Broken Link Revival - Miscellaneous Android Development

I want to make a thread where people can post new links to files that are no longer accessible. MANY files were uploaded to megaupload, mutiupload, and other sites that have been seized or taken down. Also, sites like filefactory, No offence football (love you) are never available to download anything unless you're up at 4:37 at night... If anyone has alternate links, maybe a personal dropbox, box.net, Google Drive, or whatever you may have that provides a RELIABLE link, or can atleast share for someone who does to download, this would be greatly appreciated. I personally can only offer my thanks and a thanks button, but who knows, maybe you'll get a donation or two for saving someone's device.
If anyone wants to start with the myTouch 4G TMOUS RUU, that would be greatly appreciated

Well, no takers yet, so I'll start with the TMobile Galaxy S II Modem (flashable to phones like the AT&T Galaxy Note)
Here's the link

Free Rom Hosting!

Hi guys,
is it just me who has problem downloading roms from rapidshare, megaupload etc? i bloody hate that!!!, almost as much as having "this is a free (crap) service, to get a better (probably also crap) service pay £$5 per week/month/day/minute.
Ive decided to help myself and everyone else in the same predicament. ive opened a website for rom cookers to place their roms for other people to download. Its completely FREE of charge, theres no messing around with countdowns or dodgy popups or advertising, you simply upload your file and post the link on here.
ive got unlimited storage and unlimited bandwidth on my account so usage will not be a problem. Ill post the details soon, the address will be welovesmartphone.co.uk and will be up in the next few days.
Let me know now if your interested so i can get a move on with it (or decide against it if no-ones interested)
like i say its free to use (once ive worked out how to make an uploader!..if anyone knows how let me know!)..i will put a "buy me a beer " link on, but theres no obligation (i do love a beer though!!)
Also, its not only for rom cookers, if you build programs etc you can also use the service...
PM me for more details if you wish
cheers dudes!
Az!

[Backflip] Root Bounty

For now, until I can post links here, to donate, visit the link below to get to the donation link.
Please help us get root, whether you own a Backflip or are a Dev/Hacker, or both. There are quite a few people out there that are trying to obtain Root for the Backflip and we appreciate everything you are doing, we're just looking for more help in achieving this. We all want Root for this device.
I have this posted up on several sites, so I've created one web page to keep everything update in one place for all the sites. If you are interested, feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Any and all help is appreciated. You can find the current status, total, and my contact information here: scorchgaming.com/bfrootdonate.htm (Can't post links yet.).
(I know I'm a new user, I just registered, but have been viewing the site for a while now. I have plenty of other online forum experience a long with tons of online business. For any one looking for vouches, I can provide them.)
Bump. Totals for today have been posted on the Bounty Page.
Please support this device!

There's gotta be some backflip lovers around these seas Lets see what happens with tihs
I don't see too many people sending you money without the root being done first... wouldn't be too smart. I do not believe you are trying to take peoples money and I appreciate what your doing to try and get the backflip rooted as I am waiting for it also, but sending someone money online in HOPES that someone will do something? No thanks. Maybe pledge the money and send it after it has been completed.
Maybe, but while I haven't gotten much interest over here, I have gotten over $200 in pledges from other sites. If you don't feel confortable, that's fine, make a pledge, if you do, great.
This has been done before though for the SE X10 specifically. With pretty good support for it. One thread says $890, the other says $1650.

I've gotten over $200 in pledges in a little over a week, so if the pace keeps up, which hopefully it will, we'll have a decent amount to draw interest to the phone.
Update: I have received almost $500 in donations and pledges in two weeks.
I'm sure there's plenty of others out there that haven't heard about this yet. Please help spread the word. I hope some developers are seeing this also. Without you guys, this doesn't get us any where.
Wow. Looks like the total is up to almost $550. Hopefully we'll get some dev attention for this.
Bump for some more interest!
Trying to help spread the word about the bounty. Started tweeting it out, but only have 1 follower, so... we need more people to get involved in letting devs know about this.
I've been using #backflipbounty in my tweets along with http://bit.ly/c06W3c
ie.
Help get the Motorola Backflip rooted, spread the word about the #backflipbounty. http://bit.ly/c06W3c Please retweet!
PS. I'm @Dbagjones on Twitter
Need a tester willing to put in a some time.
I can get root on the backflip, I'll need someone with a backflip who is willing to teamviewer me into a console so I can verify my method will work.
Contact me and we can set up a time later today if that works for you.
I'm going to take a few hours and familiarize myself with moto's goofy rom packaging scheme and the like before I dive into a phone. I'll pm you sometime this week.
I'd also be willing to help out (have Backflip, ADB, etc. but no clue hacking Android). PM me here, tweet me @Dbagjones or SMS 772.226.0185 <-- Google Voice is the bomb!
bump for greatness

I need someone who is willing to give me remote adb access to the hardware so I can try out the idea's I have on rooting the backflip. It shouldn't take more than an hour for me to know whether my ideas will work or not.
Tried my ideas, nothing worked. Sorry guys!

ROM makers: Want a different host for your files?

For the last 6 months I've been hosting files for developers in the Eris section. I made the site to people wouldn't have to use all that MultiUpload crap, got sick of the waiting 60 seconds to download a file, entering a verification code, etc etc.
Anyways, the site's worked well. You can direct link to your files, upload everything via a simple web interface.
I just thought I'd offer the site to developers in other forums now.
http://android.grdlock.net
Anyways, if you're interested in using it to host your files, just make a username on the site real quick, shoot me a PM, and I'll give it upload permissions.
And no, this isn't an advertisement or anything. People in the Eris section have just liked using the website over MultiUpload, so I thought I'd offer to let other people use my bandwidth as well.

Sent from my phone... I think useing Tapatalk?

Just thought I'd offer my hosting to Hero users

As I typed this thread title I saw there's been two other posts in the last month or so about this, but oh well.
I've been hosting many various ROM's and kitchens for other phones for 7 or 8 months now. I know there's quite a big Hero following as well, so I just thought I'd throw it out there if anyone would like to host their files on my site instead of MultiUpload junk.
Anyways, site's in the sig, my email addy to get upload access is on the site. The whole site is setup just for hosting rom's. Uploading is really simple, etc. Plenty of speed (I max out my 30mbps connection at home whenever I download something from it myself), plenty of space, etc.
Mods: This isn't an advertisement for a site that would compete with XDA, it's solely a file host. I've already had approval in other phone sections. Just an FYI.

I'm betting if the email address is to his host then its because the DNS changes havent went into effect fully..
Yeah that's probably correct. I just moved to a better host over the weekend, so it's possible some smaller ISP's or mail servers still don't have the updated DNS records I suppose. If you want upload permissions feel free to send me a PM instead for the time being.
Whoops, nope, I broke my mail server when I changed a few settings yesterday apparently, and didn't realize it! lol... fixed now.

Calling Out Contributors: Comment Links To Needed Firmware Files From Paid Websites

Hi everybody,
So not that long ago... I rolled the dice and I took the chance of paying for a subscription on those sketchy websites... and oddly enough... it actually gave me access to download those files. It wasn't a scam!
I know that this is a big problem here that we have to pay for the files we need in order to fix our watches, but I'm here to help change that (and hopefully take care of the problem all together.)
I currently have a subscription to firmware.gem-flash.com and gsm-firmware.com, the 2 websites that has most (if not all) the files we need, and makes us pay for it. So I'm calling to all of the contributors that'll make a post on the file and how to flash it etc. etc... if I upload the file to Google Drive and reply to your comment with the link.
If you'd rather not do that, that's fine too. That's where I ask for contributors to keep a lookout in the comments on this thread.
For the files we currently don't have access to without having to pay for it on one of the websites that I listed, please post the link to the page in the comments... and I'll get it on my Google Drive as fast as possible and reply to you with the link. This same post is in the Gear S3 part of XDA too.
Thanks for reading!
This thread has been deemed acceptable by XDA rules so good luck. And bump!
firmware update
I think this is a really good idea, I have been searching for a firmware upgrade for my watch for a long time. for some reason my watch won't update over the air. can anyone supply me with a link for the R732XXU2FRC1 firmware files. I can manually update then using odin wifi. thanks in advance.:good:
Code:
R732XXU2FRC1
Leaked only as OXX Version... not as OXA...
Code:
AP_R732XXU2FRC1_usr.tar.md5
BL_R732XXU2FRC1_usr.tar.md5
CSC_OXX_R732OX[COLOR="Red"][B]X[/B][/COLOR]2FRC1_usr.tar.md5
@jajay123
Maybe it makes more sense... if you update with FREE existing Firmware files... like:
EQC1
or
EQH1
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s2/general/gear-s2-firmwares-r720-r732-t3684789
Then try again FOTA...

Firmware for Samsung Gear S2 Classic SM-R732
Do you think you could send me the latest firmware for Samsung Gear S2 Classic (SM-R732)? I messed up my watch by downgrading the firmware and am now trying to go back to version R732XXU2FRC1 or later. I would be happy to pay you rather than create a new account on one of those web sites myself. Thanks.
