Hero Signal Bars

I've seen that there are 4 status bars on some ROMS, which i like over the stock 6 one, it there a zip that i can flash from recovery or a metamorph theme which only changed the stock 6-bar signal bars to the 4-bar one?

Here it is if anyone wants it, it changes the signal bars to 4, and it replaces the EVDO data bars to 3g ones. Enjoy

I think that's a metamorph file. could be wrong tho

[Q] Where did my H+ go...?

Hello, I need help I am a newbie to Android, I switched from Iphone4, any way, I installed a new mod in to my Htc Inspire everything seems to be working just fine, But i notice that my H+ icon was replace with just an H, I any body can help me with this matter I will be grateful,

What are you using? Most ROMs don't have the plus. It's really just a trivial thing AT&T puts there to make you think you have a better connection, just because it doesn't have the + doesn't mean you aren't getting full HSDPA&HSUPA speeds.

Yea when I first had this happen to me.. I was like o **** lol.. now I have notice its back and forth 3g to h+ I got that speed test app and happen to test out when it was on 3g and then H+ H+ has some better connection but not to the point where its to get upset about lol..im talking about like 3g was 1.5 (ie) H+ 1.8(ie)
But if you have this issue you could reboot your phone and it should just reappear H+, but it depends where you are.

unless the ROM you are on doesnt have the H+ icon activated. it is an icon, nothing more, its indicative of nothing. it could say 3G and you would have the same speed as your magical H+..... there is so much confusion spread around here on h/h+/3g...its ridiculous. people freak out thinking their 'H+' is gone because its only displaying 'H' on the rom.....a quick speed test would show that you havent lost anything.

Flash Ingersoll or StarDroid. custom ROM's that still have the H+ and 5 signal bar indicator.
Just a suggestion if it means that much to you...heh...it did to me.

No H+ and camera sucks!!
I'm using Cyanogen7, and is Ok, but the camera sucks, is not taken pics on wide screen but crop, is there a setting for the camera to expand to wide screen?

LTE Icons.

Hoping for some help here...
After many tries with ICS ROMs, I went back to GB. and this time I installed TPC rom, from stability point it looks like what I`m looking for.
So Installed it and then flashed the 14 toggle mod from the i777 forum. Now my LTE/Data indication is not to the way I`m used to and liked. Is there a CWM ZIP file somewhere ? I searched, but so many things come up for LTE Icons...

Probably the best option would be to just pull the SystemUI.apk from your phone, edit the LTE icons and push it back with adb. Trying to find a CWM version of just the LTE icon that matches your ROM would be difficult. Most likely the CWM version would have more in it than just the LTE icon and could mess up other parts of your phone.

Well not just the LTE Icon, but the whole set, including the 4G Edge etc...

Ok so I used the SystemUI.apk from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19789193#post19789193 the Icons are still the same time, but they do say 4G instead of the H+ which is I guess ok, I didnt care much about that, I cared more about the look of the icon...

Help with listing ROMs with 2G/3G

Hi guys, could you please list the ROMs you are on and let me know if they support the following:
1. 2G/3G toggle
2. Working bluetooth
3. AM/PM in status bar clock
None of the OPs mention 2G/3G toggle. I am still on Zeus Beta, and want to change to a different ROM. Tried a couple, but they don't have the toggle. So posting here...

I can look into what it takes to add one, but I would have to lose the lidroid and hand code them all into the system yo. It can be done, one wouldjust lose the ability to choose the toggles they want and the ability to move them around.
Are there not apps on the market that would serve that function?

I tried to find, but couldn't find one. And I am on Zeus Beta now. I have customized toggles option, plus the option to switch between 2G and 3G. In the couple of latest ROMs I tried, this switch isn't there in network settings. I can give up on the lock screens for this, since the only one I use is the pattern lock.

What base build is Zeus Beta on?

Zeus Beta is on 2.3.6. Zeus Beta has it. And the one I just now installed Aeon 1.3.1 too has it.

This was forcing me from not moving to any other ROM in months..!! I was very skeptical..!!! But am now very happy I have both. I just hope the BT too works on this since that's a must *fingers crossed*. Thanks Qkster.

I have got it done on vagabond by replacing phone.apk from zeus 6 ics. Now i have 2g and 3g toggles under network settings ..
Thank you Dman. He has put really nice hidden stuffs in his Roms. Exploring and learning slowly :thumbup:

Aha... So its in Phone.apk, and not in libs. Good to know.
Qkster, probably you could use this in your ROM to get the toggle, if not there already.

BT works.
The catch is that after an overnight charge, occasionally, the toggle won't respond. It'll come back after a reboot. The other work around is leaving it on all the time.
It happens on Entropy's kernel but not the stock kernel...I don't know why, though. I've given up after restarting from scratch several times.
I think it's the kernel but I'm not sure.
I also attached a phone.apk from Zeus 6.0 for you. CWM flashable. Use on any rom you want to have 2g/3g option.

I got it QK, from your scripts thread. I installed it, fixed permissions, and it worked like charm.

Qk, one question: I think the phone.apk in the blue theme has the 2G/3G toggle. When I flashed 6 base, I didn't see that option, and so on went back to beta release.

that isn't a rom it's a stock themed with apps created and ported by others i personally don't like the user who "created" that "rom"
lol sorry i know off topic just saying he kangs work doesn't give credit and then tries to deny it. I actually called him out for kanging my work on the blaze had to compare it side by side to show him he did it lol eh anyways post another actual rom and i'll port it but no fake roms just my opinion.

Call me paranoid but whenever I see baseband unknown in screen shots for a ROM I get a little worried. lol

I'm pretty sure that if the data works with no wifi, the signal is not the problem, just the way that the Rom is displaying it

yeah, it's because it's a port from the AT&T skyrocket. some of the things don't work exactly right on the T-mo version, such as the display bars showing up, even though you still get signal.
This is common on all skyrocket roms ported to the T989
either way, it bugs me enough that I don't use ported skyrocket roms on my T989. plus, I need wifi calling, so only t-mo based roms for me
