[Q] home, menu back calibration? - HTC Sensation

Hey guys, so for no decent reason my sensation has been a bit 'spefial' recently. Crashing and being non responsive.
I've wiped everything, formatted the sdcard and installed everything back, crashing has stopped and its behaviour is as before, except the 4 touch buttons at the bottom of the screen some times don't work. They often cause haptic feedback but the is doesn't go back or bring up the menu.
I've tried several roms and kernels but it always does the same. Is there anything I can do? Calibration maybe for them?

Hard Keys Not Working & Volume Rocker Acting Crazy

Hard Keys Not Working
So, I searched and searched, but couldn't find anything that addressed my issue, so here goes...
Yesterday out of nowhere, the hard keys on my ATT Fuze just stopped working (Home, back, call, and hang up). Also, when I press my volume rocker it not only causes the volume screen to fluctuate wildly and not really do anything (but make lots of noise), it also makes the battery screen and the camera program open...
I've done a hard reset, a soft reset, and I have reflashed my old ROM (RRE21725 V3) and just flashed a new ROM (RRE21725 V5). Doesn't matter what I do, the hard keys still won't work and every time I reboot, the volume window opens and flashes a lot, the camera program opens, and the battery page pops up.
I'm going crazy and am finding my phone a bit unusable.
This hasn't happened up until late yesterday. I've never dropped my phone or gotten it wet. I just purchased it back in March.
Help, if anyone can.
hello, sound like the phone itself, i sent mine back about 3 weeks ago, same problem. you can try and flash the att rom, new one is posted on htc's web site and see if that works.
lupe
Installed anything recently?
have you tried a reset (soft/hard)?
Put a new screen protector on recently? (might be activating screen elements.)

[Q]Keys not working..help needed asap :(

Hello,I bought a HTC Desire S around 4 months ago.
From past 2 days i have lot of problems with it.
1.Home screen button not working
2.Q,A keys are not working while typing(they work when i rotate the screen)
3.Wen i rotate the screen and start typing the whole keys on the least bottom dont work.
4.Sometimes if i press back key it goes to selection option...sometimes whole phone hangs.
5.Im not able to download from market...after i click download it shows downlading icon but it never starts download.
I made factory reset for couple of times but no use.
Any one have some suggestions?
numbers 1 to 4 seem like some sort of problem with your touchscreen... Have you tried wiping it with some clean cloth after breathing on it? My back button has some issues registering touches once in a while, but wiping it helps always
Regarding 5, I don't know really, but have you tried using the webmarket?

ya i tried wiping it but not working
Does the area where your Q and A keys are when in portrait work when the keyboard is not on? Can you use it to click items, scroll webpages etc?
One other thing you could try is the calibrate option for the keyboard. (somewhere in settings-> languages I think, it's been a while since I ran an Sense ROM).
If both yield no result, it sounds like a hardware issue to me, and you might be best of to invoke your warranty.

Unresponsive screen

(Currently on 2nd s5) Have noticed a few occasions where neither home nor power button will wake. Only soft keys light up. If you touch blank screen you still hear touch sounds. But results in having to pull battery. S5 is NOT rooted, and only a very small handful of apps installed(Facebook, xda, dropbox, Amazon). Thought was a bad hardware issue, thus why I replaced phone. Only to see issue still remains. Any suggestions? I've factory reset multiple times on both phones. Did however carryover sd card from s3. Would wrong that possibly fix?

After your factory reset try not loading anything else on the phone, just leave it flat out stock with your contacts only and see how it goes.
I've not seen it and if you've had two do it now it's probably some app conflict.
Could be SD card also, but rare chance. I say could be because it could have an issue and be keeping the phone busy else wise but I doubt. I think it's probably some type of app or setting conflict.

[Q] Touchscreen freezing randomly - please help!

Hi, I've been using ViperS 5.1.2 for some time now on my Sensation XE, and it used to work great for me. But since a few days I've got this really annoying freezing problem and I just cannot find a solution.
The touch screen just freezes without any reason, sometimes after using the phone for half an hour, but most of the time within a few seconds after unlocking the screen. When it freezes, the screen won't respond to anything, also not on the back or home button. If I use the on/off button though, the screen will respond again for one or more seconds. This happens randomly; a lot of times I can't even unlock the screen properly, and the rest of the time I only get the screen working normal for a at most 10 seconds. This way it can take a few minutes just getting to the settings menu, for example. The phone does not report any error; after using the on/off button it just goes on where it froze. Also the phone reacts to tilting the screen. Or when playing a video, this just keeps playing normally. So it seems to be purely the screen itself...
I tried a lot to figure out what could be the cause of this problem: uninstalled a lot of recently installed or updated apps, checked the amount of free space/RAM, cleared cache, Dalvik, used nandroid backups to return to a previous (in the past good working) state, tried if removing the sd card would make any difference and finally flashed the rom again. All to no avail; the problem keeps occurring. At first, after trying out a possible solution like the ones I've mentioned, it looks like this did the trick. Sometimes the phone appears to work normal for at most half an hour. But then the problem occurs again, and will at that point occur at a high frequency.
I am out of idea's right now and am getting quite desperate. I need this phone to work properly badly, as I will go on my vacation in a few days and really need to be able to use some of my apps then. So I do hope somebody can help me out here? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, does not make any difference. I found today that the phone is now also acting strange in clockworkmod recovery touch, that's for the first time. Can't properly use the touch screen there either any more, only with hardware buttons. So now I guess this should really be a hardware issue. Maybe the phone is just dying...
Yess its a common thing for our phone to act that way while charging.... It has somtheing to do with its poor grounding. You can find threads to help u with how to solve it.

[Q] Touchscreen Problem

Hello, I have a problem with my xperia C recently
few days ago, without any major incidents, my phone touchscreen gone nuts, screen sensitivity dropped, i almost need to touch 3 times at the screen to open an app, and then, a little of my left side touch screen did not respond to touch at all, I tested using show pointer, and it stopped right a bit left from return softkey
I tried everything, uninstalling, deleting files, no result, until I decided to update some of my apps, miraculously, the part of the screen that died, come back to life again
Then today, when I'm scrolling through my phone, suddenly the problem comes back, and again, left side of my screen not responding at all
tried reboot, uninstalling, updating, no avail.
I'm using stock ROM with latest update from last year, rooted, using link2sd, greenify and my free RAM is between 300-400MB.
I'm just wondering, is this a problem with my screen? considering it returned back right the last time, is some app causes screen to go nuts?
