I dropped my phone a couple days ago and even though the screen didn't crack or anything I now have a clump of stuck pixels (dark green), and a group of dead pixels? (a annoying black spot) in the borrow left corner of the screen. Is threw any way to fix this? I'm using the pixel fixer app from market but but much has changed since lady night. Please help!!!

Digitizer is just a touch sensor... If he has dead pixels he needs to change the whole screen.
Perhaps a cable got loose in the phone. But I wouldn't bet on it.
Anybody know of any other fixes? I really don't want to open this phone
Sent from my Sensation 4G using XDA
Restore the phone to stock and use your warranty? That's what I did when I had a dead pixel.
As a last resort, there are a few more to try, although you've probably tried them all!:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jscreenfix.android2
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xllusion.app.pixelcurer
I'm skeptical myself, but it's worth a shot.
Let us know how you get on if you find any "Miracle Apps".
Cheers.
i have stuck pixel and use this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.htc.chris.blackspotdetect
but my stuck pixel is from when i bought it, not because i drop my phone.
Ive had some luck with using a damp cloth that has been heated in water and put in a plastic bag, I used it to rub some of the pixels back. Its improved alot, not perfect yet but I will keep everyone posted. Also I still have some dark green stuck pixels. Those apps help but not much. Any other suggestions?
Thanks everyone

I was wondering if anyone of you have experienced this issue. If I press down on the screen right under the search icon in the lower right corner, the glass ever so slightly, very softly presses down. Almost as if the glue is soft or there is nothing hard there. Also I get the screen discoloration that happens when you do that to an lcd screen.
I have read online that others have this issue and even the demo units at the att stores do it as well. Keep in mind that there is no light bleeding through and the glass is not raised just presses down.
What do you all think?

I noticed this on my aria. Its how I got it upgraded to the inspire. These screens are attached with a thin layer of double sided adhesive. Think of it as ultra thin 3m tape. I think it might actually keep the screen from breaking under light stress. I would keep an eye on it and if it gets worse maybe call HTC for repair.
Never had any issue with the digitizer because of it tho.

Thanks for the reply. Not sure how it makes me feel though. I don't think I'll return it just yet.

Mine does the same in the bottom. I've also noticed not all 4 corners are equally flush with the black ring that goes around the screen. O well, small thing really. Phone is so amazing.
Yeah I love this phone. I swapped it out and now everything is good. The only thing though is that out of the 3 they pulled out, 2 had dirt under the screen. That tells me we might need to figure something to fortify the screen better.
Sent from my Desire HD using XDA Premium App
That bugs the hell out of me! I wish i would have saw that before my return period expired
Your phone has a 1 year warranty tho. So if it gets worse you can at least have it repaired. I would really suggest getting it fixed because that creates a paper trail.

mine does this too. I guess I'm heading to the AT&T store.
Did you have any issue swapping it out ? I'm 2 days past my 30

I tried to swap mine out within my 30 day period, and the sales guy told me he couldn't give me a new inspire (because the demo model and his personal one had the same issue) but would let me get an atrix. I still have my inspire, funky screen and all!
Mine does the same thing. I wonder if all of them do it? did the one you swapped for do it too?
Also when I went in and talked to the radio shack guy he told me that if I put something heavy on it overnight it would reattach to the double stick tape if I didnt want to return it. Also can your return a phone with this issue rooted and s-off? or do you need to go through the process of returning to stock?
I would take it back stock. It seems to be an issue that doesn't affect the phone. Only thing that sucks is returning it to find out the replacement is worst or better yet, get one with dust under the screen. Also it seems to be at the corner of the screen where you normally wouldn't press on the screen.

I had no problem trading mine in at all. My new one is much better. Well, actually it has no problems at all. My screen was making an audible clicking when I pressed it down. I just don't touch that section of the screen at all cause I am afraid to hear it again.
My screen is okay. I guess this problem is there for most devices with LCD touch screens. To make it slim/light/cheap the screen rests on a really thin platform I feel.
On a off topic : -This happened with my iPod. I went to the "genius" bar and that guy brought 10 different iPods out and showed me by pressing the bottom right part of the screen that this is "common" .... I had no better argument then.

I dont know how this happen... Now every time i hold my phone by the bottom right hand corner or tap the search button my phone creeks like its not in place i goes a slight bit down... I dont know if its cause of the heat sometimes this phone puts out or if its the back housing... Could it be both can anyone help

Mine is same thing I saw a thread before suggested to put a post-it note between the phone and back case. It helps a little, but it's not a permanent solution.
Sent from my HTC Sensation Z710e using Tapatalk
I honestly think its a combinstion of the way it opens and the heat warping the case
Sent from my HTC Sensation 4G using XDA Premium App
It's because it's a case full stop - things always get loose after a while. Not a lot you can do about it tbh. Doesn't bother me

take the back cover and sqeeze it in a little on both sides top and bottom not to hard though
That's what happen when you open and close the back cover too much. The back cover is made for one purpose only. To insert your sim card, SD card and battery. Once its insert, it should stay insert and no need to access the back cover anymore, unless if really required such as your phone hang which need to take out the battery. Others than that, you should not open the back cover. If you continue too much open and close the cover, of cause eventually, wear and tear will happen!! >.<

You can always contact HTC and explain what is happening and request that they send you a new back cover. many people on here (including myself ) have done this..
I did the post it note thing and that worked for me. 1 tiny piece was all it took. Lower right corner.

Just call HTC and tell them the problem they will send u a replacement back cover for free but u need to return the defective one or else they will charge u for the cost of the back cover. It also happen to my phone and I did call them and they sent me a replacement back cover now I don't have that creaking noise or whatsoever. I've been using it for a month now. Try calling and take advantage of ur warranty instead of doing a quick fix that someday the problem will come back.

I have the same problem.
From what I've heard:
-It will eventually stop after a while.
-Some cases can prevent this from happening.
-A Larger battery can help this from happening.
Mine comes and goes but its not doing it as of right now so im good for now if it happens again ill either try the post it or the little bit of bending its not a big deal
My friend compared maps on his nexus s against my sensation, and I noticed something I hadn't seen before, the amount of red in our background. I know there is a rgb colour fix for Samsung phones, and I was wondering if somebody could work with ours to figure put and correct the problem. Anyone able to actually do this?
Sent from my Sensation using XDA App
You can't really compare 2 different devices that have different hardware. BUT when I got my wife's sensation and put it next to mine I did notice that hers had a orange/yellow tinge to it.
there has been a lot of discussion on that. i also hav a red/orange tint at several angles. from what i have read the sensation screens are built by 2 or 3 different compsnies and i believe the sharp screen is the only one (whhich the tmob stores use as displays) that stays white at any angle. no display fix that i know of but there is a siscussion in general that talks about this issue and tells u how to check which screen u have. several have exchanged theirs. i have the aus or something like that http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131592
check this out app called screen adjuster on post 1243 read around a little supposed to only change blue so read up lol hope this helps u nik http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1131592&page=125

Do you use it? what do you recommend the blue/green settings to be at?
Yes. I have USED before.
Basically it depends on your screen. Not all screens the same. I use to keep green3 & blue3 in stock ROM.
just try to adjust with some white background......

Hi,
No, it's not.
Use your phone all the way until it shuts down. Then remove the battery and the SIM and let it be so over a night; Afterwards, plug your phone in and let it recharge fully, but BEWARE YOU WILL NOT TOUCH THE SCREEN AT ALL IN WHOLE THIS PROCESS!.
Then come and inform us about the result.

AW: [Q] Sensation acting weirdly! help please!
I once had something similar cause of one app going crazy.
Did you try to boot in safe mode. And see how the system behaves?
Sent from my HTC Sensation using xda app-developers app
I've tried many many things, I booted into 4ext recovery, the screen was acting the same, just like someone is touching the screen randomly, last night I've formatted everything and installed a stock rom using an RUU.... (RUU-Pyramid-ICS-hTC-Europe-3.33.401.53-Radio-11.76A.3504.00U-11.24A.3504.31-M-release-280871-signed.exe) and the system still acting exactly the same way... I'm wondering if there's some humidity between the gorilla glass and the LCD screen... I've put the phone face down to my PC's cooler fan during the whole night... nothing changed.. now the screen is under the sun.. maybe that could solve this stupid issue...
If you think there is some humidity in the phone. best to dry is to use normal dry cooking rice.
Take a big plastik box, put the rice in. lay the phone on the rice and close the box. leave it at least 12 hours.
The rice will get all water out.
If you like you can warm the rice before you put the phone on by 15 sec. in the microwave, so just to get the rice a bit warm about 40°C
For safe Mode of the sensation look here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1593350
After more than 12 hours in the rice, the phone is still acting the same! I just want to take a hammer and smash it down...
