I was playing around.. upgraded to the 2.3.4 stock, upgraded the baseband.. liked the Weapon X better.
Didn't work with the newer baseband.
Found the baseband fix that allows older roms to work with the newer baseband... except that my bluetooth doesn't work with calling now.
So.. How do I go backwards on the baseband?
I can't seem to find any info on that!
HELP!
Thanx..

ok guys im just got this device and i'm coming from the G2X and im confuse with every rom thread talked about radios. (yes i searched)
idk if you guys know but we dont use radios on the g2x!
and i dont really wanna brick my phone. ok i have the RevolutionHD 3.6.2 beats
and i have the radio that they talked about
right now im flashing roms to see witch one i really like but do i have to flash radios everytime i flash a rom?
and what the stock one?
thank you in advance
It's usually a good idea to not change Radio Firmware unless you have problems.
That said I don't understand the suggestion by for example ARHD to update to a specific radio version, but you'll definitely not need to change Radio Firmware for every new ROM. Once you have the latest and greatest you'll not need to change it anymore. (At least if you don't have problems)
great thanks for the quick reply. do you know witch one is the lates radio?
Hi lads.. new to p-920 only have it few days. iv flashed roms and basebands to my galaxy s2 time and time again witout any problems.. so today i rooted my lg and downloaded rom manager booted into recovery and flashed thiaiz03D v2.3..everything went fine the rom itself is lightening fast but just one problem i couldn't get any network signal just a red X wher the bars usually are.. the phones baseband was on L6260-MODEM-SIC-01.1042.00 witch i taught was the new GB baseband.. i did buy the phone second hand and it was on 2.2 froyo wit the new baseband i taught tat was bit strange.. any suggestions on how i can get Thiaiz rom working .. thanks guys ...

There is no option to update baseband via cwm, this is only solution so far.
I'm on gb and my baseband name is same as yours, but you need to flash gb baseband obviously.
Cheers.

You can flash an O3d baseband to the thrill? If so, which baseband is recommended for a gingerbread flash?
Thanks!
i use baseband from official v21a gingerbread and it is workin fine for me,no ghost calls or something like that.
you should flash official gb for thrill and then search custom roms in development section for thrill 4g.
Are roms for the optimus one compatible with the optimus t? I am interested in upgrading from stock to gingerbread or ice cream sandwich but I can't seem to find a straight answer anywhere online, including XDA...
Thanks in advance

Yes. Roms for Optimus one are compatible with Optimus T. You will lose WiFi calling though. There may be a few problems with the new baseband though, as mentioned here:

Any P500 rom that uses the old baseband will work flawlessly on the P509. In fact the only thing I miss about the official rom is the missed message notification on the lockscreen. CM7 is superior is every other way IMO. Once the bugs are ironed out with Oxygen, AOSP and andys Phoenix I think we'll have one of the best selections of Gingerbread roms available on any phone.
Official LG GB utilizes the new baseband. The P500 baseband does not include the 1700 spectrum. This represents half of TMOs 3g network (according to Wiki).
I've flashed the P500 baseband and had no major problems. However, weird things like the launcher only showing 3 buttons instead of 5. When my phone booted it up it took an extra few seconds before I had network reception. Battery life was slightly worse compared to Official froyo. I errored on the side of caution and went back to the old baseband. Also, the idea of only having access to half the available 3g towers was a huge turn off.
LG released the update for the Optimus One and considering Gingerbread is just a refresh of Froyo, I did expect an update. Since the Optimus V, P505, P506 and all other U.S. versions of the Optimus One haven't received the update, there's little hope and little room to complain. That doesn't change the fact that I feel I've been cheated.
My only concern is if LG releases the sources for the new baseband, will the great 01 devs start to phase out support for the old baseband?

optimus-t roms
I have the same phone and have tried many of the roms you can find here.
An excellent one to try is:
[UNOFFICIAL][ROM][stable:6.5.8,testing:6.6.1] CyanogenMod 7.1.0 (Android 2.3.7) by Mik_os no wifi calling as mentioned, but super stable w mostly everything working.
another good candidate is:
[ROM][10JAN] CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0-OptimusOne-KANG [.32][.35][BothBasebands] by adfad666
also [DEV-ONLY][ROM] CyanogenMod 7.2.0-RC0 Nightlies are coming along, I have run several builds, and they are very good, you need oldBBfix.zip for them to work with the old baseband (which is true with many roms if you get no data after flashing)
I'm currently running Lupohirp's very nice [Unofficial][ICS 4.0.4]CyanogenMod 9[LGP500] this rom is still being developed to fix a few issues, mostly camera, and various bugs, and with a little time and work from the devs will be the ultimate rom for our phones, in my opinion.
Have you rooted your phone already?
No the phone has not been rooted yet, it is an insurance replacement and the methods for rooting three previous phone don't seem to work

root & custom recovery
I followed this guide which worked as it should have:
http://forums.androidcentral.com/t-...t-recovery-rom-without-touching-computer.html
you will have to register to see the links, in my case it was worth it.
The custom recovery by drellisdee is the one that works right with an optimus t,
there are good guides here on xda too of course, just sharing what worked for me.
I'm looking for a stable rom with camera working and no major issues. btw im on old baseband
Got JellyBean for P509
hey man I don't know if you know this but there is a jellybean ROM from Rasheed on there. Let me try to link to you:

So, I've looked and looked, and found nothing.
I am on a basically stock G2x running stock 2.3.4. I have flashed CWM 5.0.2.0. So, how do I root? At this moment, I'm not worried about loading a customer ROM. I wanted ICS, but it looks a little too buggy for me right now. Regardless, before I do anything ROM wise, I need to root so I can use Titanium to do a full backup.
So, how do I JUST root without installing a custom ROM?

SuperOneClick also worked for me on 2.3.4. (Whichever tool you use, use at your own risk!)

Very important:
Before you go installing any ROMs you need to know you that your phone's baseband (sometimes abbreviated BB) is probably March 2012 (some refer to it as v21y baseband). You can verify by going to Settings > About Phone and scrolling down a little and looking for a month and a date in the baseband name (i.e. Mar 11 2012).
Here are a few of the many threads about the one problem you're going to have installing a custom ROM if you have a March 2012 (save kwes's modified 2.3.4 stock).

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1643702
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1603057
In summary: March 2012 baseband only works with 2.3.4 stock ROM and kwes's modified 2.3.4 stock ROM. If you flash another ROM you will not change the baseband so you will be stuck with a new and incompatible baseband that won't work with your ROM. The only way to change the baseband is to update using LG support tool. In other words, the only way to get a custom ROM problem-free in regards to baseband compatibility is to downgrade to stock 2.3.3 (which will downgrade both ROM and baseband) via LG Support Tool. All of the custom ROMs (including all of the ICS ones) work with, I believe, all of the 2011 basebands.
Nothing more nothing less

Thanks for the info! Looks like I'm on March 2012. Originally I wanted ICS, but the more I read about the issues, the more I think I should wait for the official release. The data drops would kill me, and I stream video a lot, so that would be out. Didn't LG say they would roll out ICS to the G2x in Q2 of 2012? I believe we are in Q2, woot! I just can't justify the risk vs. reward for a ROM change, unless you guys have suggestions... lol
Thanks again!
If you use the stock rooted kwes rom with that baseband you will have no issues at all...
Ive been running it for a few weeks and its as solid as rock...i have it OC'ed even and no issues ...
that baseband (march2012) has worked wonders for my phone...

LG has not stated the G2x would get ICS. The statement you are talking about it the European version P990 and has been move to 3rd Quarter now. I don't expect to get ICS as T-Mobile has EOL'd our device.
Howdy
I really want Android 4.2.2 but I've tried every ROM out there and same issue. I lose my cellphone service
I've been using custom roms on my phone for a while and never had to deal with radio issues before, I've been reading about radios/APN's etc but no matter what I try I can't get radio on a 4.2.2 ROM.
Help
AT&T Skyrocket
Thanks

You didn't say what radios you've tried. A JB radio does indeed work. But why 4.2? You'll have other issues until there's a stock ROM to base it on and work out the bugs.
Are you changing kernels as well? What radio are you on?
I'm running SoA 4.2.2 w/ stock kernel on the latest radio and I've not lost signal once. I have had baseband issues on other roms and with other kernels, but I don't know if it's related to those or something else.
