MY Radio RIL doesnt match my BaseBand i get signal loss - please Help
i loss my signal and have to reboot to get it back
i didnt find any solution but i heard it could be an unmatching RIL & BB
so i download GetRIL app from the PlayStore and it tell me my RIL is Unknown
Please i search everywhere for information please help me fix this issue

but you are right it just was a measure of last resort
Get a free app off play called getril open it update the database in the top right and download & install the right ril

Hi all!
I was trying to figure out if this belongs to Q&A or Dev, but as it is development related I'll post it here.
I've developed an app which displays network info about an android device (Network Info II).
Problem is that I don't have (and can't have as I am in the UK) a CDMA device to test the app on.
Is there a way to get the android emulator to behave as a CDMA phone?
I haven't found any relevant settings anywhere and couldn't find anything on the developer's website.

I am asking if someone knows a way to get the Emulator to behave as a CDMA phone.

Try adding.
ro.telephony.default_network = 4
To the emulator build.prop. I don't know if it will work but that's the setting that tells Android to use cdma.

Tried it but the only thing it does is get the OS to look at the CDMA hardware for info, which doesn't exist on the stock emulator...
Essentially, the phone is still GSM but it won't Android won't report any antennas or providers, or provide a phone number...

I'm having an issue with GPS on the Nexus S. Navigation is stuck on "Checking navigation Availability" even after GPS finds a lock.
ROM: Bionix NS 1.1
Kernel: Trinity 1.3 v2
If anybody else is having this problem, post it here. If anybody knows of a patch or fix, please link it here.

Thanks for the heads up.
I had this problem an the only way i could fix it was finding an apk fir google maps 4.7 an installing that go into navigation an then go to the market an update to 5.0. That will fix it
manage applications in settings clear data in google maps reboot, open google maps FIRST then open navigation should do the trick

Sorry, first asked my questions in the wrong Section. I didn´t found real answers in the Q/A Section, so i just re-ask:
I updated my HTC Desire S with the following update from HTC Dev:
Desire S HTC WWE RUU N/A v4.0 404.0 MB 14.01.401.2
Update went fine so far. Or is the update above the wrong update for my german Desire S?
But the Device has some problems for now. I Installed whatsapp and when i follow links i geht per whatsapp the app crashed and i get an error message.
Any idea for that?
And another Question to the Browser:
When i start the browser he first loads the last site i visited bevor i quit the browser. But in the settings i set google as startpage.
Even if hard kill the browser with the task manager it reloads the last page i visited instead of the startpage.
Any ideas on that?
How can i completly wipe the device?

Also there are no answeres in the sticky threads in the general area.

For the WhatsApp 'Bug' - read this thread as it is not a bug, more a 'feature'

If i start an Link out of an whatsapp message i got the error, and the app gets killed.

The app associations bug (not changing the app links in the appropriate menu) has a simple workaround. Go to Settings->Apps->All-> look for the app that is currently linked as the default one and select it-> scroll down and hit clear defaults. Now you can set a new link in the Apps associations menu.

You found a solution yet without a "Custom Rom"? If there is a solution to this Whatsapp thing it isn't clear in the threads.
Why can't people post exactly where the solution is?

htcdev.com apparently have a guide to (root) unclock the bootloader... There isn't an option for Desire S so you'll have to dig deeper for that answer...

Because XDA is supposed to be a Mobile Development Forum - simply telling people the answers doesn't help them to understand anything and then when it goes wrong they are stranded and panic.

Anyone been able to get tap to pay working with Google Wallet on the final Gummy release? Everything looks like it's setup to work on Wallet, but when I actually try to use it at supported locations, it never works. I've got build prop edited so it allows me to keep tap to pay active.
Snapchat and Camera
Hello, I don't remember with which release but ever since the front facing camera on Snapchat is stretched out. Also I cannot open the camera app because it always force closes but I can use another camera app and it works fine. If someone could please help me I would be grateful. Thank You

I can only seem to find the M3 release. I know but the original OP that team gummy disbanded. It might be something a member has available but there website obviously isn't working
