hey guys,
does anyone have the link to download this firmware(Acer_AV041_A510_1.044.00_WW_GEN1)?
I am now using Acer_AV041_A510_1.073.00_WW_GEN1, and I realized that it has the screen responsiveness bug which mentioned by some users. When I put my tab on the table, sometimes it doesnt respond when i touch the back button on the bottom, and only will be problem-free when i'm holding the tablet.
I supposed this issue was not in the 1.044 version. new findings, or was it just me? haha.
help is much appreciated!
As it was the case with my tablet, this issue was also present in the old firmware

Hi guys I recently got my nexus s and started fooling around with it and I've noticed the very bottom of my screen doesnt respond to touch and while its a relatively minor problem it means I often miss type words. I am on rooted stock but have tried apex with matrix.

Restore your stock back up and see what happens. If it still happens, return your phone.

Just Flash It !!!
There is a touchscreen tester built into ICS Developer options. If there is no response at all after a quick test, try going back to gingerbread or something along those lines, with a full wipe in between. If there is still no response it's most likely a hardware issue. You'll have to either live with it or give samsung a ring (or possibly replace the entire screen and try your luck).
Same issue with gb and I've read about these problems before so I'm not the only one

any follow-up to this? what did it turn out to be?
this happened to me intermittently, recently. however, it seems to be a permanent thing now...
It can happen if you are not using original charger. Or touch dies. It could be kernel related too, but if you are on stock one and got this.. I would say it needs repair.

it may just be a lag in response due to busy state. have you tried waiting a minute or two when the screen goes unresponsive? the fact that it is worse with later os suggests it.

Do you have an aftermarket off brand phone case installed? Sometimes the edges of them hang over the screen and can trigger your multiple pressure points.

nop i havn't.. maybe it is problem of bootloaders? or kernel? no idea??
Just wondering if any of you guys are getting the same prob as me where the screen doesn't seem as responsive. As in when scrolling thru apps. Sometimes after scrolling, it will register the last touch point as a click. Also. When typing in whatsapp I can't seem to be able to press the send button without closing the keyboard. The touchscreen seems to be registering the touch points somewhat lower or higher than where I'm pressing. Thanks for any replies!! Even right now I have problems pressing the submit button without closing the keyboard :/

Did it start hapenning right away? Are you using stock kernel? What hboot are you on?
Nope! Have been using viper for about 3 plus months now. Since 3.2.4 I've been using those ota updates and haven't really done much. I'm running elementalX 6.5. and I downgraded the touchscreen firmware so that if I wanted to play ard with aosp I could. Am on 2.14 hboot
Try upgrading touch firmware back? That would probably be the easiest thing to try first.

Tried that. Still the same :S Im sure I didnt change anything settings etc. It just suddenly happened during usage :/
Next thing to do is a clean flash. I'm sure that will work, I don't see any way to avoid it.

Hi all,
I recently purchased a Galaxy 7.7 (GT-6810) tab but have noticed something unusual when scrolling in portrait mode. Whenever I scroll up or down a web page for example, the text and page will just slant and bend. When scrolling in all sorts of directions everything just seems to bend and there is some kind of wave effect if that makes any sense. As the begins to stop it appears to even itself out and becomes level. This seems to happen in some other applications aswell.
Has anyone else encountered this problem? Sorry if this has been answered before. Thanks for any thoughts.
Tom

Hi, on the day of purchase I upgraded the device to version 4.0.4 (ICS) from Honeycomb 3.2 (I think). I remember seeing this before the firmware upgrade but I thought nothing of it at first.
Mine is the same. On stock 4.0.4 and PA and CM10.1. Normal I think.

Hi, I have a problem with the touch screen of the Nexus: a few days ago I realized that a central band of the screen, more or less half an inch high, no longer responds to touch ... To understand, I attach a picture made with 'Position pointer ' from 'Developer options'.
I wonder if anyone has ever had experiences like this, and what do you advise me to do,namely if trying to change the screen, or maybe other most basic solutions (I've read on the web of people who recommend 'squeeze' the screen). Unfortunately the warranty has expired three months ago ...
Thanks in advance

Had the exact same problem with my old android phone, it was after a great fall... I assume that it is a hardware problem and you have to replace your touchscreen to fix it...
But its not a big deal as you dont use that part most of the time and also "auto-rotate" is always present to help you... And if still you cant touch some things then use VNC viewer...

I do not know if it can be somehow help .. The page is in Italian, use google translate .. It is said to 'squeeze' the screen, many people seem to have solved .. Do you say that is our case?
Thanks
