Nexus S 4G to Sprint Help? - Nexus S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi, I bought a NS4G off my friend yesterday, and the first thing I did was return to stock 2.3.4, and update to 4.0.4.
I plan on activating this phone, but when I tried *2, I got "Welcome to Verizon" activation procedure. I checked out my PRL's and it's P:52690, which I found out was PagePlus, I did *#*#786#*#* and reset the RTN.
Now, I just need stock PRL/NV images, or whatever else I need to do to get this phone back on Sprint.
Never flashed a phone before, bear with me.
EDIT:
Figured it out, flashed back to Sprint.

[Q] 4G Xoom APN settings

I have a very peculiar situation. A few weeks ago I called Verizon's prepaid department and started the process of getting month to month 4G data on my Xoom. When it came to the activation step on the xooms end, it kept coming up as already activated but wouldn't let me access any other page besides the activation page. The VZW rep said there was nothing else she could do for me. About a week later I was swapping the 4G sim card from my HTC Rezound into the Xoom and vice versa. Just for kicks, I powered on my rezound and to my surprise I was getting access to data on it with the xooms sim. Seeing as how the sim works in my phone and not the tablet, I figure that there must be some way to change the APN settings on the Xoom to mimic my phones. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Are you stock? If so root and flash EOS and see if it works. I'm curious about this.
I have the same problem I'm on stock rom I went to the verizon store I went through 3 sim cards and new line. Still will not activate . I bought it of someone who had it rooted before he sold it to me and returned it to stock rom. I updated it from 3.1 all the way to 3.2 and still no help. I going to ship it to Motorola to see I'd they can fix the problem.

[Q] Strange issue with 4G, doesn't appear to be IMEI issue.

Hey guys.
I just got my i535 Galaxy S III a few days back, and decided to root it. Paranoia wasn't for me, so I tried CM10. Somewhere along the lines of that, my 4G stops workings. Luckily, I already backed up my IMEI.
I've been trying for a few hours to fix it. I already used the following methods of "fix":
Restoring backup from CWM
Going back to (rooted) stock,
Changing my Mobile Networks settings around,
Phone Info (Couldn't honestly find out what to edit in there, or if anything WAS editable),
restoing IMEI
From what I can see, I have my IMEI, MEID, and phone status reads: "Normal". Yet, when I look at my bars, I get 3 of 3G, instead of my usual (and what my other galaxy S III devices are running currently.)
Samsung's firmware mirror site is down at the moment, so I haven't tried that last resort before returning to Verizon, but do you guys have any thoughts?
Thanks
I have a similar issue - except my phone does not recognize the verizon network. I was rooted with CM9. i've since replaced the SIM and flashed to factory rom. I am seeing my IMEI number, so I don't think that's an issue (right?).
I took it to the verizon store and they want to trade it in, which i am fine with
My biggest concern is removing any trace of root.
I had the same issue when going into cm9, got a new sim yesterday and I got my 4G back.
I'm in the same boat. Just gonna get a new sim card and hope that fixes the issue

[Q] Stuck in Roaming, never rooted

Got a buddies stock GS3 from VZW, never rooted. About a week ago it showed "roaming" and is still stuck in roaming mode. He can call out and data works fine. He just took the OTA update that was released today or yesterday. Still stuck in roaming.
Aside from doing a factory reset, what suggestions can I get to check for?
Note: He went to a VZW store and was told it's a problem with Samsungs SW and several other ppl have come in a complained. He was told to give a couple of days until Samsung releases a sw update. Last time I checked all updates are through VZW.
Thanks for the help
Nothing?

[Q] Stuck on a 1x Data connection

Keep in mind this is my friend's phone and not mine, I just did all the modding for him.
Was on CyanogenMod Jelly Bean ROM for about a year, and then a month ago it started only being able to get a data connection at 1x speeds.
Went to fix it today by going completely back to stock, used this guide to go to 4.1.1, which is what I just finished up doing.
Rebooted and everything is working with the only difference between this phone and an untouched one is that it is rooted, and it is still having the same data connection problems. Was hoping there would be someone left in this forum with a similar experience that can provide some insight or advice....
My friend went to the Verizon store and thought it would be smart to tell them it had been rooted, and then they told him that was the reason it was messed up and there isn't anything they can do for him, which I don't believe considering the phone was completely factory stock when he went down there.
I'm about to flash CWM back on the device for the time being so I can restore from the backup I made beforehand but I'll redo anything if someone has a fix. Otherwise I have to tell him he's stuck until his upgrade at the end of June.
Also, while on this connection it can't do anything on the internet or get OTA updates.
Might be a bad SIM card. Go to a different Verizon store and ask for a new one. This time DON'T tell them it's rooted.

Placed my VZW sim in T-Mobile iPhone despite replacing sim still don't get 4G data

So I don't know what I was thinking, but last week while on the T-Mobile test run I tried to use the T-Mobile iPhone sim in my m8. I also tried using the VZW sim in the T-Mobile iPhone. Nothing worked. This isn't the problem.
After putting the VZW sim back in my m8, I no longer got 4G and my data connection kept dropping. This Sunday I spend 2 hours at the Verizon store trying to get them to resolve the issue. The idiot at the Verizon store tried to resolve the issue for over an hour using the original sim. After me begging him to stop wasting time and just replace the sim, the issue is still not resolved.
When he originally checked my phone in the database it was coming up as something like "Unknown device" which I'm assuming was caused by placing my sim in the T-Mobile iPhone. After replacing the sim, the IMEI and everything else seemed to be matching according to the guys at Verizon, but I still don't have 4G and data keeps dropping..
Any ideas?
I'm running a GPE rom so I'm wondering if I have to go back to stock to resolve this issue...
Probably need to flash stock recovery and do a factory reset from it. Might not need to fully flash back.
I had this same issue. I would love to fix it but I moved to a OnePlus One on T-Mo. I'd love to get this resolved though.
