I have the same phone and carrier as the OP and have the same issue. I have tried SuperOneClick using both GingerBreak and psneuter. SOC freezes when trying to run them. It pushes them to the phone and seems to have success when issuing chmod but then freezes when running.
I have also tried unlock root and it finds the phone and does its thing and then an error saying "failed to get root".
I have also tried manually rooting by using this guide.
pocketables dot com/2011/06/how-to-manually-root-almost-any-android-device.html
I get to the point of $ ./psneuter and get an error stating "Failed to set prot mask (Inappropriate ioctl for device)"
Has anyone rooted one of these phones and what steps did you take to do it? Or what should we try next to root our phones?
Thanks in advance.
I have been using forums for years and have to say this one is not laid out very well. You have one section for questions and something that was asked two days ago is already on page 9 of this section? How is anything really supposed to be addressed if it disappears so quickly? Maybe someone needs to think about adding some sub-sections.
I've been searching everywhere for a root for this phone, but the cricket version is all I ever find. It us quite disappointing.

And of course instead of actually helping, some snobby geek demeans you and threatens you with banishment. You think after having been picked on all the way through school and NEVER seeing a girls panties on an actual woman in real life they'd be less prone to be such snobs.
This phone has been rooted.

Root The Huawei Ascend II M865C 2.3.6
If your still having problem rooting this phone, there are instructions that worked for me the first time out at Phandroid.com. All you have to do is download the Poot.apk and ministro-ii.apk onto to your phone. Open Poot.apk, and it takes care the rest. A few minutes later, the phone will be unrooted.
If your having problem rooting try sitewww. unleashedprepaids. com they have tutorial for your phone.

Go here http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/orig-development/root-stump-root-lg-g3-sprint-verizon-t2850906
And read everything that the OP wrote in the first post. It's very easy. Bruteforce will happen if stump root doesn't know what device you have. Just follow instructions on that forum thread and on the screen when rooting. Good luck. Let us know if you're all set.
Thanks for all of your help i ended up google searching the stump root after my last post it only took about 5 minutes to do it. Thanks for all of your help now i just need to learn what to do with the root ?. Thanks again

First time poster, so if I do anything incorrectly I'm sorry. A few days ago I rooted my SCHi605 Verizon Note 2 on 4.1.1 using Odin. The root worked, but now I have no data. I've been searching the internet madly trying to find a solution. I've even reinstalled the rooted stock rom. If anyone can help me I'd be much indebted. I'm losing my mind! Please let me know if there is anymore information I can provide.
Hi,
Thank you for using XDA Assist.
Try posting your question here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-2-verizon/help
Do not forget to mention which tool/file you used to root your device.
Good luck.
[Q] FRP Bypass for ZTE Majesty Pro LTE
I've yet to find ANY working method for this model. Does anyone know of a working method past it? Assist doesn't work and thats the only initial step available.. I couldn't find any info on Accessibility or anything. Any help is much appreciated.

Have you tried using the router trick while it's checking for a software update? It didn't work for me, but maybe for you. Basically when you connect to your wifi for the first time, it'll take a little extra time on the Software Update screen, and disconnecting from the internet would let you hit next in theory.

Yeah i thought about that but figured it wouldn't work so didn't give it a try. I used that method to bypass FRP on Samsung devices years back. Was easy peazy then. Unfortunately I sold my ZTE Majesty Pro LTE. It still irritates me that I wasn't able to get past it and I am usually 97% of the time able to get past anything. Good looking out, ill remember to try that as another method in the future if I come across another one of these Majesty Pro LTE's or another non FRP able device.
Help!
Running stock Android 7.1.1
Need a frp solution. I'm able to get quick shortcut maker to run launcher3 but I can't seem to get much further. Google account manager is different than what I can find online... USB debugging is disabled so I try the *983* codes to open secret USB switch menu but still can't seem to get any software to recognize the phone... Any ideas???
Here - http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Apps/FRP/Android7.0
I'll post a reply shortly.
[EDIT]
I'm sure there's some small thing we haven't thought of.
I bypassed this and created a tutorial for it. If anyone is still having issues take a look. Hopefully it helps you. https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/general/frp-zte-majesty-pro-z798bl-frp-bypass-t3800392

Check post before yours. I figured it out and did a tutorial here. Full bypass.
On the Z899VL (majesty pro plus lte) I'm able to access every function of the phone except Developer Options, Google browser login, and force close on core Google FRP apps
Is there a separate thread for the plus or does anyone have any info on it?

Did my tutorial not work for the Plus?
First post here, I apologize if this is the wrong place or if it's been covered before - I personally have not been able to find the answer;
Hey everyone I know this is a fairly old phone (the galaxy s6) however it's running Android 7.0 or Nougat. I have been searching XDA, but other than that I've just been finding really sketchy blogs that only half cover how to root/unlock the device. I was wondering if anyone could direct me in the correct path?
My main concern is - since the Phone is MetroPCS... will I have to unlock it before I can root it?
***Side Note:*** I could spend $20 on a code but would prefer not to as I've never had to do that.
Can I root it before I unlock it?
I ask because I found something on gsmhosting called "SM-G920T1 7.0 unlock done by great Octopus"
Which showed that the device had been rooted prior to unlock.
It's been a while since I rooted a phone so if anyone can supply a step-by-step for this exact model, I would greatly appreciate it.
