[Q] Help: Root + Sd recognition, SGS2 - General Questions and Answers

Hello everybody,
I have this annoying problem with my sgs2 (4.0.3)
I have rooted my terminal using odin and everything and I have not installed any rom.
The problem is this:
- apps previously installed in my external sd card won't be read/recognised;
- I cannot move apps to sd with any program;
- apps are still present in my ext sd (occupy memory, I can see them in settings/apps);
- n7player can play music present in the sd.
- exclamation point present during reboot..
Possible problems (some ideas I got from surfing the web): permissions, change of ext. sd location..
Possible solutions: none until now
Last thing: I read some other similar topics but I decided to start a new one because I really couldn't get much of them so please, I am stilla noob about these things, be patient if I don't get everything you suggest

Sorry but I won't be of a lot of help. I can only answer one question for sure the triangle when you switch on your mobile.
That triangle shows that you have rooted your phone and that you have installed a custom binary. There are two ways how you can remove the triangle and the binary count.
Method 1: Using triangle away This is the forum for triangle away:----> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1494114
Method 2: Using a usb jig (you can buy one from ebay). However the usb jig does not work with ics bootloader so you need to flash the bootloader of gingerbread with odin, use the usb jig and then flash back the ics bootloader with odin and the triangle will be gone. Some more information about the USB jig is found on this thread -----> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402286
I used the second method and it worked. When I rooted my SGS2 I did not have your same problems but I did not stay on the Samsung ROM. I flashed another rom.
What you can do is factory reset your phone, erase your sd card and start everything from the beginning. I know this sounds drastic but it is not that bad. Do a backup of your applications using titanium backup, mount your sd card on your computer and copy everything from it. Format the SD card with your mobile, create ext partition again and then copy back all your folders and data back. (I am talking mainly about the external sd card but you can do the same with the internal one just be sure to copy all the folders after the backup have been done).
If you need any help do not hesitate to ask and I will do my best to help you

Inspire locks up on boot up, can't do anything in clockwork - help

So I have been flashing custom rooms and kernels a lot over the past few weeks, with no issues. I have been running lordmod 4.5.2 kernel without issue. Today I flashed the -50 under volt script, taking a android backup beforehand.
So I go to boot it up after the flash, and it freezes up on me. I think no big deal, I will just do a nandroid restore. I boot into clockwork and attempt to do a restore - and it says no files found. I do a install from zip and it let's me browse the sd card. I attempt to flash a rom from there and it fails and says (bad).
I have pulled the battery and reseated the sd card multiple times. At this point I am trying to figure out why clockwork can read my sd card just fine, but not perform any actual functions like restore or flashing.
At this point my device is unusable, looking for help.
Thanks
Update: I was able to do a data wipe and reset from clockwork, and it booted up just fine. I have a titanium backup from last night so I will just restore it, and then try to figure out why clockwork coulnt read the sd card.
So looking at my sd card in a file browser on my phone, all my files andfolders are there, but they're all 0.00B. Wtf happened here? The only important thing on here was my titanium backups, which sucks that those are gone.
Is my card dead?

I have read that before you unplug your phone from your computer you must use the OS to Eject the SD card. The result of not doing this is supposed to be a corrupt card. Any chance this is what you did?
Edit: This is from the notes on the Hack Kit thread: IMPORTANT: BEFORE SWITCHING FROM DISK DRIVE TO CHARGE ONLY MODE, ALWAYS EJECT THE GOLDCARD WITH PC SOFTWARE TO FLUSH WRITE BUFFERS AND AVOID CORRUPTING THE SDCARD.

[Q] Please help urgently LG Optimus 3D and Atrix problem

Hi
I had an Atrix and used it for three months, then the internal memory (SD area) seemed to corrupt - I could not format or unmount it or access anything in there apart from copying files with Astro or ES File Manager. Even a full factory restore of the phone did not delete any of the data on the Internal SD (or Media Area). Ended up getting rid and getting an Optimus 3D.
Now, had the 3D for a month and can't believe I am having a similar problem. Android market apps kept disappearing on boot up (this is what started before), and randomly they would be there or not on each reboot. I moved some files using file manager from the internal to the external SD to create some room and my phone got stuck in a boot loop so I had to remove the battery and external SD for it to work again. Then, all of the apps on the internal sd instead of their icons had the android sd symbol and when clicked on say 'application not installed on phone'. When I look at the Sd and memory storage, the internal SD is nearly full still! I can't access it, can't factory reset it, or delete data. Surely there is some way of sorting this without yet another handset - it's gotta be a fixable glitch? In desperation rooted phone with Superoneclick which was really easy but doesn't help me because I can download from the market, etc, but can't actually install - I am stuck in the install 'candybar' for ages and it just won't work. I thought of manually deleting all of this stuff but I can't get a file manager onto the phone and the factory reset wiped out ES and Astro, I can't get them back on in the usual way.
Because I have root access now, I presume I may be able to use ADB through my PC to sort this problem - but of course would need exact commands etc, on how to do this through the command prompt? I am not an expert but think I just need to get rid of the carp on my internal SD which must have a corrupt file somewhere. Please help urgently, it is frustrating beyond belief and I almost feel like going back to Apple!!!!

This is a GUI for ADB a graphical front end. You can use it to push/pull some apk to your phone if ya need to. Hope this helps in some way.

extending RAM, recovery flashing a spreadtrum SC6820

I successfully rooted my phone but
1) I can t find a way to extend my RAM using the SD card second partition (Link2SD does not recognize the ext2 second partition on my SD CARD)
2) I don't know how to install the right recovery for my phone
3) I can''t find a custom ROM that won'' t make my phone freeze every time I install a new app and, if I finally find any, I don'' t know how to correctly flash it.
I am completely lost. Can anyone help me to find a solution and explain me what do I have to do?
A photo of my phone
Original ROM, CMW recovery and a file the use of which I don' t know that I have recently found.
Thank you for your lights!

Link2SD does not increase ram, there's another app for that. Link2D is for increasing ROM ( internal space). I cannot help you with the custom rom but here's the recovery image for your device http://www.mediafire.com/download/6xn977jjsuusjan/cwm-recovery-N9300.img.7z.

[Q] Phone broken or still hope?

Hello everydody, I am experiencing some difficulties with my Samsung, model GT-I9003-phone which "dropped off a lorry" somewhere next to my relatives somewhere in Asia. When I goth the device, it was in a non-working condition, except a boot-loop and the download-mode. Back then, I had the package of the phone where the exact version ( I don't know if this is what is called "Baseband" or at least is called baseband at my wife's GT-I5003) was specified. So, back then, I was able to find the exact ROM for the device. Unfortunately, the box with the version number now is - somewhere.
After flashing a stock-rom, I managed to enter recovery-mode where I read something about the internal memory being corrupt. As far as I can recall, I then mounted the external SD-Card and somehow managed to reboot the system back to almost normal operation. Even reboots appeared to work normal, besides the fact I had no memory access, neither to internal nor to external sd. In addition, GPS malfunctioned, too.
Unfortunately, even this state didn't last for long time. After several weeks of now-and-then-use, the system just broke down again into a boot-loop. After some time of flashing a variety of stock roms, I managed to flash clockworkmod recovery which works perfectly well. Unfortunately, I didn't manage to root the phone before it "collapsed" again. Besides the possibility, I'd guess this could be a resaon for CWM being unable to flash a custom rom? Otherwise, I'd just test my way through the varieties of versions .
Basically, I do have two questions: 1. is there a possibility to find out if internal memory has failed - and if yes: How?
2. Is it possible to install any version of CM on that phone in the condition it is in?
Thanks a lot in advance for any answers
Hello everybody, I finally found the box . It reads GT-I9003MKDTHL. Is my assumption right that there are no such things as basebands in the GT-I9003 any more and I should be able to flash pretty much any firmware? Furthermore, today I tried to format what is specified as "sd-card ext" in CWM fir GT-I9003 and it gives me an error-message. When I flash "sd-card", my external sd-card gets formatted. So, I'd presume the internal sd is just fried. I read about a workaround for GT-I 9000, where someone installed Androd on a partitioned external SD. Is there somebody who knows someboy having heard about somthing similar working with the GT-I9903?
One step forward...
Hello everybody, I finally managed to get some light into my issues as I once again figured out how to get a software installed and running . It's this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2329200
Thanks a lot to the guy who just posted it somewhere where id could do good...
By the way, I figured out that this software actually includes the Baseband.
As in this version, the original recovery system is running and giving me an error message when I start it without external SD-card, I am now quite sure that the internal memory has just failed as this error message was specified in another posting of someone who had a similar issue with a GT-I9000.
The biiiig "Outch" is, that I am unable to install any CWM Recovery System with that Baseband..This results in me not being able to upgrade the software to ICS, where - as far as I read some troubleshoot-information - will enable me to mount an additional partition on my SD-Card as Data-Partition which isn't possible yet (i.e.: I can't access my SD for storing data or whatever - it's just specified as "not there").
I tried to install the XXKPE-Baseband to be able to go for KPQ which would enable me to install CWM Recovery. I also installed Bagarias CWM-normalboot-image via Heimdall - but I was unable both to boot the OS and to find any trace of a zip-file on the SD-card.
Edit: I managed to install the right CWM - it's mentioned in the post where I've got the firmware from... now, I only have to figure out how to deal with the fact that "officially" there is no SD-card inserted - or, better, that this SD-card is now flagged as "internal SD" - and how that machine can find the zip-file on it
Thanks for every bit of help with that issue
Try Aroma File Manager with Terminal
For SDCard issue you could probably switch them in vold.fstab in /system/etc
Good Luck !!!
