Try Bricked Kernel (AOSP version):

Tamcore also has a good aosp kernel. You can find it by going to his nightly page in vorbeth's opensensation thread.

How do you install it? I mean im used to installing kernel's by just installing from zip and selecting the zip file. this one gives you a bunch of options. what ones do I select?
simply let the most on recommed or default and give it a try...
Faux made a pretty good one as well. With bricked I starting having problems with a few games that worked while using fauxes kernel which is old as bricked iced the gpu which would make me think games would run better.

I had this rom but then removed it and now I want to go back to it but I can't find the addons that where in the post when I first downloaded the rom. It was one to remove nova launcher and one to get the stock aosp camera but they are all gone. I also can't find the sensation 1.5ghz kernel.

The kernel is in sebastianfm's thread for overclocked kernels, but 4.0 includes a 1.5ghz kernel.
As for the addons, there are updated versions scattered through the virtuous thread none really have any download threads so its just a case of reading and searching im afraid :/

here you go. make sure you have 4EXT recovery. its all the add ons. and make sure you install what it ask you.

Recently switched from HTC sensation to the one s and over their rooms contain 1.78 faux kernel. Its said to be from the HTC one s. My question is 1. Can I flash that kernal on my aopk rom? And 2. Would that possibly brick my device?
From what I understand the rom developers is that its very difficult to make the switch from 1.70 to 1.78.
Thanks again for all your hard work!!

Is a Ics bricked kernel for sense or a nonsense Rom.a orc bricked kernel is a sense kernel correct?could someone please explain how to tell the differences.
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA
No, I saw Bricked only for Sense.
For the difference I do not know the exact changes. Probably in the driver files and settings for HTC made stuff.
Thanks that good to know so basically bricked kernels are only for sense roms.

Yes, correct. For more information visit: http://bricked.de/
That's not right I ran a bricked kernel on cm9 nightlies and that's a aosp Rom nonsense.

This does not mean that you can not run CM9 with a sense kernel.
I ran CM7 with a sense kernel and vice versa on my desire - but that combination was causing issues and depending on ROM - freezes.
But for the Sensation it is a bit different - I remember CM9 with the stock ICS Sense kernel running, so maybe bricked is universal, you should ask the dev

The developer of the bricked kernel has yet to release an aosp kernel... So if you infact did flash his kernel on an aosp ics rom then it was either his aosp gb kernel, or his sense kernel! Either of which will likely not have full functionality! So you come here and asked questions and receive the answers and then tell us we are wrong...
I'm sorry I was not aware that you can run a sense bricked kernel on aosp roms sorry.and that's for the information.

Is it true that a Irc kernel is a sense kernel?what does Irc and gb bricked kernels stand for?and as of now bricked kernels are some what universal.

Has anyone had the same problem.I was running cm9 nightlies with bricked kernel 3.0-v1.1 badass kernel that tops out at 1944.I had it set at 1.512-1.782 and it was so slow I couldn't even get 2 mbps downloading speeds.my sense Rom with a faux kernel gives me 9.90 down and 2.75 up.I can't figure out when the barebones cm9 nigjtlies Rom was so slowwww...

If think you need to go back to thekernel thread and read where it says it is for sense based roms... This is the 4th or 5th thread you have started today asking about bricked kernels and it is getting out of hand!
Please keep all your questions in one thread rather than opening multiple threads...
I completely understand and I apologize.

What do you think? What's the best choice?
Thanks for all answers.
EDIT:
No sense rom plz ;p
hi i 've try the miui last version(official kernel), paranoidandroid v20 (official kernel) and the vipers 1.4.1 (sebastian kernel), and the winner is ......
:good::good::good: VIPER ROM !!!!!!!
U could use kernel tuner to change ur governor to a more battery saving setting. Like conservative for example.
Heres the link if u dont have it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1719934

+1 on Paranoid v.20
Seems like a pretty good ROM - better experience than bruce's november-builds.
I wonder if v.21 is worth the update. No issues so far, just slow until I changed the governor from ondemand to badass.
*edit*
Actually, turns out v.20 was still painfully slow after running a few apps. Just upgraded to v.21 - it has been running perfectly so far.
