Yes indeed you can download atrackdog from the market and it should say version number you have and wether there is an update or not
Sent from Inc via premuim app
Menu/apps/all or running/market.... it will say what version you have at the top... I don't think all of the roms are setup to work with any market
Yeah my thoughts but like I said if you know what you are doing or at least make a back up of the old market apk just in case it forcloses or even a nadroid, it won't hurt lol

yeah looks like this is old news lol. CM7 has had 2.3.6 for a while now.
For those wanting to check your Market version, no need to download an app to do it. Just go Settings > Applications > All Apps > Market.
thx

I am running Cyanogen 6.1.0. It has the old market. I downloaded the apk you provided, then used APK Manager to install it. It reported the application was not installed and sure enough I still have the old Market.
Any ideas how I can upgrade?
Umm weird, it should overwrite the old market
Try deleting old market using root explorer the ln reinstall new market
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App
I did try delete the old Market using Titanium Backup, and it did delete it. Then I installed the new Market using several installers, but the installers all say "Application not installed".
Did you try to move the apk to system/app ? Then reboot?
Sent from my ADR6300 using XDA Premium App
I did and it just would not show up in my apps. Eventually I came across a file someone put up which I flashed and it did install the new market. So, I am OK now.
alrighty good for you

WOW. If you guys suffered the same as me, 99p well spent right there!
Now i dont need DSPManager though.... So how do i uninstall it?
Thanks
You can do it in Titanium Backup, pretty sure there are no ill effects, I used the Freeze option to remove it from my Nexus.

Hmm im relucntant to use Titanium, i remember cyanogen himself saying it was bad :/ Maybe im just paranoid
I guess you could use Modaco's Eezy Freezy, but I've not used that myself.
You can use root explorer and just delete the apk file. Think that's the best way if you don't want to use any other Apps to delete it. You can also use ADB to uninstall it.

i also removed the DSP with Titanium, it working fine,no problems so far after 1 month

If the dsp came with the rom and it's uninstallable through android's built in app manager then you can delete it in
/system/app
That's where all the system apps are. Make sure you mount /system first so you can delete an apk.

thanks i try it on my phone now it killed both speaker and headset bass asnt editable...
found this thread very helpful. I am running Beanstalk on my nexus 5 and was having issues with DSP manager. Any time I wanted to listen to music from my Google Music account I would get a "DSP manager stopped working" pop up ... and even if you hit OK it keeps popping for every song.
Here is how I fixed it.... used Tweaker 2 to uninstall DSP manager and downloaded an Equalizer from the play store. Works like a charm now. Thanks XDA community ... saved the day again:good:
i got hulu to work on my g2x. When you first watch a video, it may be distorted, just make the video bigger with your fingers to fit the phones screen, then it should be fine.
unzip the package. install both apk's to your phone with root explorer or file manager (im not sure if you even have to be rooted for it to work). then your all set to watch hulu. If it works for you, PLEASE HIT THANKS!
i got the modified 10.3 flash player from a thread here.
i got the hulu apk from another website.

It does work on cm7 as i am using nightly. if the video looks distorted when you first play, just adjust the hulu video player with your fingers. it worked for me.
if it works for anyone else, please post.
Is there any way the two .apk's can be attached or uploaded seperately for download? Neither astro or androzip would open any of the links I tried.
I found a hulu apk by searching the forums. Plays great. My issue is that a lot of the videos were "expired" but still showed up in search results. Other issue is that it doesn't seem to support landscape view. Kind of pointless to watch that small of a video.

download the zip to your home computer, extract, and place the 2 apk's on your sd card then install from phone. anyway, here are the links for the 2 apk's.
multiupload.com/SLQ6NYB4JX (flashplayer hulu fixed)
multiupload.com/EQY0FLJRJY (Hulu apk)
REMEMBER :::
1) If the video looks distorted on start, adjust the size of the hulu player with your fingers. you can make it any size you want. once you adjust it, you will be able to see the video.
2) If the video freezes during play, pause it then play it or go back a little bit on the video progress bar.
This does work as i have tested it. please tell if it works on other builds as i am using CM7 nightly.
multiupload.com/SLQ6NYB4JX

I downloaded both files from the links and downloaded them to my pc. I copied them to my internal sd card and then went to root explorer and launched each app. The hulu app installed correctly but the flash apk said failed to install? It asked me if it was ok to replace the existing flash app and I clicked ok. It went into the install and the stopped saying the install failed? Do I have to uninstall flash first and then install this one or am I missing something? Thanks!
Edit: I uninstalled the my original flash 10.3 then it installed the modded flash 10.3 without a problem! Works like a champ thank you!
Sent telepathically using the new "Mind Control" app on the market...Didn't believe it worked until I tried it myself!
Why don't I trust this? Oh well. Must be me.
I Just tried it and it dose work after uninstalling regular flash player first
All these views and no thanks? Hit the thanks button if it works for you

Link updated on first post
Those of you who had the dark-themed Market (i.e., PENDO’s dark-themed transparent 3.4.4 Market) and were saddened when Google Play updated over the top of your themed Market…. be sad no more. I did some serious searching and found the Inverted (dark theme) Google Play app that works on the Skyrocket Gingerbread. The suite of apps is by StyGian Studios and they just released a suite of Inverted Google Apps (Google+, Gmail, Email, Phonesky, Vending, Talk, Google Reader, Contacts, Google Calendar, Google Voice, Google Music, MMS, YouTube). It appears these are geared to run on ICS 4.0.3… I have only tested the Market (i.e., Google Play) on my I727-SR and it works brilliantly! I was able to update my purchased and free apps... and even made a new Google PlayStore purchase (for 49 cents) to test the purchasing functionality… everything works so far. I found these on RootzWiki (link below). This is version 3.4.7 (the same version Google just released yesterday and auto-updated to most of our phones... but theirs was the ugly ‘light’ version). Anyway, it works perfectly on my SR running Silver’s stock UCLA3 rom/kernel/modem. Apps are in CWM flashable zips. However, to be cautious, I opted to extract the apk from the zip and used Root Explorer to move to appropriate folder. Again, this is not my app… I found it on RootzWiki and credit goes to developer(s)… I just tested this on my own… on my Skyrocket… and it works! Here are the installation steps I took:
http://rootzwiki.com/topic/15092-in...pps-updated-3-7-new-googleplay-and-playmusic/
1) Make a nandroid of your current setup… just to be safe
2) Click on “Vending.apk” link on the RootzWiki link above (I believe the Phonesky.apk is geared toward ICS)
3) This will download the “InvertedVending.zip” to your computer/laptop
4) Extract using your favorite un-packer (7-zip, ALzip, etc) to desktop folder
5) Go to extraction folder and open system folder… app folder… and you will see “vending.apk”
6) Copy “vending.apk” to your phone (sdcard or external sd)
7) Now here is where you have to look in your directory tree and see where your current Play Store is installed… since PlayStore 3.4.7 just updated, you should find it in /data/app, and file name is “com.android.vending-2.apk” or “com.android.vending-1.apk”.
8) Rename that file (I renamed mine “com.android.vending-2.apkOEM_PLAYSTORE”)
9) Check your /system/app folder to see if you have a current “vending.apk” in there… If you do, to be safe just rename it (in case you need to restore). I didn’t have another vending.apk.. but do have the phonesky.apk in there… but as I said, I believe those are geared toward ICS.
10) Now, move the new “vending.apk” you moved to phone sdcard to: /system/app
11) Fix Permissions (using Root Explorer) to rw.r.r
12) Reboot phone
13) Put new shortcut on your home screen for Play Store
14) Enjoy!
Now… word of caution. If Google decides to OTA update again, it will most likely overwrite this Inverted theme again. But no worries… I’m sure someone will theme the update again… or you can just go back into /data/app and rename what Google puts in there and restore this Inverted theme apk.
Nice

It's always a challenge finding these themed Google apps... especially the latest versions... and this works perfectly on the Skyrocket.
Found a blue transparent themed Google Play in the Galaxy S I9000 subforum. Any reason this would not be compatible?

Sorry, dont mean to threadjack, but I didnt know if it would be compatible with our phones yet, so I didnt want to start a new thread about it.

Hi all heres the latest google playstore
3.9.16
Download: http://beta.androidfilehost.com/?fid=9390135922294521859
Google just started rolling out an updated Google Play Store version 3.9.16 that follows the previous version 3.8.17 from August. Good news, everyone - we've already got our hands on the APK for you to install manually thanks to our loyal tipsters.
What's New
The most notable and immediately apparent new feature is the long overdue ability to remove apps you've previously downloaded from the All Apps list. If you like to try a lot of apps, that list is likely very cluttered. With the new Google Play, you can trim it to your heart's content.
Update #1: You can multi-select by long-pressing any app in the list and then tapping more apps, then delete them all in one go (added 2 new screenshots demonstrating it).
Update #2: The new Play Store now keeps track of your location in lists, including My Apps and All Apps, so when you click into an app and back, it drops you into the same spot. I had variable luck with this, and it didn't seem to work in All Apps at first, but I just reproduced it on both the EVO LTE and the Nexus 7. Brilliant.
Update #3: The notification icon that shows up when you have app updates has changed, and notifications are now expandable. I've added more screenshots showing the differences.
The size of the Play Store APK actually went down, so Google must have trimmed some extra fat. We're still digging through everything
Thanks androidpolice
Finally! I wonder though.. will it decrease app download amounts? Obviously if people remove it, it wasn't something they liked..

What happens if you have the same Google account on 2 devices and have an app on 1 but not the other and you remove the app from the device that doesn't have the app installed?
What happens if you delete a purchased app? Do you have to pay for it again if you want to re-install it later?
working perfect..

Can't answer the first one, but I just uninstalled a paid app to test for you. When I searched afterwards, it shows up as a purchased app, so I think you'll be good on that front.

I'm on paranoid android 2.2 rom on my Nexus 7, I have gapps ending in "26" installed, which I believe are the gapps from August, and installing this gives me an error message "conflicting signatures".....I don't even have the play store under "downloaded" apps like you would normally find it, but it is under the "all" tab. It was suggested that I rename the apk to "phonesky" and copy it to system/apps, I don't even see "phonesky" anywhere in the files, it's not on my Nexus 7. Can someone please help me out of the know what I can do to get this installed? It's so baffling that a simple apk won't install.
I would appreciate any help at all. Thank You.
