Hi, Following the requests here, I've wrote this application. Basically the application blinks the device LED every few seconds. The idea is to have some notification that the device is still alive. The application blinks differently depending on the status of the device.
Main features:
Including sequences for normal, low battery, no-signal, new message (Voice/SMS/MMS/EMail), Missed calls, appointments, wireless status (bluetooth and wifi), GPS status and charging level.
Almost all sequences can be configured via the settings application.
Sequences may include blinking the green and orange LEDs (in HD2 - may be configured in other devices), the keypad LED, vibration and playing a wav file.
If the radio is turned off or there is no signal, another orange blink occurs (in addition to the regular one).
When the phone is charging the orange LED lights constantly, every few seconds a sequence of green blinks according to the batter level occurs (20-40% - 1 blink, 40-60% - 2 blinks, 60-80% - 3 blinks and 80-100% - 4 blinks). If the battery is fully charged - the green led lights constantly.
Blink interval and length can be set via the registry. Different blink interval for idle mode and when notification exists (new message/missed call).
Running the link once starts the application, on blink sequence occurs. Running the link again runs the settings application from which the service can be closed.

Known issues
Custom LED id's are not saved to the registry in ver. 1.5.
It seems that there are some issues running "Dusk taskbar" or "SDKCERTS" along with Blinker.
Sometimes when the device is locked, the application stops working (until the device wakes up). After a soft-reset the application returns to behave as expected. I really don't know what instigates the problem or how to solve it... If anyone has a clue please leave me a message. Not solved, but might be better in ver. 1.1.
Update(16/4/2011): setting [HKCU\Software\Blinker\AllowUnattendedMode] to 0. Solved this issue for some. Also enabling "Don't suspend power" in S2U2 (under the advanced category) seems to help.
Update(14/5/2011): In ver. 1.4 a possibility to periodically wake the device, it seems that this solution might work around the issue.
gpobernardo may have found a solution to the problem.

Tested successfully on: HTC HD2 (Leo), HTC TD2 (Topaz), HTC Touch HD (Blackstone), HTC Touch2 (Mega).

Blinker can now use the notification system instead of directly check the Stores (thanks peterpan911 for the tip). This can be configured in the setting, under "Use WM Notifications".
Blinker can be configured to load on startup from the settings window.

Blink Sequences
The blink sequences for the different situations can be customized. The blink sequences can be edited in the settings application under the "sequences" tab or by directly editing the correspnding registry key. A blink sequence is composed of blocks separated by comas (white space is not allowed). The following commands are allowed:
G<#> Blink the green led for a duration of # msec.
O<#> Blink the orange led for a duration of # msec.
P<#> Blink the pad light for a duration of # msec.
C<x><#> Blink a custom LED (x=a,b or c) for a duration of # msec.
Pl<WAV file> Play the specified WAV file.
V<#> Vibrate for a duration of # msec.
S<#> Sleep for a duration of # msec.
L<#> Loop over the following sequence (until the "E" block or to the end of the sequence) # times.
E Mark the end of the sequence to loop over.
example:
G100,O100,L10,G25,O25,E,S100,O100,Pl\Storage Card\My Documents\SomeFile.wav
This sequence will do the following:
Blink the green LED for 100msec, blink orange one for 100msec, then it will repeatedly (10 times) blink the green LED (25msec) and the orange LED (25msec). then it will pause for 100msec and finally turn the orange LED for 100msec. At the end it will play the file "\Storage Card\My Documents\SomeFile.wav".

Configuration
All the configuration can be performed via the settings application. All settings are saved to the registry, under "HKCU\Software\Blinker". The following keys are available:
ForceUnattendedMode (DWORD), (0 = Don't change anything, any non-zero value = force unattended mode), (default = 1)
Allows unattended mode (another try to solve the unattended issue).
GreenLed (DWORD), (default = 1)
The LED id to use for the green LED.
OrangeLed (DWORD), (default = 2)
The LED id to use for the orange LED.
VibrationLed (DWORD) (default = 1)
Sets the ID of the vibration LED.
CustomLed# (DWORD) (default = 0)
Allows to define 3 more LED IDs accessed as Ca, Cb and Cc from the sequences.
WakeupNotification (DWORD), (0 = off , any non-zero value = on), (default = 1)
Periodically wakeup the device (another try to solve the unattended issue).
ACNotifications (DWORD), (0 = disabled, any non-zero value = enabled), (default = 1)
Controls weather Blinker shows notifications when the device is plugged to power source.
BatteryThreshold (DWORD), (default = 50)
Sets the threshold (in percent) for the "low battery" status. When the battery level falls below this value Blinker will use the "LowBatterySequence" (see below). When the battery level is above the threshold the "NormalSequence" (see below) is used.
BlinkByNotification (DWORD), (1 = enabled, any other value = disabled) (default = 0)
Controls weather Blinker should blink according WM notifications, or should check the state of the different stores. When enabled Blinker checks the WM notifications state.
BlinkDelay (DWORD), (default = 10000)
The period between blinks (in msec).
NotificationBlinkDelay (DWORD), (default = 3000)
The period between blinks (in msec) when there's a new notification (unread message/missed call).
AppointmentSequence (STRING), (default = "P500,L4,S100,P100,E,S200")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when there is an active appointment notification.
BluetoothSequence (STRING), (default = "S100,G25")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when the bluetooth is turned on.
FullPowerSequence (STRING), (default = "O25")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when on AC power and battery is full.
GPSSequence (STRING), (default = "S100,O25,G25,O25")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when GPS receiver is turned on.
LowBatterySequence (STRING), (default = "O25")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when the battery is below the BatteryThreshold (see above).
MissedCallsSequence (STRING), (default = "P500,S200")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when after a missed call.
NewMailSequence (STRING), (default = "P500,L1,S100,P100,E,S200")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when there is an unread email message.
NewMMSSequence (STRING), (default = "P500,L2,S100,P100,E,S200")
The blink sequence (see below) to use when there is an unread MMS message.

If the original author doesn't mind, I have made a small addition for those of us with Mortscript!
PLEASE NOTE: The first version I posted of this script had a small error, which wrote the registry entries as a STRING rather than a DWORD. This caused "Blinker" not to launch - due to an invalid data entry. I APOLOGISE for this - the joys of writing scripts after a long day at work. This is NOW FIXED, and tested on two different HD2s, and working fine.

Sorry for anyone who did used and suffered with problems!
Got it working.
I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstall, nothing. Still crashed with the erroe log I posted before.
Anyways, I decided to change my taskbar, so I uninstalled the Dusk taskbar, and SDKSert2015 (this was required for dust taskbar to work).
I rebooted.
I then reinstall 'blinker', launched, perfect. It works.
Very odd, but I don't care.
A job VERY well done, good work which is very handy and as you will see, more and more people will download and use it.

Just though I would share the following:
I change the blink duration to '100', an the blink intervals to '5000'.
I might even change the duration to be '60'.
I found this better as you can't mistake it for an SMS, Email or missed call notification. The longer duration makes it clear that it is simply the phone being alive.
This is not criticism, simple personal taste. Without our your app, none of this would be possible.

Yes it is very nice, but luckily just by chance, it fixed this app.
I reverted back to what I had before dusk. Brians Black & White. The text is more legible than dusk.

The blink duration was left by mistake... It does't affect anything... if you want to change the duration of the blink you need to edit it's sequence, if you want a blink of 60ms, change "NormalSequence" to "G60" and "LowBatterySequence" to "O60".
for detailed explanation on the configuration you can check the second post.
BTW, you can use a more complicated sequences other than just orange and green, this would make it even easier to differentiate from the normal (sms/email/missed calls) notifications...

New Version!
I have updated my mortscript so that ALL of the settings can now be changed from the .INI file!
You can now set custom "blink" patterns without having to use the registry! (I appreciate that its not a problem for most of us, but some ppl do not like to trawl thru the registry, so this makes life easier for those folks!)
Please see POST # 4 which has now been updated with a new .INI file, and a new v1.0 of the MORTSCRIPT file!

If you use File Explorer and COPY the executable (blinker.exe) from "PROGRAM FILES/BLINKER" and then PASTE SHORTCUT in "WINDOWS/STARTUP/" this will "autorun" the app each restart!

I just made a location and time based profile management app called Migrate (publisher Illuvation LLC). This is my first android app and it's free. It's supposed to be an easy to use app. Right now it toggles wifi, bluetooth and ringer. You can also add notes that pop up in the notification bar when you first arrive at a location or a time profile is activated.
I'm already working on new features but i want to make sure that the core of it(the location and time profile switching is solid on different devices). Post any bugs or features that you'd like to see to make this app different from the others. The UI is still a work in progress and I think I'm going to improve the notification layout.

Text to Speech improved
Added text to speech for all text messages. It'll tell you the sender by checking your contacts and read the message out loud.
Updated the app. Text to Speech no longer occurs during phone calls. The app will no longer override changes made outside the app until another profile is activated.
If you "exit profile manager" through the menu button, does that turn Migrate off? Should there always be an icon in the notification area when it is working?

Exit Profile Manager completely closes Migrate. Yes, when Migrate is running there will always be an icon in the Notification area.

I've found an issue. I have a profile set up to turn on Wi-Fi in a specific location (my apartment). When I left for work this morning it turned off Wi-Fi - good. But throughout the day Wi-Fi will turn on for a short amount of time regularly - I assume when Migrate scans for location. So far, in about 4 hours it's been on for 31 mins - and I haven't left my desk (work is far from home). Could you fix this bug? Thanks!

Working on a fix. It'll put it on the market by the end of the weekend. There's an option in "Settings" to not use the wifi when checking for location in the meantime.

Automated Device is an application designed to let you automate the behaviour of your device. It is based in rules. The user can define many rules to define the device's state in different situations.
A rule is defined by:
Conditions: When every condition (AND clause) o at least one (OR clause) in a rule is satisfied then the rule is satisfied. Examples:
From Monday to Friday, between 12:00 and 05:00 (Time-Date condition)
To be inside (or outside) my home (Position condition)
Bluetooth state is ON (Hardware condition)
Battery level between 0% and 20%
Incoming phone call
Incoming SMS containing some word
Power state, battery or connected
Screen state
Other rule is matched or not
Other program is running or not
Phone state (ringing...)
Calendar appointments. This condition is matched when current date is inside of the appointment and the appointment text contain a user defined word
Brightness mode
autosync state
Network type (GPRS, HSPA, CDMA, LTE, etc)
Device connectivity state
Headphone state
Car mode
Dim state
Wifi hotspot
To be connected to a wifi network specified by its name
To receive a SMS/MMS comming from some phone number or with its text containing some word or phase
Ambient light
Ambient temperature

Some phone number is calling you (ringin), or is in call with you, or just called you

Actions to be executed when the rule passes from unmached to matched: Actions to be executed when every condition is satisfied. Each one can be applied once or periodically while the rule is matched Examples:
Set Bluetooth OFF
Set device volume
Launch a program
Kill a program
Apply a profile. A profile is compound by actions. So when the rule applies a profile it simply execute its associated actions.
Set different kinds of sound levels (system, notification, alarms, etc)
Set Brightness mode (automatic / manual) and bright level
Set autosync state
Play a song
Send SMS
Send Email. You can include many variables, like free memory and disk, last caller, battery statistics, sensors values (pressure, light, temperature, etc)
Car mode
Set wallpaper
Set ringtone (android ringtone or user mp3)

Play a system notification
Vibrate some milliseconds
Show popup message with free text and variables
Show a tob bar notification with free text and variables
Enable / Disable rules.
Sent variables (temperature, position, etc) to a web server as HTTP parameters
Open system dialogs, like 3G/2G, Tethering, etc
Actions to be executed when the rule passes from matched to unmatched. (The same ones like the above section)
The device broadcast many events, like battery level, time, etc. Those events are processed by Automated Device and the rules are evaluated.
Important: When a rule is applied then It wont be applied again until it doesn't satisfy it previously. For example, if a rule condition is "Battery level less than 15%" and the action is "Play a song" and current battery level is 10% then the song will play. But it wont play again until the rule wont be satisfied and then satisfied again. So if the battery level raises to 20% and then decreases again to 8% then it will play the song again. This avoid loops so a rule is executed many times.
Sections:
SWITCHERS: This window lets you change the state of Wifi, Bluetooth, etc. It also lets you set a time-out. When the time expires the program will set the previous state. It also lets you "lock" a profile with/without time limit. For example, if you go the cinema you could lock the profile "Silent". When Automated Device is locked it wont execute any rule
PROFILES: A profile is a set of actions. This section lets you define and apply right now a profile. For example, you could create the profile "Meeting". Its actions would be speaker to vibrate, flight mode and send a SMS. The three actions would be applied. You could establish a timeout. During this time the program WONT apply any rule. In this way the program wont apply other rule that could change the speaker state, for example. Once the timer expires then the engine will be enabled again.
NEW PROFILE: This dialog lets you choose a name and description for the new profile.
ACTIONS: Here you can choose the set of actions associated to the profile.
RULES: In this windows you can manage your rules and create new ones. If the background of the rule is RED it means the rule isn't met right now. If the background is GREEN it means the rule is met right now.
RULE INFORMATION: This screen lets you manage the name and description and shows how many conditions and actions the rule has. It lets you set the priority of the rule. If two rules match at the same time then this priority will solve conflicts. For example, if both rules are going to change the audio state. It also lets you add/edit/remote more actions/conditions.
RULE CONDITIONS: This screen lets you add / remove / edit conditions. There are several types of conditions:
WEEK DAY AND TIME: You can select some weekdays and then a begin time and end time. For example, Monday and Tuesday from 22:00 to 06:00
ENTER/EXIT A PLACE: You must choose a location and a radius. So if you choose a "Enter a place condition" then the condition will be met if you are inside. If you choose "Exit a a place condition" then the condition will be met if you are outside.
STATUS CONDITIONS: There are many conditions related with some hardware status. For example, you could use WIFI ON. This condition is matched when the WIFI state is ON
LOG: This screen shows the application log. Each log line has a category: Debug, Info, Warning and Error. Here you know what happens inside the program. You can see a rules history. And you can clear it and export it by email.
SETTINGS: Hare you configure the program.
Launch at boot time: If selected the the program will be launched at boot time.
Log level. This options lets you choose what kind of log events you want to store.
Automated Device enabled. If disabled then It wont process events.
Show icon notificacion in the top bar.
EXPERIMENTAL: Location autorefresh interval. By default Android doesnt allow location changes when the screen is off. This option try to fix it.

Thanks, I already know it. I use a gmail account to send mails but google is rejecting them because they are very far (Spain, USA). I am going to create web service in my web server. So the device will contact my server and this one will send the email

Isn't it just the fact that Google only accepts sending email when you, or I, log on to their smtp servers using a valid username and password? So if you are able to send the mail that way, the problem should be solved...

See what Google sent a few minutes ago. It's no related with user and password but an Gmail account sending emails from Spain usa France etc using the same account

It's high time to publish my first beta release publicly of my app.
This app is currently designed for devices running Android Marshmallow and newer, backwards compatibility to Lollipop is going to be added in the next update. There is no Intro yet - work in progress.

FUNCTIONS, ABOUT APP
The point is this app is to allow user to control when the hardware functions such as WiFi, Bluetooth etc are going to be turned off/on. In the current release there are 7 avaible functions:
5 for all devices, 2 for rooted devices.
In actions that contain "on/off" you have to specific exact action by clicking on the spinner to choose whether action is going to make a function on or off. If you don't do that, the default one will be choosen.
- Turn WiFi on/off: this sets up an alarm to turn WiFi on or off
- Turn off/on Bluetooth
- Turn off/on account sync
- Change screen brightness: 3 options avaible: dark screen, bright screen and custom value with preview avaible. You can modify dark and bright values in the settings (swipe from the edge right in the main layout of the app).
- Set loud/silent/ do not disturb mode: sets a specified volume mode
Root actions:
- Turn off device
- Reboot device
You will be asked for root permission, unless you give the permission action will not be either saved and performed.
PERMISSIONS:
In the first launch you will be asked to disable battery optimisation for this app, if you don't disable it may not work properly.
In the brightness section, you will be asked for allowing app to modify system settings - it's required to change brightness by the app.
Another permission you will be asked is to allow app to modify notifications - it's required if you would like to change phone volume mode (exactly do not disturb).
To delete planned actions:
There are currently 4 methods to delete planned actions, but the only one is to cancel the action:
- In upcoming events section, click on trash and then select items to delete and then hit trash one more time to delete
- Swipe left on item to delete
- Hit on the trash button, then click delete all
Those methods DO NOT cancel pending action
To cancel pending action:
- Click on an item you want to cancel, the editor will pop up
- Hit on the trash button, then the action will be canceled and item deleted.

I had a some issues in implementing repeat feature (likey in specific day) so current alarms are fired one time only.
So, currently there is no way to repeat alarms automaticly, only by creating a new one.
Anyway, I've added this to my todo list. I hope you will be able to use this feature by the next update

In regard to the ROM, nothing to say because it´s amazing. Been using this since Dec and have only had a black screen twice till date. With the stock Rom, i have this every week. So this is an improvement.
the only issue i have is my default music player 50% of the time dont automatically continue playing after waking up from sleep.

Like to give some infos and suggestions about the newest Mod 4. My headunit is a PX5 from Dasaita with 4GB/32GB. Originally bought with Android 8. Installed in a Honda HRV 2016.
Until now I've found some issues in this rom. Generally it's working really well.
radio app: the field for the RDS text is imho too small. No chance to get any info from this tiny scrolling text while driving. Better redesign the app and place the RDS text below the frequency band with full width (see screenshot).
radio app: in night mode the additional settings (stereo, local, FMx..) in the right circle, where the frequeny or channel name is visible, cannot be seen because the fontcolor doesn't change with day/night mode. It's the same darkgrey like in day mode (see screenshot).
screen saver: the font for speed and volume looks very digitally ugly (old style) and is hard to read. Better use the same font like for the time.
sleep mode. I used the auto sleep mode to get the fast boot up. But now I had to replace a 10 month old battery of the car. Seems the rom takes to much energy while sleeping? Can you check this to be sure it's no problem in the rom? In the moment I'm using the complete shutdown to avoid problems. Also other people mentioned this topic.

Mod is a modified factory firmware.

I've just had a look at your website and saw the below, which seems to suggest that this base version is free, but to receive updates, you must pay; that is all (OTA) updates are paid for - is that correct? Or will you be releasing updates here, without payment? Please clarify.

I agree in 100%. The radio player is a definite failure. I did not think that there could be a worse radio application than the one I had pre-installed, and it seems that it could be worse. In addition, the whole due to the low contrast between panels / fonts gives the impression as if it was created in low resolution.

On the russian forum is clear. This thread is just a replica of the russsian one ...but in english.
Only 4.0.0 version is free.
All the upgrades will be in form of OTA updates and only paying the 10usd (one unique payment) you can be able to get them.
If major update (like android 10) comes...I suppose he will create a mod 5.0.0 for free and OTA updates again by the same previous subscription (no other payment for 5.x.x upgrades if you were subscribed to 4.x.x)

This will be coincidence rather than cause. Was the battery flat at any time? Can leave my car sitting idle for weeks with auto sleep mode and the battery holds just fine. Auto sleep mode hardly consumes power.
Thank you very much for opening a thread where the px6 is included with this Rom, I have installed the full version and so far it is luxurious, until now and since I put it on, I have not observed any fault attributable to the Hal9k, I have a fault but it is hardware already that for a while and for no apparent reason, it crashes when starting, it remains in the cameras without any speed stuck in the car, then it returns with normal operation and occasionally the camera comes out again.

With version 4.0.1, I can continue to play audio even when switching to AV In. However, when I get out of AV In my SWC for skipping songs no longer works. Only restarting the unit fixes the problem. I'm on a PX6 unit for reference

Hi,,
"rk3368" is PX6... so you have downloaded the mod for PX6-Devices, but you own a PX5-Device. Download the right package, copy it to your USB or SD ans install
