[Q] Auto toggle input method when docking - Eee Pad Transformer Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So i was here wondering, is there a way to enable automatic toggling of input method when docking and undocking the tablet?
For example, i want to use Swiftkey when the tab is undocked, but i wat it to automaticaly change to standard Asus keyboard when i attach the dock to it.
Is there an app that does that?
Thanks a lot!

[GENIUS] Keyboard Manager changes keyboard based on orientation

Keyboard Manager allows you to customize what keyboard (input method) appear on input based on your phone orientation.
It displays the keyboards you have enabled on your android device, and let you select one per orientation (landscape/portrait).
As your phone switch orientation, the app automatically switch the keyboard.

[Q] Is it possible to create keyboard commands for bluetooth keyboards?

I got myself a bluetooth keyboard for my android table (note 10.1). I know there are already shortcuts built in but i would like to set my own shortcuts. Any apps or something that can do this cause i dont see an option in settings?

Swiftkey and the dock

I have searched high and low between the swiftkey settings and the dock settings, and cannot find a way to disable the suggestion bar when I am docked. I'm aware of the ability to disable autocorrect, but I would rather have the screen space. Do I have to just use the work around of selecting a different keyboard when I'm doing word processing?

There is an app on the market called keyboard manager. You set it to switch silently to the Asus keyboard whilst docked then back to swift key when not
awesome.
+1 for awesome!
Even works with 3 keyboards:
docked - Asus keyboard,
undocked landscape - SwiftKey,
undocked portrait: 7 Notes for handwriting with stylus

I'm already using Tasker which doesn't support changing input methods and I really didn't want to add yet another context-aware app. I was also already using Secure Settings to enable expanded desktop when docked from Tasker (using the "Keyboard Out" context). Turns out if you enable the "Helper" in Secure Settings you can set the input method (I chose the plain Android AOSP keyboard) in any of your contexts!

[Q] Daydream option

On my S3, I used to have options on the daydream function to choose when docked, when charging or both. I don't seem to have that option on S5 and am on 4.4.2. I want different configurations for charging and docked as I have had in the past.

[Q] Anyone having issues with Gesture Typing?

Liking the phone so far, except gesture typing with the android keyboard will not work. I have enabled this in the android keyboard settings, and even tried restarting the phone, with no success. Is this a known issue? Anyone having the same problem?

I have no issue with the app. What is you problem? Is it that when you go to type the regular keyboard is showing? If so hit the globe icon next to the space bar. That will either auto switch to Google Handwriting Input or give you a menu to with the option to choose Google Handwriting Input. If that isn't your problem then please tell us what specific issue you're having.

Sorry, I was not too specific. In the messaging app, or search widget, or any time when the android keyboard pops up, I am unable to use swipe to input text, that is, inputting a word by sliding through the letters. This is in spite of gesture typing being enabled in android keyboard settings. Settings/Language and Input/Android Keyboard/Gesture Typing
Thanks

Oh OK. Yeah it's a known issue. Install the Google Keyboard from the play store. That one works fine.
