Hi,
If you are stable on 6.6.3,then wait a little while.
6.7.0 is nearly ready.
When it comes out, make a nandroid backup of your current ROM.
Flash the new ROM,when it comes out,and see how it works for you.
If you don't like it, restore your 6.6.3 nandroid.

Well done OP and thanks a bunch. Simple answers to difficult questions :good:

I'll believe it does work on that hboot , follow the guide that you'll find within this thread
Look for the section entitled How To: S-Off your device with Revolutionary: S-OFF & Recovery Tool where you find comments
NOTE: For HBOOT 0.98.0002, please use this guide: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1194488
If you have done this, then please provide any output that you receive....capture screen if possible.
Edit: corrected mistake
Swyped from HTC Desire S using XDA Premium
It works fine on this bootloader (0.98.0002).
The only thing that needs to be done is to run fre3vo to gain temp root before running Revolutionary, because Revolutionary fails to temp-root, as specified in the linked guide.
My rom is 1.48.707.1 and Hboot 0.98.0.0.2. I have successfully s-offed my desire S. As Jack _R1 said, we need fre3vo to get temporary root.

to flash the ARHD you need the 3.32 fw which is the ics one and then if you want warranty back you just need to run a RUU from your pc...there are a lot of guides out there that teach how to unroot....

[Q] HTC Sensation 4G Updated to latest 4.0.3 root?

Can I still root my sensation that I've updated to the latest android version 4.0.3? If so can anyone link me the directions? Thanks in advance guys.

Downgrade Sensation back to gingerbread
In order to root your sensation, you need to downgrade your Sensation back down to 2.3.5
In order to do this you need the Gingerbread RUU
Google "Sensation TMOUS RUU"
Make sure your sensation is fully charged and connected to your computer, the double click the RUU.
DOING THIS WILL WIPE EVERYTHING OFF OF YOUR SENSATION (except SD)
MAKE SURE YOUR CONTACTS, TEXTS ETC ... ARE BACKED UP BEFORE PROCEEDING!
DO NOT DISSCONNECT YOUR SENSATION UNTIL THE OPERATION IS COMPLETE! OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR PHONE!
IF it fails try the RUU again, or download a newer version of the GINGERBREAD RUU

Yes, it's possible, the downgrade to GB is not need, but you needs to be prepared for "wire trick" during S-OFF procedure.
You can follow the instructions & tools from this thread

[Q] Noob wanting to root

Hello everyone! I just got my HTC Sensation 4G, and I really want to root it. The problem is, this phone is so much more complex than my Optimus V and there are many different methods to rooting this phone. So if anyone has the time, can you give me a quick run down on how to flash a ROM and which way is the easiest way to root? To me it seems like the Super Utility is the easiest, but VipeR's method is more in depth.
PS: I am currently on Sense 3.0 with Android 2.3.4, the kernal version is 2.6.35.13. I want to flash Bruce's CM10 or possibly the latest MIUI JB. TWRP 2.3 seems like a good recovery, but I see a lot of people using 4EXT, so which would work better?
Thanks in advance!
You should check the stickies in the dev section. It will be the third post from the top. That will be a good start for you
ViperS 1.3.5 With True S off
This thread will be helpful: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1716955
Whatever you do, just don't HTCDev. That will cause headaches later on.
Sent from my locked, tampered ville
All right guys, I'll make sure to read those guides and not use the HTC Dev method. I saw on some topics like Bruce's CM10 that I need the ICS firmware. This is achieved by downloading the ICS/Sense 3.6 update correct? And if it is, just grab it from under settings and go from there? Sorry for being such a noob at this!
As you are still on Gingerbread, I would suggest to S-OFF your device first as it is quite easy to do so. Later, on ICS and 1.27 HBOOT it will be more difficult. If you S-OFF your device now, you can update your phone thereafter to ICS. I think these would be the correct moves, I hope someone will confirm this! Have a good day!
Yeh if your still on gingerbread soff now instead of with ICS. Then you can update to ICS/JB by flashing 3.32/3.33 firmware once your soff.

So S-Off with Revolutionary then do the OTA update or use Kohr-Ah's 3.33 update? God I hate having to ask so many questions, but I just want to make sure I get through this all cleanly. No need for Super CID or perm root until I get updated to 3.33 correct?
Someone more clever should confirm this to you but I think if you s-off, then install ICS you can still update your firmware. That's the point of S-OFF-ing your device. You can do whatever you want with it. But wait until someone confirm this to you or it might be written somewhere.
Seems like doing the ICS update then using the Super Utility is the simplest way, with the wire trick being the hardest part. Can anyone confirm please?
S-OFF before you update to ICS! After S-OFF you can still install ICS on your device. It is much easier to S-OFF on Gingerbread. No wire trick etc... just simple instructions you need to follow!
No you want to soff first in gingerbread ad above posters suggested it will be best in the long run and a whole lot easier for you!once you update it will be more difficult to soff. Hope this helps so do the soff in gingerbread first.
sent from HTC sensation, soff, 3.33 firmware, viper Rom, sense 4.1, kernel version PYD-X stable 3.1, mugen battery 3800mah. Please press thanks if I helped in anyway.
Ok, so S-Off well in GB. Do I use Super Utility or VipeR's Guide?
But can someone tell me the correct way to get the 3.32/3.33 firmware after that? I am assuming I should follow this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1472298
And that I should use the 3.32 TMOUS firmware from here, as I am on T-Mobile US:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=21711154#post21711154
Alright, so I did all the reading up I could, and I think I got this down. Im going to use VipeR's guide to S-Off, root, and SuperCID, then I'm going to usejoaquinf's guide to flash Kohr-Ah's 3.33 Universal firmware update. After that going to put on Bruce's CM10 and away I'll go.
PS: Anyone here use the latest TWRP Recovery on this phone? It seems the focus is one 4EXT.
Use 4ext! It will make your life easier later... good luck and report back how you got on!

If you plan to soff do it on the 1.18 (GB) firmware. Way easier.
Other wise you can use your device son as well. To update just do three ota update. That's rather easy.
Happy to help.
so this week ill get my Sensation XE at last
now ,
I dont care much about S-OFF because I already own a HTC One X and im living well with flashing boot.img in bootloader
1-the thing I'm going to as is there any kind of a problem ill face if I didnt get S-OFF in early stages ?
2- will updating my device using HTC OTA get my firmware updates the one required for flashing ROMs?
I mean once I unlock my device with HTC DEV after I update my device using offical OTA will my device be ready for flashing new ROMs?

if you have 3.32 or 3.33 firmware version after OTA update(probably you will have 3.33 because it is the latest)
then you can use any ics or jb rom:good:
From my little understanding of the subject leave phone S-ON. Better if you can't write to some partitions from security point of view. It lessens chances of permanent or hard brick.
I'd suggest (based on my very limited knowledge of HTC devices )
1. Format whole phone alongwith SDCard.
2. Update it to latest firmware and updates.
3. Unlock the bootloader through HTCDev
4. Install 4EXT Recovery
5. Enable Smartflash
6. Flash ViperS 3.1.2
7. Thank me once again (optional)
Hope you have a great time with your new friend :good:
