troubleshooting
1) you are not able to extract the zip/rar file
Ans:you have a corrupted file, redownload it or use some download manager (i prefer 'dap' google*)
2) am not able to download or any other kinds of errors
Ans: there are 3 versions of it, so if 1 version doesnt work, feel free to use other versions...Google It
You don't actually need root, just copy the stuff onto your SD card after you install the app and run it, it should tell you that it needs to download some game files, then you copy it over. When you run the app again, it should verify everything and bam, done.
Hi, does anyone managed to get The Amazing Spider-Man data?
I typed this:
Code:
http://dl.gameloft.com/partners/androidmarket/d.cdn.php?model=GalaxyNexus&device=maguro&product=1436&version=1.1.0
But no result. Maybe someone can help.
file no longer available on deposit file. "This file does not exist, the access to the following file is limited or it has been removed due to infringement of copyright. "
GLZip Mirror h++p://www.datafilehost.com/download-892380f1.html
whats the folder name for starfront collision?
i am still having the WIFI check after putting the "pack.info" to "data/data/[gameloft game folder]"
any solution?

Not true. I proudly own GL games, and I am a notorious SD Card wiper when I'm too lazy to manually clean it. The most annoying thing is to redownload 1-3 GB worth of data over and over again. This is simply a backup tool. No different than taking it off of your SD Card manually imo

Already tried redownload but still doesn't work. I have downloaded the zip twice in FDM.

There's just first release of OpenTTD for Android. I am not an author, just wanted to inform anyone interested.
OTTD is Open Source port of 1995 game: Transport Tycoon (Deluxe) with some more or less modifications and support for addons (*.grf files).
There was just first release to Market.
Android port based on libDSL. Source code available
Please mind that it is first release, therefore:
- it might be full of bugs or possible incompatibilities. Don't expect all working perfect. It is more like 'test' version to see if it can be done and how playable (or not) it will be
- game was not designed for small screens with high resolutions (Strongly encourage to install this Big GUI addon from configuration menu when you start game)
- it is not official openttd.org release therefore it is not supported, any issues send to the market release author (or post here, I will try to help you)
- the game will download 20MB of additional files to the card/internal memory, you can download it manually from here (the latest *data archive, possibly *lang if you want, *lowmem file for less memory usage but no in-game sounds/music) and this file, install/extract all files to /sdcard/app-data/org.openttd.sdl

Market Link and APK Link
I will definitely give this a go. I was really into Transport Tycoon in the 90s.
Thanks for the app! I love OpenTTD!
Is it possible to use original TTD tiles like with OpenTTD? I have the original game ;-)
Also, it looks kind of weird on Galaxy Tab. I think this is because of scaling. Galaxy Tab has 1024x600 resolution and I think your OpenTTD always runs in 800x480.
Won't install from market apk
I tried to extract files and can't find installation app..
how to install OpenTTD pls??? dosnt work when i exctract data on SD card

in menu go to Options, you can change your resolution setting there, not sure if you can get there something more than 860x480 in this build (that's max on my Nexus One), if not let me know I will pass it to the author but PC build can go any resolutions

if you had non-market build of OpenTTD then market one will fail, uninstall before trying market one.
and the best if you let it to download necessary files automatically, but if you cannot then get openttd-data-4.zip files from http://sourceforge.net/projects/libsdl-android/files_beta/OpenTTD/ (remember not to choose in start settings any additional downloads) and extract files to /sdcard/app-data/org.openttd.sdl, also remember to get libsdl-DownloadFinished-0.flag file before starting and put it in same directory
Finally, a REAL game on Android! So many days spent playing this time-killer =)
I hope development continues, this is a game you can play for a year, on-and-off, and it only gets more fun.
Looking forward to a full port!

I did extract files there wasn't any apk and if i am trying to install from market it won't work ;(
i downloaded openttd-data-4.zip but there is no apk and i tried download game from here http://www.katzforums.com/showthread.php?t=3023923&page=4 but wont install as well!?
OK, let's review installation step by step:
This installation steps is only for people who are not really able to download 20MB with their phones.
1) Install game from either here or the Market
2) Don't start the game yet (or it will try download automatically using your network)
3) Get this file and extract it to your SD card to /app-data/org.openttd.sdl/ (create folders when needed)
4) Get this file and save inside your SD card to /app-data/org.openttd.sdl/ (directories should be there if you follow from the beginning)
5) Now you can Start game, when you run it you will see a button to configure game settings with SDL background, choose to configure it but do not download anything extra (like MIDI support/Localization files, you can do it later). If you choose not to configure, then it will start after few seconds (can press SDL background in some cases)
6) Finished
If your phone is low on ram memory (less than 200MB) then use this file when downloading in step 3.
I downloaded apk and app is not installed so actually I can't install this game and I don't know why? It can be because of SD card ?

try and flash the .zip file. that might work
Should i flash it with the Flashtool in which folder should i copy the Zip file?
Any Screenshots from the Black Market???
if you have xrecovery you can flash from there also.. place the .zip file on the root of your sdcard .. before you do that.. did u change the name of the .apk file to Vending.apk instead of Vending_2_2_11.apk
no should i?
thats what i did before placing it in the system/apps folder
try this
1. The first step is to download Market Version 2.2.11 from here, unzip and save it on your desktop.
2. Once done, connect your phone to PC and mount SD card as flash drive.
3. Now copy the downloaded APK file to SD Card root.
4. Launch Market and download Astro File Manager.
5. Once the download is complete, launch Astro File Manager, tap on SD card and scroll down to Vending_2_2_11.apk.
6. Now tap on this apk file and press Open App Manager.
7. In this menu, tap on Upgrade and wait for the installation process to complete.
8. Once done, exit the file manage and open Market on your phone. If it opens and you can see the usual apps, then enjoy as it is success.
i have placed it in on the SD Card not in the System/app folder! But i have tried to place it in the system folder but its not possible! Cant copy?
Doesnt work with the Astro File Manager!
astro is only to upgrade. u need root explorer to make changes
No Problem i will take the old Market maybe they put the Blackmarket in one of the next Hotfixes for Free X10!
THANX Hihat!
Love the message as you flash it through xrecovery
Just installed it..but now i get a forced close message all the time.. what should i do?
*edit* uninstalled it and flashed the gapps_latest_freex10.zip back.. but the message doesn't dissapear and i can't open market.
*edit2* cleared dalvik & cache and flashed all the stuff again and it works now..

hi friends,
i have a big problem with my pc,
i have tried many zipping softwares but every time i want to install .zip files from the recovery it shows:"installation aborted"!
it's really bad for me because i should zip folders with my phone! & sometimes i can't...
can you help me pls?
You are not making things clear?!!
firstly,your PC can't zip files or your phone?
and what has zipping softwares gotta do with your phone's recovery???
you can't just zip any folder and apply it your recovery!
if you are having issues with recovery, follow this guide and install latest recovery.
if you have issue with zipping software in PC check you antivrus first..maybe it isn't allowing you to create .zip/.rar
Or just make a virtual machine on pc and zip your folders if you don't want to re-install the whole OS again.

A zip file has to be "flashable" for it to successfully install anything to your phone through recovery (with an update script, etc, etc).
Also, English only please.

i have tried , this time it worked with deflate compressation method via 7zip, storing without compressing via 7zip,zipping using windows, & store by winrar.
it is strange!
but it didn't work by bzip2,deflate64, lzma & ppmd methods.
i should try with something else too.
thx
& also if i just decompile an apk file & then compile it without any changes,then it won't work!:crying:
try 7-zip 7-zip.org or use xplore app for android https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.lonelycatgames.Xplore&hl=en to dicomplie or make flashable zip this app is working great for me.

4) Select the option to Bind Checked and the box should turn green
5) Launch Shadowgun and download the game data
6) When it is done, if it worked the game data should be on your microSD card
7) You can also verify that your app data has increased, but your Available space has not decreased
8) It is VERY important to backup your database. There is a bug in the bind app that won't keep the folder binds after a reboot. Once you back it up simply restore the database to restore your binds

Howdy, everyone
If you may have tried to backup an app with a higher size than 100 Megabytes, you may have noticed that you will get an .apk file that is lower than 100 Megabytes even if this app consumes 1 gigabyte of your device storage.
*The reason behind this is that Google Play doesn't allow developers to upload an .apk file that's larger than 100 Megabytes, so for the apps and games that is bigger in size, they have to put some additional files which takes an extension called .obb and it'd contain the rest of the app assets.
-Backing up these apps:
#Head to the following directory in your mobile: /sdcard/Android/obb
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
#You will find a folder named as following in general: com."developer name"."app name" with no spaces.
#Locate the file of the chosen app then open it you will find an .obb files/file.
#Copy all the files inside there to your computer or any safe place, you may copy the whole folder.
#Get any app that could backup your installed apps into an .apk file, for example ES File Explorer from Google Play.
#Backup the required app and you're done.
#When you are ready to restore the app, just create a folder inside the folder "obb" with the same name then put the files you copied from there before, or simply copy the whole folder again.
#Install the .apk file you have created through the app installer normally, then open the app while you have an Internet connection just to verify the setup and the app will automatically link itself to the folder you created.
Now your app is ready again
Best Regards
Bannora
Very useful Tip
This is indeed very useful tip. You can easily backup your large game apps using this technique.

*I think that you guys might have been trying to backup an app with a higher size than 50 Megabytes, you may have noticed that you will get an .apk file that is lower than 50 Megabytes even if this app consumes 1 gigabyte of your device storage!
*The reason of this concern is that the Google Play store doesn't allow developers to upload an .apk file >50 Megabytes, so for the apps that is higher they have to develop additional files with .obb extension to contain all of the remaining data in it then upload it to the store!
Let's get into the easy steps to backup the required app:
#Head to the following directory in your mobile: /sdcard/Android/obb
View attachment 2797782
#You will find a folder named as following in general: com."developer name"."app name" with no spaces.
View attachment 2797789
#Locate the file of the chosen app then open it you will find an .obb files/file.
#Copy all the files you can see to your computer or any safe place, you may copy the whole folder.
#Get any app that could backup your installed apps into an .apk file, for example ES File Explorer available on Google Play.
#Backup the required app and you're done. View attachment 2797780
#All you have to do now when you are ready to restore the app is to create a folder in obb folder with the same name format and put the files you copied from there before, or simply copy the whole folder again.
#Install the .apk file you have created ordinarily, and open the app while you have an Internet connection just to verify the setup.
Now your app is ready again to be used exactly like the old days!
Tell me if this was useful and if I have said something wrong.
