Hi everyone,
Last night I observed a thing...
I have a couple of Optimus one, 1 is running on Official froyo 2.2.2 V10E and the second one is running on official GB 2.3.3 V20C.
The problem is that I am playing a Video on Froyo, it's playing too smooth but when i played the same video on My GB phone it seems a bit laggy..
I had tried some more video stuff, but the problem is same...
Why is it so.?
The phones are same, Videos are same...!!I am also running on Official versions too...
but then what the hell problem is ..
Can anyone help me in this regard..? that how can i improve the Playback on GB..?
Help me plz..
Thanks in advance.!!
The software or hardware drivers might be missing. Try a third party video player.

Ya i m using a third party player....
I had used mobo n mx too. But found the same issue.
Hardware decoding is still a bit laggy...
To make my doubt clear that may be there is some problem in my GB phone... i had also flashed back to froyo.... n i m happy to know that the videos are playing smooth...
So its clear that there is no issue in the hardware of the phone..
I wonder ... may be this smooth playback is due to some froyo LIBS or some tweaks or scripts that helps froyo to make the playback smooth...
Can anyone help me
... or could anyone tried to port a patch for this issue... or some other solution ..
I want a smooth hardware decoded playback on official GB ......Thanks in advance...
...plz help me guys...

Im thinking about getting a g2x, for everyone who has one, how is hd playback, smooth or laggy? For example when u playback an embedded hd video on any website, it lags like crazy on my galaxy, same for g2x?
give me a test website and I'll test it for you

If you would so kindly use dolphin, thx
Stock player works fine... However, I am oced to 1.4 ghz. Rockplayer would only play audio.

I thought it worked great. Very nice pic. The only thing is the HTC sensation will have a 16:9 so you wont have the top and bottom black lines (I think?)

I mean I need pograme play most of codecs without converting
This is a very common problem.
You can try overclocking or use alternatives like qqplayer but the best option would be to convert it yo a lower quality video.

use format factory to convert the video to 640x480 resolution to mp4 with h.263 codec and you should have decent quality and no issues in playback...

the best solution is converting.........
Just wanted to share that MX Player using the Codec for Tegra 2 is able to play videos on ICS Roms. It uses S/W decoding as opposed to H/W because well we don't have hardware acceleration. But the S/W decoding has just as good quality as the H/W decoding. So if you want to watch videos on your ICS Rom you can try Mx Player. I have tested it on PanaroidAndroid build 5 and it works nicely.

That's weird are you sure you are using the right codec and on the top right when you open the player is says either s/w or s/w fast and not h/w? Because for me H/W works but it is massively laggy because that needs hardware acceleration but S/W fast work fine.

try panaroidandroid it at least works on that ROM
It also works with Genesis Stable ICS release. I tried it just to see after previous failed attempts on many ROMs but was surprised and excited that it worked.
It worked fine for me on every hell fire release too. I have a feeling the only reason it doesn't work on the egb is because you guys are doing something wrong, or like you said the devs need to talk to hell and the guy that makes paranoid

do u seriously want to play HD videos, I.e 720p videos!!! no rom can play those on O1.
Presently I am using neko95's IcySnap 1.2....its really good with stock LG UI n all...but its based on hephappys GentICS 9.1.3....so not much difference there technically...
As for your question...I fugure u meant HQ videos only...so yes the ROM plays that...but only through MX video player and that too some videos skip audio sometimes...(but still better than nothing as they say)...
hey reverting to stock as stock can play up to 720p with Mx and yeah everyone thanks for ur time
#respect
Hi,
When I try to play HD Videos or streams it will mostly be shown in slowmotion and jerking (audio is normal),
sometimes it works normal.
Has anybody an idea on what the videoplayback depends or what configuration can be set to make this
contantly working.
I run CM10.1, AOKP Kernel, 1,2 Mhz, interactive gov, cfq shed
Regards
Michael
What player are u using? I had an issue where I was having trouble playing any videos...they would be basically like watching a series of all photos...I switched the setting from h/w to s/w decoding and that took care of it
