I think the ICS most battery saving ROM On CM9-24-06-12 By nk111.
The official ROM propose to select Sense3.6, because of the relatively stable.
Sense4a is also relatively easy to use, but really power.

jepes63´s value seems very good and i don´t think that better battery live then his one can be archived.
Cyanogen and AKOP looks pretty unstable to me maybe in future they will be more attractive

I think the most u can get out from different rom is about 2-4 hours(not an educated guess, just presumably).
Unless any rom can give me an extra day with the 2nd day battery still at 50%, I dun think a few extra hours would make any difference. I usually charge at night(2am @ about <15%) before i slp and try to use my phone wise as possible so that it can reach about 24 hours then charge it again for the next day.
Just say it give me and additional 12 hours of play time, then for my normal way of usage the battery would end up 15% at 2 in the afternoon, which at that time i would be out. And the phone average charge time is around 2 hours(using htc provided charger).
So between roms, imo if it last u a day then it should be good enuf, instead look for roms that gives u an interface which u would enjoy most and not worry about the battery life.

I'm using Fallout Evolution V4.3.0|Sense 4.0A| ICS 4.03] [Kernel Stock 3.0.16] after a full wipe and reinstall.
Battery life is great, but it does depend on how much you use your phone etc etc etc.

On an average, I generally get around 16 hours of Battery life (not considering
Deep sleep period) with moderate use & on 3G !
A charge a day is normal for smartphones nowadays...

It depends mostly on how you use it. When i traveled to an other country and deactivate my data connection (cause of costs for roaming) my battery works for 2-3 days even with the stockrom. I tried CM7 a view weeks ago but recognized no big difference. Maybe 5% more? actually i use the fallout 4.2 and it works with normal use an 3g on for 1 and a half day. Thats better than CM7 for me and the rom works stable (CM9 based roms actually not).

Fallout 4.4
I'm currently using fallout 4.4, it really is a great rom with a great battery life!

None of them. BAMF's battery life was so horrible I switched to Liquid Thundersense. Battery life almost doubled.
Battery life is a combination of Radio, Location, ROM, Kernel, Kernel settings, Applications, Use..etc etc...
There is no magic combination. Try things out, monitor the battery consumption, and find out what works best for you.
I am using BAMF without issues after I reset my battery stats.
I was having similar issues to some where I would lose 2% within a half hour of unplugging my Tbolt, and then be down to 10% remaining after 12 hours with light use!
I am rooted, so I don't know if there is a way to do this stock, but I recently did this which has drastically improved battery life to where I am down to only 82% after 6 hours of moderate use (calls, Angry Birds, YouTube).
Fully charge your phone
While still on the charger, I rebooted into recovery and reset/wiped my battery stats
Used the phone heavily to get it almost dead
When the phone auto shuts off near death, I booted into recovery
Leave phone alone to fully die as recovery leaves the screen on and doesn't turn off
After phone dies, fully charge again before use
After doing this, my battery life was greatly improved. Nothing else changed.
I get terrible battery life with Bamf as well. Just rooted about a month ago and have only tried two roms. Bamf and currently tuning Synergy

A lot better than stock and Bamf. I'm a pretty heavy user and was only getting maybe 8 hours... Getting around 12 -14 now. Had Pandora going for about 3 hours straight this morning off full charge and still had 70%.

Battery Life on Android Revolution HD

I am creating this thread as a thread for people to post screenshots of their battery life, instead of having to go through the over 3,000 pages on the ARHD thread in the Android development section.
I am still on the second battery cycle, and will post results in a day or two.
but feel free to post yours. I think it will help people decide if they want to use this ROM or not.
Seems like a pretty good idea, I will take a pic when I can
I have no pictures, but when I was using ARHD i get about seven hours moderate use.

Hi everyone, I'm using ARHD too and having a question. To a few first charge cycles for the new ROM to settle down, do I need to let it drains completely (dies) and then charge it to 100%? Or I just need to charge the phone till it reach under 15% without turning it off?
Thanks in advance,

Lots of similar threads around.
Seems to me what is really useful to know is the current drain during standby (as logged by current widget or other similar prog). My opinion at least is, when you're using the phone to do stuff, it's gonna drain battery at a rate depending on what you're doing and how fast you're doing it, so that has little to do with the ROM. But when the phone is in standby for the other 10 or 20 hours, if it's draining 300ma or 3ma is what makes the big difference to battery life. I'm seeing 2:1 differences just by putting a different radio in! And as far as I'm concerned, stock, insertcoin, ARHD, whatever... any one would be fine feature wise, but it's much more important to me to have a phone that will last a full hard day without a charge. And a 2 day cycle would trump all other details. So I'm experimenting with different ROMs, kernels, radios and RILs to try to find the magic combination.
And BTW, FWIW, so far, ARHD with Bricked kernel and recommended radio seems to be best (at about 40ma), and I've seen a lot of others reaching the came conclusion. But I remember reading a thread where a guy was showing 1 to 3ma! (it wasn't a sensation though, but an HTC of some sort), so I think there's room for improvement somewhere!
See this thread also:

Current widget draining battery on Sensation
I used current widget a time or two to monitor my drainage with ARHD 6.5.X and the drain on standby was around 45-60mahwith spikes up to 150... Drained my battery within 14 hours. Uninstalled it - easily had juice left 18 hours later or so when I hooked it back up to the charger..
The battery life in standby is pretty good, however I've found that when playing a game, the battery drops about 10% every 15 minutes which is very concerning. I'm running ARHD 41.0. My battery life used to be just fine while playing graphic intensive games on the stock ROM. It concerns me.

Terrible Battery Life underclocked on GB

I can't get more than 1.5 hours screen on time without draining my battery. I did a full wipe and clean install of Bugless Beast with GlaDOS kernel and I'm underclocked to 880 MHz. 1.5 hours screen time and maybe 20 minutes talk!!! What's going on here?! Does anybody have a clue what' wrong with my phone?
I would first try another ROM, close to stock I would suggest Oxygen 2.3.2 with the stock kernel if you want to stay on GB. If it still drains your battery that fast your battery may be dying. If it lasts waaaay longer you'll know there's something wrong with your ROM and/or Kernel combo...
You can try ReCaliberating your Battery, but it probably won't help, your battery could be screwed up... Try getting a new one if you can and see what happens?

Great advice I was going to suggest Oxygen too, but version 2.3.1 instead, because for many people including myself 2.3.2 was not as stable.
I used Oxygen 2.3.1 coupled with glados, used to have 30 hours+ on a single charge.
Please check if your phone signal is always weak. Weak signals eat your battery up since the phone works harder to stay connected.
As the guys also suggested wipe the battery stats. download battery calibration from the market and fullow instructions.
Gd luck
I just ordered a new battery though... not a stock one but it was rated high on Amazon.

It's probably because Sprint's network sucks and your phone is dying while trying to find a damn signal from their crappy network. When I'm out and about, my phone lasts about half as long with the same usage. If I'm at home and connected to WiFi, I'll have great battery life.
just wanted to know y would u underclock ur phone?? wouldnt that make it slow???
try nexusshacks.com... great roms..

Not really. And as far as the network connection about 10% of the time I'm without a signal according to my battery stats. I don't know if that would drain it that much.

If you want better battery life, I can suggest a few things.
Buy a better battery, flash a non sense rom(sense takes up a lot of battery), shut off your gps, turn down your brightness, if those still don't help, there might be a rogue app in the background . Use system tuner to find it.
What like cm9 I was on fence I guess I will try it bright on auto no money for battery

I find this hard to believe. I've tried all three, non-sense, sense, and AOSP. I get about the same battery life (screen on, max brightness, active use; 3.25 hours). That's whether or not I strip most of the useless applications out.
Anyway, OP, best I can tell you is to remove that Sense 4 rom. Seriously, they're not 100% ready for our phones and may never be. Any instabilities or issues you have using them are your own doing.

I disagree that Sense takes up a lot of battery. I've run AOSP, Sense and Senseless ROMs and to be honest, they take up about the same amount of battery. But yes, turn down your brightness (don't use auto-brightness) and try another ROM. I've generally found Sense 4 ROMs to have greater battery drain, which I believe can't be helped at the moment considering that they're ports and the devs are still working hard to make them stable/smooth.
I've got stock battery and I can definitely get more than 12 hours with moderate use.
you should disable automatic brightness if you want better battery life, but there is really something wrong with your sensation, try to install the newest firmware and do a full wipe and a new install of the rom you prefer.

Phone powers off when using camera flash

If I use the camera and have the flash on, and the battery is less than about 75% charged, the phone shuts off and won't turn back on until I pull the battery.
Often, when the phone powers back up after this, it shows the battery is almost dead, or at least significantly lower than before - I've seen it go from 70% to 15% a few times after this. It's done this with every ROM I've had, including stock Gingerbread and ICS, but it used to only do it if the battery was close to dead. Now I pretty much can't use the flash unless it's fresh off the charger or plugged in.
I'm thinking the battery is shot, would I be correct in this assumption? If so, can I use any Nexus S battery, or do I need to use a 4G specific battery? It's the Sprint 4G model.
Thanks!
If anyone cares, I got a new battery. Camera now works reliably, and I now get more than 6-8 hours out of a charge. Snagged the Anker 1600 mAh battery from Amazon.

While I was out today (about 3 hours), 4G was on, and I had music streaming as well. Running JellyBean (CM10 Experimental) with Air Kernel @ 1.2 GHz.
Think it's safe to say my battery was shot - it was a Sprint-branded battery that came with the phone, but I got it used, and the person I got it from last year got it as a refurb.
When was the last time u reset battery stats in the old battery since its supposed to be done at least every time u flash a new ROM or if in same ROM for some time do it about once each month....
And what ROM where u using and what camera ..... stock or market APP?

One of the Google developers came out awhile back and stated there's no reason to reset battery stats, ever. TWRP 2.2 doesn't even have the option anymore. Plus the phone kept powering off when I'd use the flash on the old battery.
I'm using Burns' CM10 Experimental (8/6) with Air Kernel, but I've had this issue with every rom, including stock (as stated in the OP). Problem happened with stock camera app and every 3rd party camera app, also happened if I used the LED as a flashlight. When it's happening across multiple ROMs, I think it's a safe bet to say it's a hardware problem.
..
The phone was a refurb that I bought used, and came with a Sprint-branded battery when I bought it. But yeah, I was basically asking someone to verify what I was thinking - which you just did.
Here's the battery it came with:
Anyway, several days on the Anker battery now, and no complaints at all. Battery life is easily tripled, though this screenshot was taken with me sitting on wifi all day. It seems to hit 70-80% about when the old battery would die. Remember I'm running an early experimental build of CM10, with a mild overclock.
