hey guys , im using HTC ONE X. there's a bit problem with the phone thou.where's all the downloaded apps files saved to?
I downloaded an app named "Quran Android". i need to download all the surah in order to play it.Yeah i've downloaded all the surah and there's no problem with it.but where's the downloaded files saved to?
before this i used Galaxy S2. All the downloaded files saved to "My Files".

Is there not a 'Downloads' app in your drawer? I've installed stock Android now (and encourage any other One X owner to do the same) so I can't remember if it was there with HTC Sense or not.

first of all, i thank u for showing interest in my query. u gotta be rooted to copy the file.....
here is the procedure....root ur chacha, use a file maneger (i recommend root explorer), go to system folder and then to the app folder. search for the camera apk and copy it to your SD card
easy enough.
even if u port it from the stock rom , the app it wont install in custom rom , i tried it . i tried editing cm7 rom and adding htc camera , with fb chat , and live walpaper .it didnt install properly
I think in aptoide there's a camera app, totally clean, in case you can' get the original one. Cheers!

I want to download paid apps from google.
I download some APK apps from the PC, but I don't know how to install them in the device
Mount Disk Drive and copy the file from PC to Phone.
Unmount then find that apk file using something like ES File explorer, Click it and it will install

I use ES File explorer but I don't find the place of the apps
did you copy the apk to the root of the sd card ? Meaning not inside any folders ?
Do it straight from ur phone if u want free apps use google play store If u want paid apps use 4shared because ul get them free

If you are looking for paid apps that are not officially form the play store, Your in the wrong place.
We dont support piracy here so please dont ask about it.
And a note for the other posters, Please dont share sites on how to get free paid apps, If you must discuss this, discuss it elsewhere.

Put them in a dropbox and browse to the place and download it

It is also very interested in me.
But my tab has rooted, and the app description says: "This application will not run on devices that are rooted."
Any idea? Do you know somewhere to download fhis aplication?

My problem is that I have jelly bean (Android 4.1) installed on my Nexus 7. I can edit the device to make the market think it's a 10 inch tablet but still no joy. Says the app is not compatible with my device. What we all need is for someone to download the app and post the .apk file.

i tried to install this application too on my Acer A500 (rooted) and i have the same problem... It checks the system if it s rooted at the installation and at the use. I tried to hide by using "hide my root" or "OTA Rootkeeper" but it doesn t work.
Moreover i ve got a second tablet (Acer A520 "virgin" without root), i succeed to install the application but i can't find where it is installed on the system... (i need to add some files in the folder of installation...)
Anyone can help us ???

It's not an apk. I guess that's why it doesn't work for you.

Hi again, I know it's not an apk file, simply you have to change the extension .rar to . apk .

I must be then talking about another file, I just found there a .zip (not .rar) file with .xml and .png content only.
Concerning the rooting, I have de-rooted my Nexus 7 and will try again as soon as I find a working apk.

You can rename this ZIP to APK. I tried to install it and didnt work too.
Tried to remove my root, but the app always sayng same thing. "Dont work on rooted device"
Renamed and tried to install on (non-rooted) Nexus 7. Doesn't work, fails to install with a generic error.

ok i succeed to install that appication on my A500 rooted tab. By doing a "secret tip" i can execute it. i managed to locate installation file (with superuser right) in order to put a new database (1220)...like ipad crack... but something go wrong. I ve got worldwide airport but none charts...

Get rid of busybox and use voodoo rootkeeper
works on rooted tf300
software looks for "busybox", "su" and "superuser" in following folders:
sbin/
system/bin/
system/xbin/
system/app/
data/local/xbin/
data/local/bin/
system/sd/xbin/
The check is performed only on app start, if you can't install, then you have a corrupted apk file (the zip-apk one mentioned in this topic is faulty) or something wrong with the device.

All i did was use file explorer go to system/apps in root directory, uninstalled it since my custom rom made it a system app and then installed this one. For those who got it from google play just uninstall that one and install this one. Signing in and everything works. Enjoy .

and install Super user app
My device working normally when I rooted since two months but In earlier internet app, gallery and camera app not working.
Some day ago I delete the hangouts app from root. After this problem s are coming.
Then I copy gallery 2 from my rom and again paste it into root and overwrite on original app. Then it work bit two gallery and camera icon shows on my home page.
Pls help me bcs I think I destroy my device.
If any one can help me to get me my orignal nokia x with 1.2.4.3 update and only Google play store (not other gapps). Pls suggest me the process and link where I find all things.
