Try to install some battery monitoring app (badass battery monitor for example). At least you will see what's sucking all the juices from your battery.
Display uses most of my battery ( It uses 90%)

I got the same problem after flashing to early 4.0.4 build.
Hotmail sync was the issue. Try to do a full reset and don't restore a backup. Just to see how it goes.

I don't think so. It seems like that problem is gone now. I don't know what happened but there was no signal about an hour, the battery drained 30%, and then the signal appeared and the battery draining became slow. Now everything is okay.

Good to hear that. Bad cell signal and wifi connection drain battery more quickly.

Hi everyone. I installed the deodexed version of the JB leak the other day. I've been having crazy battery drains, so I installed gsam battery manager. At 90 percent charge, media has caused nearly 30 percent of that 10 percent of total drain. I haven't played any music or anything like that. Can anyone help me stop this drain? Thanks!

Please someone tell me how to increase battery life on samsung galaxy s3 GT-I9300 ????
I am running on android revolution hd 17.0 ( custom rom ) on my s3 . AND battery life is too bad just 5-6 hours is the timing of my battery !!
So anyone can resolve my issue ?? Plz help me

Something wrong. S3 should easily last a day. Most likely your phone can't get to deep sleep, because of some app. You can try to find which app went bezerk with BetterBatteryStats app
Only idea i have is brightness and if some application is draining your battery

Brightness and the autosyncing that's going on in the background.
Also download amd try fastdormancy from store

It really depends on what you're actually doing with the phone in those 5-6 hours. It's reasonable to even hit 0% depending on what you're doing.
Look at your battery stats in the Settings Menu and get something like BetterBatteryStats. Find out why your battery is draining. If it's something you don't want - fix it.
Hi, I'm rather new to android and I recently bought an anker battery from amazon since my stock battery was draining battery really fast. However, I other than the first day if usage where my battery life was really good, I've realized that my battery isn't doing very well now. Light usage of the internet will cause a drop of abit 1% per min. I've searched threads and have downloaded GSam battery monitor.
From the app, I found out that most of my battery drain was due to "Kernel (Android OS)". Here are my results. I would appreciate it if you guys could take the time to help me find out what has been causing this battery drain.
I don't have any other apps open btw.
Thanks a bunch!
ps: typing this post drained 6% of my battery.

Hello Guy . Im using The Carbon Rom 4.2.2 on my Verizon S3 .. Over All I love the ROM , but like Any ROM I use my Battery life Will be Gone with in an Hour if I use it frequently. just in a 20 Mins I Went To 100%-89% with Brightness As low as it can Go . no WiFi. No GPS . No Sync .. I don't think that's Good Enough .. Who can help me and save my Battery Life
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
Disable the sync if you dont want it. The account sync will stop decice from going to deep sleep.
Thanks doesn't hurt....
I think normal
Do y'all think its Dying a little To Quick . I might get 1 And Half each life
Sent from my SCH-I535 using xda app-developers app
I would try a custom kernel that lets you change clock speeds when the system is off. Right now you have 28% battery drain. I usually have anywhere from 2-9% with the phone of most of the time. A custom kernel will also allow you to change govoners and schedulers which can sacrifice some performance for bettrr battery life.
I couldn't upload pictures but on clean rom 6 running ktoonse kernel I got 6hrs screen on time 13.5hrs up time and a 6.4% battery drain. That's with a 4400mah battery so you should be able to get at least half that time with heavy use (my stats are at heavy use) and that only ran my battery down to 30%

Tap on the battery graph and post a picture a screenshot so we can see what's causing the wakelocks. Thats a pretty solid linear blue line you have there...

Thanks Guys For the Help . I been Looking for a Custom Kernel .. But I'm not sure which one to go with .. Can anyone point me to the Right Directions ..
