
kernel V1: includes only the sec_get_param_value fix
kernel V2: includes both the first change (the reworked sync bug) and the sec_get_param_value fix
V2 is a little bit more "experimental".
OP updated with the new patch.

Maybe this is not the right place for this thread, but I opened it here because there won't be any development.
I flashed the V2 and I got the signal instantly after flashing

This thread should be moved to development section.
So that people are aware of the fix.
And it works perfectly, thanks to losconsiuoto

I wrote some of the original instructions on the i9003 forums, so procedure/method is not a problem here.
I think the issue is I flashed the v2 kernel over the ParanoidAndroid latest 2.54 Alpha4 assuming that as the base is this ROM, the kernel would work. But got a soft brick. Its all fine now, had to go through the whole KPE, LF2 process and now flashing CM10 Aplha4.
If you could just tell me if replacing the modem.bin from LF4 is enough for the signal issues or do I still need to flash the V2 kernel?
Thanks in advance!
EDIT: Flashed V2 but got a 2nd soft brick. Went through the whole process again () My signal and data are working but the indicator is greyed out.
resolved problems
I had problems relating to signal strength and storage.
Thanks and its now working perfectly.

I'm very well mate, you? :highfive:
Just been off the radar due to a choked studio schedule. I've been somewhat active on the One X forums though.
Cousin asked me to update his SL (passed on from me) and this happened last night. I'm not sure whether to flash the v2 kernel again as signal etc is working but the icon is all grey and it takes about 15 mins after a reboot to get signal. Don't have the time to go through the entire clean flash process all over again.

Welcome to the new age of Gingerbread!!
Gingerbread? WTF? Yes I know everyone wants ICS&JB but they have not had any of this kicka$$ gingerbread yet.
4g, HDMI, SMS/MMS, FFC, Flash media (streaming internet video), Every freature HTC offered with this phone works with this rom (even the kick stand. LOL!!)
I have been in my kitchen cooking up something special for yall OG users. Until now you had a difficult choice to make. Use gingerbread to have full function of your OG or use ICS/JB and have the looks but lose some features. Now this is not just another themed out gingerbread rom trying to be ICS/JB. This is a complete rework of GB with many features found in ICS/JB back ported. I did not create this rom but I did merge the source code with multiple OG device trees to get it working. The real credit goes to SquadZone!! These guys are awesome and have done a super job with this. So for everything that works thank them and for everything that is broken blame me.
So lets take care of the b.s. first.
https://github.com/CyanMobile - Source I used to build from
https://github.com/atyoung - Source used for kernel
https://github.com/jlmancuso/KAKA - My source of KAKA (not uploaded yet, still testing before releasing)
My kernel K.A.K.A. is still in the works. I just have not had time to get it finished yet.
Thanks to:
SquadZone - for an awesome source
Atyoung - for the best gb kernel
Evervolv - for being the best (oh and I stole some of my device tree from them)
CM - another awesome group (yes I stole some of my tree from them too)
B-boy - for most of the black and transparent apps (http://b-boytm.webnode.com/themed-apps)
Google - without I would never have been able to build this beast from source (by Google I am refering to the search engine mostly)
PlatinumPenguin - who donated his old 3vo to me (this will also be built as a tablet style rom later for him)
thedemonic - testing and repacking the boot.img for me (thanks a million!!!)
....more will be added later
Also always feel free to hit me up on google (plus+, talk, or old fashion email, [email protected])
Beta 3.0 is out but it is not the grand enchilada I have planed. With all the small things acting up I have had to put the cool things to the side for the moment and focus on the core. I have been running this all day downloading, surfing, streaming music, video, playing with dropbox. So I think we are now ready to have enjoy this Beast of a Rom.
Install Instructions
1. Backup your current ROM
2. Download and flash current rom
3. Do not flash anything else (except kernels) If you flash any mods you will most likely have issues.
4. Reboot phone and wait. First boot takes a very long time and you may get a reboot right after the splash screen. This is normal no worries also the boot song will finish before the rom is done loading.
5. Go to Post 2 and setup your gps and a2sd if you want it.

If you feel like you must give I am providing a link to the Red Cross and would like for yall to give them whatever it is yall wanted to give to me. Mother Earth has come to take that which is her's and I like most others would like to give to those who really need it. Link below is for Red Cross donations. Lets keep this tread clean (free of non-development chatter)

Special Release
Since I have what looks to be a stable base I wanted to go ahead and let yall use it. This does not have the custom kernel or install script yet (been busy working Lol! So I have not finished the kernel. This release has 100% of the included apps working and so far I have had great feed back from my beta testing team. Thanks guys. All of the apps from 2.3 are still in 3.0 (transparent & inverted) with only a few changes to the versions. So far everything downloaded from the market works without any issues.
BOOT AUDIO WARNING
this audio should be 99% safe (nothing bad) yet might still give you a shock factor
Special Flashing Instructions
1. DO NOT!! flash any extra tweaks, or mods!! The can and most likely result in bootloops and will most likely require a complete wipe and reinstall of CyanMobile!!!
2. You can flash other GingerBread AOSP kernels. This could also have adverse effects. Like always this is just a warning if you flash it you might have to fix it. LOL..
3. THIS WILL WIPE everything but your sd-ext and sdcard. I always suggest wiping your sd-ext if you have problems with the first install. You made a backup right?
4. Flash Rom
5. Reboot (Gapps included with rom) WARNING: DONT UPDATE ANY GOOGLE APP THIS WILL CAUSE PROBLEMS IF YOU DO.
6. Wait and enjoy your boot audio (first boot takes a very long time)
7. Please let the phone sit for a few mins before the first use this ROM has lots of things it only does on the first boot so as hard as it can be please, please, please wait. It will be worth it.
8. Now reboot phone and enjoy the wonders of GingerBread!! Who knew it could be so good?
9. Now for those who read all the instructions before doing something I have a treat for you.
10. Now go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=42092464 follow the instructions I posted there to enable a2sd (yes a small part of my CyanMobile settings map, Now for sale as an app for only $19.99 Lol!!

KAKA Kernel information and change log
KAKA is now available for your Og!!!
What is KAKA?
KAKA stands for Kick A$$ Kernel Aosp version. It is an updated and modified version of the Mason G series kernel.
What has been done to make it KAKA?
Well this is the first release and also my first kernel so it is a work in progress. I have added 3 governors and enabled SWAP.
What is in KAKA's future?
I plan on adding more features such as two way call recording, adding more IO schedulers, and bringing this up to the latest Linux kernel version.
So what governors have been added?
I have created/modified 3 of my own while also including other available governors. Here is a list of all the governors.
Brazilianwax
conservative
intelllidemand
interactive
interactivex
lagfree
lazy
lionheart
lulzactive
minmax
ondemand
ondemandx
performance
powersave
samurai
savegedzen
scary
smartass
smartass2
smoothass
superbad
userspace
virtuous
wheatly
and my new ones
deathbysoap
diablo
hipkat
This kernel will be a match for the rom. More options than most users will know what to do with. For now it is only available with CyanMobile or from source if you want to compile it yourself. There is also plans for ICS and JB versions some time in the future.
So what are deathbysoap, diablo, and hipkat?
Well they are my tribute to 3 of our great XDA members and modified versions of existing governors. I have chosen each governor to reflect (somewhat) each member and then modified each one to make them better.
Death by Soap - is a modified version of intellidemand
Diablo - is a modified version of SmartAss2
HipKat - is a modified version of Conservative
Each one has been tweaked to give better performance and battery life. Specifics of the modifications will be provided later.
What I/O Schedulers will be available?

If all users would please start using this simple form located below it will make things easier for everyone. Hint: if you use the red color code already in the form it will make reading the bug/issue report easier for me and other users who might have similar issues. Thanks for all your feedback without it this rom could never improve.

2. Kernel -stock
3. H-boot - 6.16.16
4. Recovery type - RA/twrp/cwm
5. Hardware type, radio, and baseband ( not required but can be helpful) - baseband 2.15.00.01.15
6. What happened (crash, reboot, boot loop, etc.) - system crash
7. What you were doing when it happened - trying out xda app
8. Does it happen every time or is it a random issue - everytime
9. If it is an app please list the app version and if the app was downloaded from the market or installed via other method - inverted xda app from xda website
10. Are you using a2sd? Which script? - Yes, the built in a2sd / DT's a2sd
11. If using a2sd please list sdcard partition specs - 16 gig class 10 Sandisk, 256 MB swap, 1.0 gig ext 4 sd-ext partition
12. Can you provide a logcat (a logcat app comes with the rom to make this part easier) - no logcat dont know how
13. Logcats should be loaded to pastebin or attached to your bug report post. - https://pastbin.com/user/logcat.txt or attach to post and rename to logcat.zip (do not compress just change the extension because xda will only allow up to 512 KB text files)
13. Any tweaks, mods, or zips you flashed besides those I provided yall - no, no crossbreeder either yet.
14. Any other information you think might be important. - im a noob/just burned a bowl/just finished a 12 pack
Nice... Kinda first.
What you mean kinda first? Mine dont count. LOL! I pull two extras off the top to keep the OP clean and neat. Oh by the way for those who get the rubix cube just tap it and it will go away. Also random boot animations are not really setup yet it just has the ones for the nexus which is where I stole the script from. LOL! Well I guess stole is not the correct term since I gave credit. Swiper no swipe!!!!!!!!!!!
oh well. this was to be an edit of my change log but somehow became a post. not enough sleep and too much bud
Guess I should flash my zip since I have not tested it yet. This was pulled straight from my phone and zipped up and sent to the net before I even thought to test it. I sure hope it works.
Edit: Rom works but not like what I had in my phone. v6 freaked things up. Busybox is massive a su bianary is missing along with a couple of apps and mods. New upload this afternoon.

Wow does this have a ton of options. I haven't seen a ROM this feature packed since MIUI. It also runs fast even in Boot Manager, which runs from the sd card. I can only imagine how fast it runs from the phone. Still exploring, but excellent job!

yeah the download is good he just needs a different install script. i have not updated it to the jellybean installer. well actually i did check which one it used by default during the source build. the new download will have the updated script plus i will remove the market updater. even though this rom claims to be 2.3.8 it still requires an ancient market and will not run any other version. i will have to dig around and find a tweaked version of market to include also.
new update will be up within the next couple of hours. i am working on it now. also sorry about the dl size while digging around the rom i noticed the size of xbin (which is where busybox is) talk about a massive error there. rom should be a few hundred megs smaller next go round.

Again sorry about the size of that one. At 4 am it is hard to remember to check all that stuff. I have beta 2.1 setup and I am testing it now. Although this is still a large rom at 317 megs it is better than that 560+ bs of beta 2. Also just about every extra app I added is located in the data partition so if you dont want or need it you can easily uninstall it.
The update will be done shortly I have to do a bit of work to get the installer script squared away since I am converting it over to the JB binary. With luck it will be on the servers before 3 PM CST!
Edit: Bad news for yall status 7 people. The JB binary is having issues with this rom. I am going to try making a new kind of install and see it I can get yall on this too. It will be flashed from the bootloader like a RUU if I can make it work. Keep your eye out for the beta 2.1 RUU style release. Until then yall are still a no go on CyanMobile. SORRY
Well this sucks. Started upload over hour ago and only at 5% with estimated 6+ hrs remaining. Going to try uploading from my cell with es file explorers sftp feature. Might only take two hours that way.

I was just kidding about the file size, nothing but respect for devs, here. Can't wait to try this out, good things come to those who wait, I figure...

WildKernel
for AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II
Go check out Tame! It goes great with this and it handles OTA updates for this kernel.
This is a Linux based (3.0.101) Kernel which is maintained by me kept inline with the Cyangenmod Kernel so this is compatible with ALL the latest KitKat Roms (unless otherwise stated in the ROM).
Please report anything good and bad so that I know what to keep and what not to keep for the next release. This also helps me push out fixes faster when presented with lots of information (such as logs etc.).
Please see changelogs for an in-depth look at features. Also take a look at the screenshots for a sneak peek.

Tried to install but keep getting an md5 error and a message about getprop device not equaling.
Downloaded and tried twice...

Installer zip fixed, please re download if you downloaded kernel before seeing this message....thanks!
The new installer worked, thanks. I'll play around with it and report back but I can already say that WiFi direct doesn't work (it's always the first thing I check b/c it's the only problem I have with any of the skyrockets current kernels)

Are you sure that problem is directly related to the kernel? It sounds more like a Rom issue....does it work on your rom's stock kernel?

I guess the burning question for me if this includes all of Sultan's bluetooth fixes. His kernel for CM really is the gold standard for our device thus far.
I see you mentioned him in the OP so I am hopeful lol. I'd love to be able to flash this kernel with any rom knowing the usual plagues (such as the constant BT disconnect) are no longer an issue.
Thanks a lot for this! Nice to see the SR still getting some love

I'm pretty sure it's at the kernel level only because it works with @Sultanxda's kernel. His is the only 4.4.x kernel that WiFi direct has ever worked on for me on the skyrocket. It worked on the official CM10.2 ROMS/kernels but every since CM11 was introduced it's been broken. The ROM I'm using now could connect with WIFI direct when built with Sultan's kernel.
Even with Sultans kernel, Miracast (with uses WIFI direct) will connect but the graphics are all scrambled. I suspect that has to do with some of the memory enhancements he's made. If I knew how to build kernels I'd like to try using the official CM11 kernel source and only applying his WIFI direct commit to see what the results are, but unfortunately I don't know how to build them and can't seem to find the time to do the research to learn. Maybe one day.
I've had no issues otherwise and I've been using it for a few days now. Thanks

Once your screen goes black from the reboot, hold both the volume buttons until your device goes into recovery. Then either use ADB or your recovery's file manager to retrieve /proc/last_kmsg and it post it here. It always helps to present issues with a log ready, for future reference.
So... I got bored.
I installed the following ROM's and got bootloops for each (basically every 4.4.4 ROM I know of for Skyrocket):
AOKP - Dated 15-Sep-14
CM11 - Dated 19-Oct-14
PacRom - Dated 25-Aug-14
Mokee - Dated 12-Oct-14
Dirty Unicorns - Dated 2-Oct-14
SlimKat - Dated 14-Oct-14
CarbonRom - Dated 17-Oct-14
Beanstalk - Dated 9-Oct-14
CandyKat - Dated 18-Oct-14
Paranoid - Dated 9-Oct-14
I didn't test the following ROMs:
SultanXDA CM11 - Dated 19-Oct-14 Didn't test since I was told it would bootloop
MIUI V6 - Currently getting a bootloop so no reason to try it

Never done this before (well, I know how to get into recovery...lol). I'll post the file in a few minutes after reflashing one of the ones above. Can i empty this folder when I'm done? There's 200 or so subfolders in there.
ETA: Added attachment.

Hmm interesting, since I dont have this device, I can't do this myself. But do u think u can you do the following?
1. Flash one of the Roms you listed that bootlooped above
2. Open my kernel installer and delete /system/bin/thermald
3. Push it to your device and install
4. Does it boot?

Sadly, bootloops again (I installed the AOKP rom; clean, no GApps, let it boot once, boot to recovery and flash modified zip).

Too bad i hope emmanuel fix this.. Anything i can do ..
Reboots
I was playing around in Tame earlier and my phone rebooted a few times. I wasn't doing anything too crazy, turned off SweepToWake, changed the governor to Lazy and it froze and rebooted. The first time it happened I had changed the max frequency and a couple of other things, so I attributed the reboot to that, however when it booted back up I only changed the two items mentioned above and it rebooted again, this time it stayed off so I booted into recovery and got the kMsg, hopefully it helps. That's not the first time I've used Tame, I initially installed it, changed a few things and everything was fine, but my phone had been turned off since then so I was going back in to set it back the way I had it.
I'm currently using the liquidsmooth as my ROM, and this is really the first issue I've had with your kernel (other than WIFI direct, but that's pretty much all the kernels for this device). I think you've even improved my battery life, I don't do gaming or anything so I don't really ever notice any performance gains or that sort of thing, but I haven't noticed anything moving slower, which is good.
Update
Another minor update today, sorry about the initial discrepancies! Blame me, since I don't actually have this device. Well it should boot on all ROMs now, enjoy .... I guess.
Works great on PA! I'll mess with it for a bit and provide useful feedback.

Flashed successfully on Carbon 10/17 nightly. Seems pretty snappy so far. Nice work!
Hi. Thanks for sharing this Kernel. I have a question...
Before, I was using Carbon with its stock kernel, Conservative governor and noop; there was no lag at all, but battery seems to last too little time in continous use and even when it was with screen off. Even before that, the CPU governor was set by default at Interactive, but the Skyrocket freezes in several times, sometimes after unplug it from charger or after unlocking it after a time (like 1 hour or something), sometimes the device hangs so long until I reboot it or it reboots itself. So, Interactive isn't the best choice for me.
The question is: What is the best choice for a governor if I want the longest battery life, but with any freezing any time?
Could you please help me?

Yes, I'm sorry, I forgot to say that actually I'm using Lazy governor at 96-1350 and sio as you recommended it, but I thought that maybe there's a no listed recommendation for maximun battery or something like that.
