[Q] Unable to access SD card after flashing MIUI - AT&T, Rogers HTC One X, Telstra One XL

Hey all -
I've done a fair amount of reading regarding this issue, to no avail. My programming knowledge is limited but I do have experience rooting and flashing ROMs on another device. Anyway....Rooted, unlocked bootloader, flashed CWM 5.8.3.1. Following this, I downloaded MIUI.us v4 2.6.22 ICS on my SD card, factory reset, and flashed it via CWM.
Seems to work alright, but I cannot access my SD card from anywhere. MIUI won't recognize it, CWM says it can't be mounted. I somehow created a partition on the SD through CWM, but it did not help. I tried re flashing CWM, with similar results. Not sure as to what the next step would be - re flash MIUI, relock bootloader/flash stock RUU...? Any help is much appreciated.
Thanks

One x doesn't have a memory card..if your unable to access your inbuilt storage....to fix this...relock your bootloader, flash ruu, you should be good then

The built in storage is still seen as an sd card by the OS. That's why its path is /sdcard.
But yeah, the first thing I would do would be to relock your bootloader and run an RUU.

[Q] HTC one accidentally factory reset/wipe from bootloader

I think I may have screwed up pretty big, but hopefully someone can help me out. I unlocked the bootloader on the HTC one, was trying to install the updateSU.zip but it was not showing up in the SD card in clockwordmod. I accidentally did a factory reset and now I can't get passed the HTC logo screen and I don't have anything backed up. I can still get into clockwordmod but I'm not sure how to undo this. I have tried searching about similar problems but it gets confusing on other phones when people start talking about external SD card slots. I think I can still side load roms through the all in one kit, but I am not sure. Any help would be much appreciated, I am so sad!
If you can access the recovery than your good. All you have to do now is to flash ROM supported by the installed kernel or flash another kernel and ROM.
If you're aiming on recovering some data then I'm afraid I have to burst your bubble because factory reset wipes all user data.

Alright, thanks for the reply. I am not concerned about user data, I just want to be able to use the phone at this point. I am not rooted yet, I can't seem to install the zip file. Would I be able to flash another kernel and ROM? or do I have to wait until the factory RUU is available?
You can try flashing a custom kernel and a custom ROM. If you've successfully unlocked your bootloader then you should be able to do it without any trouble.
Also how do you mean you can't install a custom ROM from the SD card? Does it write out any errors?

I can't install a rom from the SD card, when I look into "install zip from SD card" it isn't there. I put the .zip file into the internal memory before it got soft bricked and it never showed up in clockworkmod. I don't know how to access the internal memory now, so I tried side loading the zip with the all in one program, and it starts and says it finished, but it just stays at the HTC logo screen. I tried waiting for about 12 minutes and it never booted up.
Have you tried mounting the USB storage from CWM while connected to your PC? You could transfer the zip onto the SD card that way.
But anyway, if the installed ROM wont boot up then it is most likley due to the fact that you're trying to run it on a kernel it does not support.

You could also sideload the ROM if that is an option in CWM (I use TWRP)

I tried to sideload the custom rom Orio on the HTC one but it gets a kernel error at the end.
As soon as clockworkmod pops up I get
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: can't open /cache/recovery/log
E:can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
I am also using clockworkmod v6.0.3.0
HTC released the kernel source code for the HTC one on their websitefor some carriers, but mine isn't out yet (sprint). Is that what I need to get it back to factory rom?
I found some RUU files for the HTC one (M7) at android files RUU website, it shows Asian and European files but no North American or US yet. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong but it would be nice to start from scratch, or at least be useable.
I'm going through the same thing.. I accidently managed wiped everything on the phone when rooting and trying for S-Off. which i managed to achieve it all, until i saw "TAMPERED" atop of unlocked. That's when i tried to get rid of it and somewhere in that process, I fukt **** up... Now it seems I'm hooped.. Phone just goes to bootloader or fastboot, or whatever's on the screen.. I even used the All in One Kit to try and push a recovery countless times.. Don't know the command to push recovery or n e thing else to device... When i try, "Device not found" is what i get.. Just trying not to take it back, but looks like i may have too... If there's any in sight on this, that'll be awesome.... Cheers

[Q] Mounting Issues, No OS!

Hey Guys,
I am a new user of the HTC ONE S which I got this march. I have basically no knowledge of adb, but I used the all in one toolkit to unlock my bootloader and install TWRP. My HBoot version is 2.15.0000 with S-ON.
I have the following issue:
By mistake, I wiped the system using TWRP. I now do not have an operating system on my phone. I tried the method suggested here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1630459. I was able to format my SD card to FAT 32, and place the ROM on the root of my Sd card. Then, I booted into TWRP and am able to view the rom, but when I tried to flash it, it gives me errors. I am unable to mount cache, dalvik, and the sd card. Aroma installer does not work, nor does the factory RUU found in the dev section. I also tried placing a nandroid backup on my phone (found in dev) for TWRP, but I cant see it in recovery, while my computer can.
I have tried almost all the solutions, can someone please help me.
Note : Please be kind and patient while explaining it to me, I am a noob who needs step by step instructions. Thank you in advance.
It also does not mount usb - otg.
If you can get to the bootloader you might want to just try an RUU. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2140967
It would take you back to complete stock and you can start over.
From your post, I'm guessing you already tried pushing a zip through adb.

Thank you for your reply.
Just to clarify, I CAN use my card perfectly on the computer and copy ROMs etc. The TWRP runs the ROM.zip, but because the system, cache etc is not mounted, installation fails. I tried the method linked in the first post, as well as the stock OTA with no success. So, I would like to know how to run the RUU.exe

[Q] (SOLVED) Hardcore brick - Kudos to the genius who can solve this one

Hey,
i am a owner of a Rogers HTC one X (evita)
I did brick it, to a point where i'm stuck and don't know what to do.
My phone was already unlocked, with clockwork in, superuser and such, but i was rolling on stock RUU.
I decided to try over cyanogen nightly, wich i did in the past, and i felt like i want to give it a try again.
So i download it to my phone, open clockwork, install from SD ... everything worked like a charm.
Then... when i booted on the ROM, it shut down after the htc logo.
So at this moment i said.. well no worry i'll go see what's wrong. So i went back in clockwork.
I cleared the cache, dalvik and such... and i (yes forgive me for this one!) restore default settings .... and probably lost the ROM in the phone.
So... i decide to see if it's still in the phone .. so i went in "install from SD" ... then, cannot find \SD card.... shoosh.
I try to go in mount/unmount ... cannot find SD card ....
I still have access to bootload, to flash up some stuff. But whatever i do, i cannot access my internal memory in the phone ... Or transfert a rom (if there is a magic trick somewhere please tell me!)
SO i'm stuck with a one x with a boot that crash ... And a clockwork wich i can do nothing with.
Any clues?
Never mind, I misread, didn't see the part where you said recovery can't see sd card.

Plug it into a pc and format sd card the factory reset in bootloader corrupta the sd card. After getting sd card straight get rid of cwm and flash twrp 2.3.3.1, nothing higher... Then wipe cache from fastboot. Copy Rom to sd card and install again after wiping system, and caches from recovery. If you are on hboot 1.14 or higher with s-on you have to flash boot.img from fastboot.

Well the thing his, i figure it out, was able to get access to my SD card with TWRP ... So i'm good now
But ...
Whatever ROM i put in, i dont have access to my touchscreen. I've red several guide on how to downgrade, and i totally understand how to do it.
So .. i need to get in debugging mode in a rom to start with (not superCID S-on) ... But how can i get to there if my touchscreen doesnt work ! ARGG !
So i'm trying to find a ROM somehow that uses the most recent touchscreen software .. So i can get in debugging mode and start it over.
All rom i've found i have no access to the touchscreen.
And getting back to stock is impossible (the RUU fail to install).
So what's next?

[Q] TWRP/NO OS - ROGERS - Searching forums and nothing!

I have been reading for the last couple weeks, thinking I have an answer and end up further into the hole.
Rogers HTC One X / EVITA / HBOOT 2.14. / 2.4 TWRP initially, now 2.6 / Unlocked boot loader / s-on
1. Started trying to flash AOKP 4.2.2. Flashed boot.img, then followed with TWRP recovery. All I could get was the language screen and then it stalled. Tried numerous iterations of this with various wipes and flash first and flash after.
2. Next tried Viper 3.2.7. All good till it gets to startup screen then it stops (I understand Viper has its boot.img installed to start not needing it flashed).
3. While trying various wipes to see if it would install completely I mistakenly did a factory reset! Now no OS! No Nandroid! No ROM.zip!
4. To get a ROM on SDCard tried ADB sideload thru TWRP. after running script it says unable to mount SDCARD! Suggests I reboot system! Now a little leery of rebooting for fear it will not.
5. Also tried to MOUNT HTV via TWRP on to laptop. Did not recognize said ti initialize. Formatted FAT 32 (via MAC). Now will not mount SD Card. I did drop Viper.zip into mount (cache and system OK) but can not find it using FILE MANAGER via TWRP
6. Now am in BOOTLOADER screen of Android. Thought I could flash a ROM but from what I read it does not look possible.
Can any one point me in the right direction to get this thing up and running. At this point, as much as I am learning all the time, it does me no good having my phone down for two weeks (sure glad I kept my Nexus One).
Any answer at this stage is a good answer and I appreciate all input!
Thanks
D
Sounds like you did a factory reset in bootloader which corrupts the sd card after unlocking the bootloader. You used to be able to just mount it on pc and format it but after the jb update I don't think that's possible due to the drive no longer being a mass storage device but an mtp device instead. There was a method to fix it developed by team nocturnal but it looks like the site is inaccessible right now. I'll see if there's a way to fix it and get back to you. Bear with me.
[/COLOR]By any chance have you tried wiping sd card in twrp 2.6?
Also, have done SuperCID yet?

SuperCID has not been done. It is S-ON presently.
I wiped SD Card as suggested. Saw it set up partitions. And now TWRP shows up when I mount . Can I just drop a ROM in and flash via TWRP? Any suggestions for a ROM. Could not get AOKP 4.2.2 to run or Viper 3.2.7.
Thanks for the quick assist at getting it to MOUNT.
Flash a stock sense rom and then fastboot flash boot boot.img extracted from the rom. Then use jet to downgrade hboot and SuperCID and then s-off. It'll save you lots of headaches.

It all sounds simple when you say it.
I will find a stock sense ROM to install then follow with boot.img.
Is it necessary to wipe anything more then Dalvik and Cache?
Thanks again.

In twrp 2.6 the factory reset wipes everything except sd card and system. You don't have to wipe system but I always do when I'm flashing a new rom.

[Q] Help! Phone not recognized in recovery by PC

Okays guys so my friend is having some issues, I can't solve it so I figured I would go ahead and ask you. When he plugs in his phone while in recovery to mount the sd card, nothing shows up on his computer. When trying to flash a custom rom or backup of a rom, it gives error status 7. I do not know what is wrong with it, and can not seem to find out how to fix it. I have spent the past hour or so browsing the forums after he did trying to find a resolve to the issue with no avail. If you can help me in any way it would be greatly appreciated.
What version of recovery are you using? Sounds like the SD card is corrupt from doing a factory reset in bootloader.

He is running TWRP 2.1.6, he does all of his wipes in recovery none in bootloader.
Edit: It even shows up in device manager, as a regular device. No exclamation point or anything. ADB even recognizes it in recovery mode.
