Hi to all I'm using the 4.36C ROM for Motorola XT532 and i have problem with the call ID.
Im from Buenos Aires, Argentina (area code 011) and i use the phone in english (not so much options).
Here when i receive a phone call the number is 11xxxxyyyy, but when i recieve a sms the same number is 011xxxxyyyy.
My old chinese dual sim phone can handle this diference and shows me the contact. But the XT532 only show me the contact if the number is exactly the same.
If i save the contact with 011..., i cant see the contact name when it call me, but i see correctly the SMS from it.
If i save the contact with 11..., i see the number in the SMS but not in the calls.
If i save the contact with +5411..., nothing works.
What part of the phone handle the contact matching? ContactsProvider?

Hello!
I have quite a strange problem. It appeared after I updated my Polaris to Windows 6.1 and the radio to the newest one. In general, I am really satisfied with the new sys, however there is one problem: telephone calls are not recognized basing on the contact list (which I imported using sprite backup).
It means that even though I have e.g. PersonX with telephone number 1234567 in my contacts, when I receive a call from him there appears the telephone number only (it is not changed into the "PersonX"). Have any of you ever had such a situation? I would be grateful for any suggestions how to solve it...
Best regards,
Theriel
Do You have only one contact with the same number? Not doubled - one in Phonebook and second with the same number on SIM?
Or if you have same contact under different names with the some number two or more times...
Joe Pesci with number +1-555-5555 and
Joe's house with number +1-555-555 and
Pesci, Joe with number +1-555-555
will confuse any mobile phone, and device will write only number. Check toroughly your contacts for duplicate numbers...
Nope, they are not doubled, and there are no contacts on the SIM. There is however another difference that appeared (I do not know if it has anything to do with the problem but...): previously I had all the contacts in the form:
"Johnson, Mike".
Now I have everything in the form "Johnson Mike" - there is no comma. But I am not sure if it tells you anything (maybe just a cosmetic change between roms?)
What is interesting - I can normally call using the contacts list (even from the "Phone" window) - they appear there properly.
I got the KT TECH TAKE LTE KM-E100 korean android phone
however, there are some some bugs:
P1. unable to send SMS over 130 chars
P2. incorrect font of unicode message when send to another devices
P3. doesn't show the name of caller in the contact book while phone ringing
For the P3, it seems E100 doesn't smart search in the contact book. To make a caller name show while the incoming caller, the phone number of the caller must be have number only, without any space, plus (+), hyphen (-) ...
when we add new / sync contact, we must manually make the phone number with the above rules.
does any one have experience about these problem? Please share
thank you very much
Hello I got a samsung galaxy x cover. I got a problem that the phone shows incoming caller as unknown, any idea as how to fix it.
All the contach is google contacts I tryed to remove the contacts and imports them aging on my computer in gmail.
Sorry for bad english.
If the number is shown as unknown, without a phone number, the phone number is being hidden from the other end. Unless every single number that is incoming is unknown, in which case I don't know.
setting to ask the telephone operator?
Let's say I have a fixed line phone, say 2xxxxxxx1. I have set this phone to forward all calls to my Moto G, say 9xxxxxxxx2. Now whenever I receive a call that was forwarded, I see two numbers in the caller Id. Say the original caller was 9xxxxxxxx3, then I see the caller id as 9xxxxxxxx32xxxxxxx1, i.e. the actual caller's number, appended by the number that forwarded the call to me.
I understand this can be a great feature to know the actual caller and the forwarder. But, it does not go well with the contacts and apps like True Caller. Also It becomes a pain to quickly save the received call to contacts.
Is there a way I could completely get rid of the forwarder's details from the caller id? Does it happen on all android phones? Is it specific to Moto G, or the OS it is running? Can it be carrier specific? Does anybody know an app that could override the default phone app and provides what I want?
PS: I am having a Moto G Dual Sim in India, running one SIM on Loop carrier, same issue when I tried a Tata carrier. The fixed land line that forwards to my Moto G is run by MTNL

Hi,
I have a problem with dialing phone numbers. My contacts are saved with country code +91 xxxxxxxxxx. When I dial it, screen shows 01091 xxxxxxxxxx. Thus my call is not connected. For this I need to remove the country code from all my contacts and then dial only the number. But editing all the contacts is getting difficult every day.
Also I receive calls with +91 numbers but when I call it back, its not connected again.
Please help me to get a permanent solution to it.
P.S: My phone is imported from Japan Sony Xperia sol26.
