[Q] [GAME] Pre-Alpha - SHMUP!

Okay, Honeyrun has nearly hit 1000+ downloads of the free version (thanks all you xda downloaders). So I thought I would get your thoughts on what you would want from a 3D space shooter...
The principle is basically the same as Asteroids - but in three D - All say YAY!
A very very early screenshot is attached (buttons are definitely not final - I had them lying around from something else...)

Just in case anyone is interested here is a new screenshot, hopefully it gives a better indication of where I am heading with this new title...
Current state is that:
Level parser is working
Accelerometer Calibration is working
Menu System is partially working
Audio is working
I am now looking to increase the amount of craft/bonuses within each level before releasing an early beta on the Market for all to play.
Also I am looking at the possibility of having unlockable levels/content based on scores and accomplishments. We'll see...

also don't forget to try out Honeyrun HD Free, its a good way to lose ten/fifteen minutes when your bored !

I was really looking forward to this.
However, I am unable to make purchases with market...

Game. Accually shows up as $1.29 in android market... That's just sad...

Ah ha, an easy sale coming up - if you were to purchase the game you would see that it was made utilising the Unity3D engine along with the iOS & Android build licenses... oh and a lot of time effort and sweat

(app) Race Of Champions now xperia play optimized

Just had an update Race Of Chapions (Roc) by Invictus has xperia play support. You may have to change controlls in settings to xperia play pad but still not a bad racer.

Awesome find! Checking this out now. I heard some news that it'd be Xperia PLAY Optimized a couple days ago, but I definitely didn't expect it to happen that fast!
Now lets see if this brings something to the table that Asphalt 6, the Need for Speed games and Raging Thunder 2 didn't.

Go to settings, then Controller, keep scrolling right on the controls and you will eventually get to controls for hardware. It uses the buttons and the Dpad for control.
Been trying this and I like it, nice graphics, cars handle pretty nicely too.

can any one share the game data.. ?? its taking forever to download.

still doesn nothing for me. all 4 options still use the screen. of i press the "o" button it brings up the start menu thats about it

Amazing fame this , only just seen the post and downloaded it straight away , optimised for play already , can't get over the gameplay and graphics ..... I knew something good would come around for my phone.

You must have missed it, go to settings, controls, in Control style swipte it all the way to the end (left), you then see the option Gamepad Control. That works on the play and works for me.

This game is awsome. The best racing game on a droid. I LOVE IT!! Very well made.

I Jane 4 different styles and game pad isn't one of them there are no words just 4 wee images. You also say swipe to the end. You can't swipe. Only hit the wee arrows. Maybe its giving me an older version but I'm downloading from market do doubt it

Megatroid working with Xperia Play controls...

Just to let you guys know free game MEGATROID by Triolith Entertainment AB works with Xperia Play's slide out controller despite claiming to be non compatible with our devices on Google Play. The controls only work in game but are perfect, whilst menu selection is touchscreen (which a lot of optimized games do anyway). It's a combo of Megaman and Metroid and a nice little time passer...enjoy!
...Oh and if you switch the controls to 'Tablet' in options they're are hardly visible on screen

You'll have to go onto a forum like (Market Militia) and download it from the 'Free' games section. Since it's a free game I figure downloading it from one of their links is fine

Weird, it gave me zero complications just downloading it from the market.

Makes sense as my Xperia Play is R800i. No need to spoof myself now as I already have it. I'm assuming it's an error that will be amended shortly.

Game is really damn fun I sure do hope everyone gives this a shot.
BTW, I contacted the developer about seeing if they'd add an option to hide on-screen controls completely (and add the one-liner to the AndroidManifest.xml so that it shows up in the Game Launcher).

I heard it uses a freemium model, is it playable without paying at all?

Haven't had a chance to go through it at length but it would appear so.

Could you please give it a try and tell me what we should do to make the game better for you? I would greatly appreciate it!
To make it short, it's a word puzzle with lots of power-ups, available in almost every language and for almost all mobile platforms (iOS, Kindle, Nook - we'll publish those soon) with multiplayer as well as hot seat mode. The general idea is you can battle with up to four of your friends in any place and on any device. Power-ups as well as character abilites are there to force you to come up with a strategy for winning.
Anyway, please enjoy!

We've managed to fix all the bugs that we could find, game's using device memory better and overall works much faster. Please update the app!

Thats cool but
1) Glu have something agaist Sony and no Glu game after hells bells Version 1.0.0 have been listed supported for any Xperia we own (our site), including the Xperia Play
2) Avengers Initiative is only for ICS and up and mostly only for Tegra 2-3 (Have tried this on an Asus Transformer and is broke. Crashes before you can play check out the market comments hardly anyone has got it working).
3) Captain America is very old (came out when the play first came out). I think back in the day it was Xperia Play Optimized but no longer is.

He's posting games to make people aware of them. The game would be awesome if it could get optimized, in that case, if it has more Xperia Play supporters, then the developer might be keen to actually optimize it. If only one Xperia Play users is asking for this feature, chances are, the developer won't do anything about it. And if that's not the reason, maybe he just really likes the game and wants to share it with the community, is that so bad? Who cares if it's not optimized, if it's a good game, I'd like to know about it.
