[Q] HTC One X root (SuperSU ?)

Hello I recently followed the instructions on the forums for the HTX one X(US) 1.85 one click root. After following the screen i was met with the root was successful text in the command prompt, cool. After the phone rebooted i checked to see if the SuperSU icon was there and it was but when i click it it says "There is no SU binary installed, and SUperSU cannot install it. This is a problem!"
Did i screw something up when i tried to root?
This is why I don't prefer a tool to do my job..I like manual better..

[Q] MaximusHD Install help pleeeez

Thanks to LLabTooFer for this impressive ROM.
A little more help is required to get this installed on my HTC One M7.
At present I have RevolutionHD installed on the HTC One M7 it is rooted and unlocked via HTCDev.
I have downloaded the MaximusHD ROM copied it over to my SD card and installed it via recovery>install zip from sd card etc. USB Debugging is enabled. Install goes ahead and finishes with a fresh new 4.3 update.
Here's the but, MaximusHD is provided as rooted but after my install I lose root. If I use Root Checker from PlayStore it tells me that I have no root access and that it is against Google policy. This message appears in a band at the top of Root Chacker display.
If I now go back to RevolutionHD, (good job I backed up) root access is granted and shows via Root Checker.

[Q] Root android 5

Hi guys
I have one E8 (m8sx) build 709 , yesterday I get update to android 5
and now I want root my phone , tell me how can root my phone
Try Framaroot, you dont need a computer and it installs in a matter of seconds. Open up Framaroot and select an exploit (if one doesnt work then try another). Then run Root checker basic and it hopefully will say it has root access.
Sent from my GT-I9100
Use latest supersu, flash from twrp recovery.
Your device should be unlocked first.

Trouble rooting HTC M8 with Marshmallow

So... I broke my old Verizon M8 that was rooted. Got new one and upgraded it to 6.0.
Now I am trying to root it and get s-off.
From what I remember and my notes I need to temp root it with KingRoot, then use Sunshine to get s-off, after that I can install TWRP, and after that SuperSU binaries for permanent root.
I followed these steps
factory reset,
Installed KingRoot
did RUU using DOTTAT_VZWM8_M_S_ON_6_0_RUU.zip
Enabled USB Debug
Enabled High precision GPS
Enabled Mock location (set it to KingRoot)
Now I am running KingRoot and it keeps restarting at 18-20%.
Anything I am missing?
Did I had to do it with Android 5.0 and I can't root it with 6.0?
Thank You
UPDATE: So I guess Sunshine can now temproot it self. I installed it, it updated to latest one, was able to gain temp root, and now I am S-OFF and boot loader unlocked.
Moral of the story: RTFM.
