Z3 was killed off by the carriers butchering the Tmobile.
I bought a Z3 just about right when it came out, and switched to T-Mobile.
A few months ago, I ditched the Z3, after months of going back and forth with TMO and Sony about why the TMO device wasnt getting Android Marshmallow..
But d6646 available on updates marshmallow ..
These two devices are the same specifications
I was disappointed, because I loved that hardware, and the waterproofing was great!
Too bad that Sony and T Mobile did a crap job with that device.

I use tmobile for a lot of my dev devices (n6,n5,g3, v10 and z3). It's always best if you can to get a global version of a phone if you can, but even my d6603 has been dropped by google.
Bought it directly from T-Mobile but just heads up, support has been dropped completely since Sony stopped supporting the D6616 version. Buy the uncarrier version if you are interested in getting updates.
Looks like FM radio in a few weeks for 935U. Chat below:
March 4th Correspondence with Samsung CHAT
You are now chatting with 'Mounika C'. The reference number for this chat is XXXXXXXXXX.
Mounika C: Hi, thank you for reaching out to Samsung Technical Support. How may I assist you?
jdfjunk: hi, i actually have a question about the 935U samsung edge. first are u a robot or a human
Mounika C: Sure, Jdfjunk. Please go ahead with your question.
Mounika C: Well, I am not a robot.
jdfjunk: how many toes do u have?
jdfjunk: i have to ask cause robots would not know lol
jdfjunk: btw that is not my question
jdfjunk: it is about the 935u
Mounika C: Alright!
jdfjunk: well i posted this today to samsung website:
jdfjunk: Pertains to Samsung 935U s7 edge as well as Note 4 and Note 2. Samsung is presenting the same models of phone with the same specification to consumers but giving different functions based on the carrier or unlock variants. People assume that these phones of the same model number should have the same functionality. In this case, there are many features and updates such as FM radio on the 935U that are not available but available on other carriers. This is a form of misrepresentation as it is not advertised as such. There is no reason for a consumer to understand these differences as Samsung has not provided any indication in their advertising or specifications that certain features have been disabled. This is a form of misrepresentation of product functionality as it relates to hardware that is the same but access has been selectively allowed in other variants while disabled in others. The responsibility is on Samsung as they are the suppliers and advertisers of the given product to point out differences of the capabilites of their product variants and deviation from such would be considered a form of misrepresentation. In this case, Samsung should provide updates as well as FM capabilities to the 935U and adapt their advertising practices going forward.
Mounika C: Please give me a few minutes while I review the information for you.
Mounika C: I appreciate your time and patience.
Mounika C: I have reviewed the information for you.
Mounika C: Firstly I should inform you that Samsung will manufactures the phones and hand over them to carrier.
Mounika C: From one carrier to other carrier the features may differ.
jdfjunk: I understand the process
jdfjunk: The 935U is not handed to a carrier but is managed by Samsung iteslef
jdfjunk: itself
Mounika C: As the carriers are directly selling the phones to you.
jdfjunk: This is not purchased by a carrier
Mounika C: Yes, it is an unlocked version.
jdfjunk: Samsung manages the 935U
jdfjunk: Not a carrier
Mounika C: Yes, you're right.
jdfjunk: Therefore, the updates/releases are the responsibility of Samsung which is why I am speaking to you.
Mounika C: Yes, it is the responsibility of the Samsung itself for the unlocked versions.
jdfjunk: OK. So please provide me information as it relates to the FM capabilities of the 935U.
Mounika C: Sure, Jdfjunk.
Mounika C: I should inform that as of now, FM capabilities are not available for US model phones.
jdfjunk: That is incorrect
jdfjunk: Other U.S. variants of the Edge s7 935 have FM capabilities
Mounika C: Yes Jdfjunk, I do agree with you.
Mounika C: The carrier versions have come up with the FM capabilities in the latest update to unlock the FM on the phone.
jdfjunk: The FM capabilities are available in some U.S. 935 variants
jdfjunk: Thus, the FM capabilities are unequally distributed across the U.S. 935 variants
Mounika C: However the exact information regarding the updates of the unlocked phones are not yet announced by Samsung.
jdfjunk: But the hardware is the same
Mounika C: I am very positive that they will include the feature on the phone.
Mounika C: I will report this from my end to the dedicated team also.
jdfjunk: At a minimum, Samsung should provide access to this hardware promptly. What is the timing?
Mounika C: It will be released very soon, however the exact date is not yet announced as it is released in batches.
jdfjunk: Very soon? is that days or weeks or months or years?
Mounika C: It will be released within few weeks as it is already released with the carrier versions.
Mounika C: In this case, I will help you with the contact of the Voice team with you.
jdfjunk: What is the Voice team?
Mounika C: Once you contact them, they have the access to contact the development team and help you with the approximate date of release.
Mounika C: As we deals with the technical troubleshooting of the phone, we have limited access to contact the development team.
Mounika C: They are the team reached over the phone and have the access to different teams.
Mounika C: Shall I share the contact with you?
jdfjunk: yes please
Mounika C: You can contact our voice support at 1-888-987-4357, Mon-Fri: 7 AM - 2 AM (CST), Sat: 9 AM - 10 PM (CST).
Mounika C: The number is toll free.
jdfjunk: I would also like an email address.
Mounika C: Sure, I will help you with the email also.
Mounika C: http://https://contactus.samsung.co...rmmail/mail/MailQuestionProduct.jsp?SITE_ID=1
Mounika C: https://contactus.samsung.com/customer/contactus/formmail/mail/MailQuestionProduct.jsp?SITE_ID=1
Mounika C: You can reach them over the above link also.
Mounika C: If there was an option to contact them from my end, I will be the first one to do it for you.
jdfjunk: There is also no way to select 935U from any of the product selections on this website or on the links you sent me. Can they add the 935 U to the list
jdfjunk: it only shows by carrier
Mounika C: Yes Jdfjunk, you can report them regarding this issue also.
Mounika C: I will report from my end also, so that they can add the model on the links.

perhaps your faith is too low. looks like we have an update on fm radio with nougat update
according to the samsung community forum from userXdnT4mY1rA :
Samsung has finally enabled the FM radio chip on the G935U in the latest update......
i would be interested to hear from others who have got it to work with the nextradio app.
I have 935U (Rio edition) on T-Mobile network and installed the update today. FM radio works perfectly fine using NextRadio app. Just needed to plug in the headphones to act as antenna.
I can confirm that Next FM app works with 930u with July update (g930uueu4BQF3 for XXA).
I’m in NZ, so no advanced station listings (as you'd expect in Europe, Asia, or the Americas) but basic tuner is fine.
On baseband OG935UUES8CSA1 (ATT phone) nextradio seems to think it's working, but no sound.
I bought this phone from **** Smith which is an online shop that has been bought out by Kogan a year ago and although the store is in Australia, the phone seems to be imported from Korea. When I turn on the phone I get a Korean Telecom logo on boot along with the Samsung logo. I knew that wasnt normal for a phone that was bought from an Australian store but I let it slide, however, when I go into Bixby, I get Korean content from the Korean YouTube and I also get other Korean information. I hate having Korean content showing on my phone, is there any way to change it? Also, whenever I click on the weather app and just tap on the weather for the week, it takes me to a website which is a Korean weather website.

+1 for NeedleGames' reply - just download the Australian version of the sm-g955f software and flash via odin. The hardware is exactly the same.
Just remember though, you'll need to go back to **** Smith/Kogan if you ever need to use your warranty...

No need to get aggressive with him, he had a point. You should've known what you were getting into when you bought it.
If you say it has a Korean Telecom logo when you boot it up, it's the SM-G955N variant, only launched in South Korea, specifically for their carriers. No way to remove the bloat without rooting the phone.
There's a separate discussion thread for the Korean S8+: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8+/how-to/sm-g955n-samsung-galaxy-s8-korean-128gb-t3612058

Same hardware doesn't mean Odin or the phone is gonna accept the file for a G955F.
People really need to read up before they give out suggestions.

Read the thread I linked, you'll have to root your phone and get rid of all the carrier bloatware.

I had a similar experience to you, whilst comparison shopping on line I was given no cause to believe that the phone on offer by **** Smith Electronics was any different to that on offer by the other Iconic Australian suppliers such as JB HiFi, Harvey Norman or The Good Guys. My assumption was that the product was cheaper simply because **** Smith Electronics no longer has stores or staff to maintain. I never even heard of "grey imports".
So whilst I take the point made by Murtaza02 that we "should have known what we were getting into", its not unless you scroll down past the "also bought with this product" section and into the product description that you are alerted to the fact that this is a "direct import international version" (whatever that means to the non-suspecting consumer). And even if you do investigate further, the website states:-
"You may notice minor differences when compared with models purchased locally, however, all international models are supplied with an Australian compliant generic charger and are suited for use in Australia."
"Minor differences" ? The differences are significant enough to prompt savvy shoppers who deliberately purchase grey imports for the substantial savings that they can offer to turn around and go to a lot of trouble "flashing" the phone so that it "works like the Australian versions of the phone"
I regret my purchase with **** Smith Electronics AKA Kogan. And whilst I assume some responsibility for not having investigated the origin of the phone further before my purchase, even in retrospect, I feel I was never given any cause to do so.
In fact it seems to me that the whole DSE website is nothing more than a front for the Hong Kong based drop shipping company and the purchase procedure deliberately engineered so as to not raise suspicion in the mind of the consumer that the phone is anything other than a genuine Australian version.
On my further research, the $999 price point avoids alerting the consumer that this is an imported model by not attracting GST, and the "limit 1 per customer" in retrospect is a further prevention of the consumer being alerted to GST obligations and therefore the fact that the phone is a "grey import". DSE advertise "Don't pay $1345" (for the same phone is implied here). And they say shipping is "ex stock" and "1-2 days".
I really feel in the case where an Australian Iconic Business such as **** Smith Electronics is offering a phone for purchase within Australia that they need to make it clear to consumers from the onset and within the front matter that this is a "grey import" and differs from the "Australian" version so that consumers can make an informed decision and are not duped or fooled or led to believe otherwise.

Might be more to it than that:
The information contained in this report is based on internal mobile diagnostics and mobile erasure data collected from iOS and Android mobile devices that were brought into hundreds of mobile carriers and device manufacturers for diagnostics tests and mobile erasure in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia from October 1, 2017 to December 31, 2017. Diagnostics tests and erasure were performed using the Blancco Mobile Diagnostics platform and Blancco Mobile Device Erasure software, and the reports were stored on the Blancco Management Console. Mobile organizations can leverage this information to ensure a better customer experience and improve their response to mobile security best practices.

Wow, thanks, this is great news. I've been searching everywhere for a Storm White phone for the US, but haven't found a version I'm comfortable with for T-Mobile and AT&T bands. I've seen them specify those carriers online at various sources, but the bands supported hasn't been comprehensive with the offering of say version A.

Did it give you the option of Storm White or was it just the black? I'll be pulling the trigger on this phone, but don't want black. Thanks!
I just ordered the USA version from the Asus website but I'm still keeping the tencent version as well and I will be getting a new T-Mobile SIM card I'll be trying it out first on the temcent edition since T-Mobile now supports SA71 I know 5G will work on the USA version but I'll give it a shot on the other version and I'll report back later this week
