My gf is an artist and she is interested in buying an Android tablet (10") with a stylus. Do you guys have any suggestions on what kind she should get?
I was looking at the Lenovo ones but I don't know if they are any good.
I'm not sure but I thought Samsung was working on a 10in Note which would have a stylus. As far as accuracy with the pen I'm unsure.

I've also been holding off from buying a tablet for a while. Was trying to grab a bargain touchpad but somehow i missed them all. Sold out and I'm not paying ridiculous over priced charges some people charging now on the bulk loads they bought.
Anyway, I'm thinking of the Galaxy Tab 7.7 from all that I've seen. Perfect size and specs are mind blowing. 7.7 inches of Super AMOLED! Can't go wrong there.

7.7 maybe too small... someone suggested transformer 2, good spec. But I prefer tab 3. Tab has better screen and camera than asus.

I haven't actually found this question anywhere, when you guys bought your tablets, did it come with the S pen or was it "sold separately?"
Came with the tab at purchase.

Inserts in lower right corner so you won't loose it... You get everything you need, be a bit stupid of Samsung to promote the S-pen then make you purchase it separately for a specific tablet...
In every review ever done about this tablet, they say that the s pen comes with the tablet. I assume from your question that you have not read any reviews about it?

People complaining about missing s-pen get confused with the Tab 10.1 because they look alike and doesn't come with an s-pen.

The Galaxy Tab 10.1 comes in two versions... the first version is the Galaxy Tab 10.1 and this has no S pen... the second version is the Galaxy Note 10.1 which basically has S pen with it - for obvious reason... not to mention, that the 2nd version has better specs and usability...

Not to hijack a thread, but what about Piere Cardin tablet, there are so cheap? http://www.pierrecardintabletpc.co.uk/pierre-cardin-tablet-pc-PC-7006.htm
I know they can't compete with samsung but still, maybe worth the price?
The one that I use now is quite cheap with good specs.

I highly recommend the Nexus 7.
Though I dislike ASUS for past purchases they refused to support and update, the 7 is a quality product and starts at a great price point.
You will not be sorry unless you have need of a larger screen.
IF you DID have the cash to splurge and wanted a full powered tablet... I would recommend that you wait until March... and snag an HP Elitepad 900... just had one demo'd for our office and it is a great product hitting a productivity niche that most tablets are not even close to capturing.
Not a huge HP fan but I was pleased with how well this particular product performed with Win 8 Pro and how well the dock and keyboard functioned.
Hope that hepls!

I'm currently at 4' for my phones, 7' for my tablet. I need something in between...I'm thinking the Note II is my only option.
I'm happy with the near 5" S3 and a 10" tablet. The 7" was just to similar to the phone without much advantage (and the 10" size was better at viewing the web and such).
Some people like a 3-4" phone and smaller tablet.
Go to some stores and see the phones on display?

That would be an excellent option if you're looking for something in between

Though I don't own one, I have a friend that owns a Galaxy Note II and he has let me mess around with it, you would think it is too big but rly it is not. It has a good feel to it and I had no problem fitting it into most pockets. Definitely size was not an issue for me. If I had the money I would upgrade to one myself.
Soon i am planning to change tablet at the moment i hsve ipad 3 and the thing that i miss most is notes spen...
My question is is there some other tablets that have the same or better horsepower than note 10.1 and mandatory is to have precise stylus something at least comparable to spen.
Or is best choice for that still note 10.1.
Tablet screen shoud be in 10" range not interesred i 8"

Note 10.1 still the only real contender...
I would give the series 7 Slate PC a real good look, it's a windows tablet and it costs a bit more but on the other hand you can run full MS office on it and that's a really good thing! The Microsoft Surface Pro have also a digitizer, then there's some Lenovo as well. No other with android as far as I know though.

For surface pro i read about digitizer that it is not same quality as s pen.
I will use it for taking notes while studying. So i need precision with lots of formulas and graphs...

ASUS announcement coming?
http://www.androidpolice.com/2013/0...-announcement-doesnt-really-tell-us-anything/
I don't know how soon you're looking to purchase, but this ASUS announcement looks interesting to me.
If it's an Android Transformer with both a digitizer pen and a keyboard dock, I'm definitely down.

I've read that as well, the battery life is not at all what it is on the note either. The slate however is a Samsung product and as far as I can tell it has the same technology as the note. I use my note for the same purpose as you will by the way, and even though LectureNotes is awesome I think MS OneNote is quite good as well. The main advantage with the Slate is that it is both a tablet and a laptop one can use for Matlab (I know there's a mobile version for android but it's more for show really) and other PC applications. It's larger size is a disadvantage when it comes to using it as a tablet though.

Also one of the things that pulls me toward note 10.1 is multiview. Lets say put pdf book on left side of the screen and notes app on the right and it is very convenient to work. Plus what i have seen on note that palm rejection option. Atm i have note 2 also (as visible from my signature) and it is awesome. But note 2 has just too small screen for the that task. It is ok for scribbling something fast but more extensive notes need larger screen. Note 8 still it is larger but personally i think that 10.1 is best size for that.

I use that feature alot as well, especially when doing math and other tasks where you want to have a PDF with the exercise up when writing. For other tasks the 10.1" is a bit to small for me at least. But I mean come on, you use the notes multitasking capabilites as an argument for it towards a windows based tablet? And since the series 7 has the same pen technology as the note it has the same palm rejection capabilites.
But it sounds like you've already made up your mind and If so, good for you! I love my Note, I would really have checked the series 7 out before buying one today but maybe that's just me.

Since you get a laptop and a tablet in one I maybe would have gone for the slate, but that's because I could use an upgrade on my laptop and my back would appreciate not having to drag the two devices around in school. On the other hand one of the best thing with the note is that it's so easy to carry around and hold in the hands while reading..
Anyway, congratulations on your choice
