[REQ] Pokemon Roms - T-Mobile myTouch 4G Slide

First this isn't requesting a Pokedroid Rom.
I have an R4i SDHC 3DS, and as few know. It allows you to play back ups of any DS game, and Rids region locks.
Now I'm a hardcore Pokemon Fan, and being such a fan. I've played every Pokemon game ever, about 5 times. Then one day I stumbled across something called Pokemon Pitch Black, Pure White.
Which is a custom made Pokemon Rom, making the game about 10x harder Now I'm looking for things like that, but I don't now where to look! I'm sure one user has a website filled with Custom Roms. I did come across one a long time ago, but IDK whats the URL :3
http://www.arkeis.com/romhacks.html
So can anybody help me out? I'm bored, and wanna take a break from Skyrim. I want to get my Ask Ketchum on
Just to play off any Rule breaking. I do own ALL Pokemon games legally , and use my own legal backups for the Mods.

Has that custom rom been hacked in a way where you can actually catch all of the pokemon? After a while, I couldn't find any more friends to trade with. Never got a full pokedex, considering how much you have to trade to complete it
Loved the games. Ah, it almost made going to weddings, errands with my mom, the drives in the car, and all the other useless times in my life worth it

The Trinity And iPhone Story - My Struggle

Hey Forum Members I just wanted to share an interesting event that happened to me last weekend...
I own a Trinity and it really does serve me well, but with all the hype and talk about the iPhone I wanted to give this device a try. I have read many things about its user interface and just how well it does the things it can do. So while going to Buffalo to do some shopping I picked up an iPhone.
I came home with my iPhone all excited and called up my buddy to come over to unlock and jailbreak it for me. I live in Canada and is using the Rogers network so iPhone must be unlocked to work. My buddy is an Apple/iPhone junkie who knows everything about it, plus I did not want to brick the device so I'd rather not do it myself. He came over at 9:00pm and it was done at 1:00am the next morning. The TTC (Public Transit) stopped running already on a Sunday night so I must drive my friends home and they live FAR!
A little background about myself (makes me sound like a loser but is relevant to the story):
In Toronto, Canada we have something that is called graduated licensing, I got my G2 license 5 years ago, but did not drive or had the chance to practice because I didn't have a car. When I got my car 3 years after I got my G2 I never drove because I was rusty and I preferred to get driven around instead.
It came to 1 month before my G2 expired which would mean that I would need to start from the beginning if I wanted my full license (my G). So I drove like crazy for the last month and did my highway test and surprisingly passed. So now I have my full license but my driving and sense of direction is really sh!t!!!
Back to the story:
So now I must drive my friends home and I didn't want to tell them the story above because I sound like such a loser. My wife is pregnant and she was sleeping so I can't wake her up. So I just grind my teeth and said I will drive them straight home.
Now with working iPhone on one hand and my Trinity on the other, I activated the GPS on my Trinity and had to pretend I am a good driver for the next 1 hour ride. At this point I was scared going on the highway by myself and not having a clue where the hell I was going (My friends don't drive and they had no idea how to get home from my place either). So i relied on the Trinity's GPS and just went for it. I managed to drive my friends home safely and I used the Trinity to reroute to go home. By the way, it was raining and very windy Sunday night. On my way home I thought to myself, wow what an ordeal and how ironic. My friend came over to get my iPhone to work so I can probably give up my Trinity, but in the end it was my Trinity that saved me!!! When I got home and this was about 2:30am I thought why did I even go through all this??? I sold my iPhone the next day!
My conclusion is that the iPhone is an amazing device and it does what it can do in an AMAZING way. The user interface is unmatched and the look and feel of the device is top notch. The web browsing is like no other mobile device I have ever used. But when you look beyond the esthetics, it really couldn't do much for me. I had to learn the hard way!!!
This story is just my peronal opinion on the iPhone due to experience and I just want to say I am NOT bashing the iPhone, but after this I will NEVER give up my Trinity/WM device for it.
Thanks for reading!
This makes me a think i maybe doing a mistake selling my XDA Atom for Iphone , i think i should keep both...
when you look at what the Iphone can do and then look at what our HTC phones can do it doesnt make sence for anyone on this forum to give up there HTC phone for an iphone. Heck it doesnt even make sence to purchase one.
Everything is subjective, but I have happily transitioned to using an iPhone over my collection of HTC devices. The key for me is the tweaking ability now avail on the iPhone. With the program ibrikr, you can add/download/delete files, ringtones and install 3rd party software.
While it is not true GPS, I use an application called Navizon on the iPhone and it is amazing how well it works. I do still bring my Trinity on some trips, but really there is nothing I "need" the HTC for. Don't get me wrong, I still love my Touch and Trinity, but am a daily iPhone user for the near future.
This is post that I wrote when I had some time to kill.... It is my in depth comparison of the Touch / Trinity vs. iPhone.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=1621952#post1621952

I am perplexed over getting a new phone.

So, for the longest time, I wanted the TyTTN2. Then I wanted the HTC Touch Pro. And now, I don't know. The Touch Pro seems bulky to me, but I only have AT&T so my options are limited.
The Touch Pro also seems small compared to the iPhone. And the HTC Diamond HD made me realize that keypads on phones are outdated and boring. But that phone is a long ways off. And as AWESOME the weather features on the TouchFL0 is, I can't wait a year to see if the HD even comes to the US.
So what should I do? Should I get an iPhone or not? Will I like it? Is it a good phone? Easy to mod? Wide variety of apps? Should I stick with HTC? What am I looking at planwise? I have a family plan so I'd like to just add the iPhone onto it. Do I have the option to not buy the internet as well? I planned on just using Wifi since it's pretty common where I love. Is the Safari browser still crappy and limited? Could I get Opera on it?
There's a ton of questions I have, but I don't know if I will get enough answers. Thank you to everyone who reads this and tries to help! My history on XDA has been 100% positive. (Unlike every other board.) So this is a general "You guys rock" to the community here.
Ok lets see here.
I have a Tilt from AT&T I love it. There is a wide variety of Roms that you can use on it and many ways to tweak to your liking. If I can get my hands on a TouchPro I plan keeping it. It is a tad bit smaller than the Tilt I believe.
iPhone.....I like the functionality of iPhones but you can't modify them as much as you can the HTC devices supported by this community. Also iPhone apps are very limiited Imo
Yes you could just add it to your family plan though
No I believe they force you to add the internet to it.
No you have to use safari
did I miss anything? =)
I loved the Tilt when I saw it, so I will like the Touch Pro as well? I mean it's probably not as thick as I remember.
Lot's of apps? Can I load (a version of that) Super Monkey Ball iPhone game on it? Cause I love Monkey Ball lol. I know I can load lots of 90's RPGs and FPS's on them, which I'm thrilled for.
TouchFLO looks awesome.
So you think I should stick with the HTC? Because I really don't want to give money to Apple. I just saw 1. Monkey Ball 2. That "Use Camera To See Notes Left By People" and thought it was awesome. Also I like the idea of getting Google Maps GPS, and I don't know if the iPhone really does that.
I love HTC. I just wish we got their new phones and not their year old phones, but thats not HTC's fault.
If you get the tilt...no you won't be able to use Super Monkey ball like apps because the Tilt has no accelerometer but I believe the Touch Pro does.
Even though HTC kind of F'd Tilt users over by not giving us proper video drivers we have found ways around that and some brilliant users have made ones that work spectacularly.
To be totally honest I will probably be buying the next gen iPhone(yes i know it is pretty far away still) but that is because when I head off to college next year my friend and I who are planning on being room mates will be filling our dorm with apple stuff.
I'm not getting the Tilt. I'm going Touch Pro or iPhone

How to bring life back to a Transformer thats become dull?

One of Androids larger problems, and I know this is something Google say they have improved in ICS, it just isn't an entertaining OS to use day to day.. Don't get me wrong I love my Transformer but actually interacting with it has become a bit meh. Since installing Miui, CM or even a hacked port of Sense isn't on the cards does anyone have any suggestions on how to breath new life into the tablet?
Thanks.
Well when I.C.S arrives, you will be able to use custom Roms firstly in the form of CM9.
http://www.transformerforums.com/fo...t/10226-cyanogenmod-9-coming-transformer.html
This will pave the way for MIUI, and beyond.
The life of the Transformer is only just beginning.
Regards
Entertaining! What do you want it to do? A little dance for you? Its an OS not a TV show!

No need to be so harsh. I'm sure we all think this at certain moments
Get involved more in Android. Maybe take up java as a hobby and create your own apps, or make your own themes. You can also try setting up and designing different layouts (like Hubs). Every OS gets boring if you just use it on a basic level. Start customizing it and it will get a whole lot better. And like buzzboy said, once we get a ICS port (hopefully someone is working on this already) and CM9, we will have a lot more customization. Unless every hops on the Prime wagon, which I hope doesn't happen until I pick it up
I try to change my phone and tablet's layout almost every week just to always have a refreshed experience.
My apologies if the OP finds that harsh as well, didn't really mean it that way. But I've gotta admit, give or take the headaches it'd keep a TF from being dull for a long time lol.

Damn...good thing you didn't get an iPad...but then again...the iPad does have jiggling icons.

Uhm, well, I don't know what you expected. A Playstation/XBox? A desktop replacement that lasts a lot of hours?
An Android tablet is, at least to me, more of a time saver and productivity improver than a time filler. I use it to check news/mails/feeds/.. write some articles, create office elements and, in my spare time, I do play aswell some games. But thats the rare case.
So, if you don't have anything to do with yours, I'd recommend selling it and investing into something that fits you.
wow op is an idiot. i wonder if he sits there and yells at his tablet

For my two cents: I find that Android tablets should be utilized and marketed for what netbooks were marketed for, hence the net; but in reality a netbook is just a budget laptop in a form factor that used to cost *a lot* more than a normal laptop. The difference is you're trading a PC optimized OS for a Mobile Phone optimized one.

This is what happens when you buy a tablet as a toy. Plenty of people seem to get off on installing programs and customizing their computers and other tech gadgets --almost like how lots of people work endlessly on their cars but don't actually give a crap about driving them.
I prefer to drive...and to use my gadgets as tools.
dont think its the tablet thats dull, more the content on the tablet. look for some new games and apps to play with.
or go out!
Oh I didn't buy it as a toy its my companion device and a damn good one at that. All I meant was that in its current state the UI isn't as gratifying to use over time as say Sense UI Miui or dare I say the ill fated webOS products.
And ladies and gents is it really necessary to throw around insults because I criticised the UI on a product I own and quite like? I am not criticising you or your choice of purchase by saying the Transformer is less than perfect. Lets act like adults here shall we?
Putting that way..then i agree with the OP..
Different framing of the topic might have been in order..
As said in another thread..I am only missing multitasking in that windows or tabs..
An example if a perfect day with my Tranny..
6.45am wakeup check emails transfer the movies, shows and books for trip
12pm 1st plane..movie
Stopover..check emails..have a chat with family via Skype..
2.30pm 2nd plane.. movie..bit if a read of a Pdf..
5.30- hotpot dinner with staff.. a bit of a flick thru of customer case studies setup as frames.. wow factor
9pm.. back to hotel..plug in hdmi watch a bit Hawaii5o..
11pm finish..
A big day with me and my tranny travelling for work around China..

Try Onlive. Been keeping me busy lately. Love Warhammer. Nothing like running desktop games on my Transformer.

The first time yo messed around with android, what did you think?

I remember my first time seeing a real android phone. I saw plenty of commercials about the original mytouch. But the day my friend walked into class and showed it to my teacher, it just blew my mind. He showed off how it had multiple screens, and he even had a bleach background (and let me tell you, it was beautiful). I didn't really look in depth about android. But i did learn a few months or a year later that the G2 was coming out. My dad wanted a faster blackberry (for his job) so we went to a T-mobile store and he asked for a fast phone. The person at the counter showed him the G2 and i immediately recognized it. In fact the whole store was filled with android phones that i played around with very much. It was not until my mother got my a Pandigital novel that i learned about rooting and rom (still didn't understand it as in depth as i do now).
TL;DR: When i first saw android, i didn't know what it was but i did think it was beautiful.
Now i wanna hear about your first experiences with android. Or what you thought when you first laid eyes on one.
Before i get an android i had a symbian phone so when i bought my htc wildfire i couldn't stop install rom and all stupid stuff on it, FREEDOM !!

switched from a crappy samsung phone without even a proper name (just an alphanumeric one) to the HTC DHD/Inspire 4g it was my forst android phone and it was and still is amazing because the one thing about android is, is that it never ceases to amaze me. Be it the official stuff or the root community, all of it is amazing.

lol my sis has the cliq right now. And boy that was the slowest thing i've ever touched. It was so slow that i rooted it and set the cpu higher to make it faster. It only made it 35% faster lol
It was stock on a D2, and I remember it lagging so badly. I tried to mod and customize but the deeper I got into it the slower it got. Then I finally made the choice to stick with android and buy a top tier phone, which is my GNex I have now and couldn't be happier. Lol
Android has come a long way, and the older versions really give it a bad name on those slow / sluggished spec'd phones.
My first Android was the Sanyo Zio by Kyocera. Which happened to be Kyoceras first Android as well. I think it was fate because it took me about a month before I decided to get it rooted. At the time there was virtually no development for it, source code was still nearly a year from release. So it gave me a chance to really get in to Androids and all the customization and some amateurish development. So really it assured my love of the OS.
Lower end phones arent always the worst. Im stuck on one now since some ass stole my Sensation. Its not too terrible, but if I was a total noob it would be. Thanks to my Zio Im not. Link2sd is a godsend for low capacity devices.
I can honestly say I will never own another kind of phone. If its not Android Im not interested.
I was intrigued as soon as I saw the "iDon't" commercials. I did a lot of reading and followed a few now-defunct forums. When the D2 came out I bought it sight unseen. Once I looked into rooting and learned how amazing the experience could become I was hooked.

One of my family members has a phone on Gingerbread. Running that was cool, especially since she came from a BlackBerry.
Then I got a Galaxy Nexus and was floored at how much better the experience was. Matias Duarte, that UI and UX pioneer, really and completely changed Android to the point that stock is awesome. Android went through puberty and has finally matured.
The very first time I messed around with android, it was in the back seat of my 1966 Chevy Nova at "the point".
The second time, I got busted by her old man with my finger inside her USB port...

I found jailbreaking easier that being said I also put my iPhone into a blender since i hated it. Rooting/flash I find more combersome for some reason though it's really not that difficult.

Haha I know right? I was so excited to get rid of it. Pulling down the statusbar on cm7 was laggy 0.o
I tweaked the hell out of it to no avail. The reason why I never had a bad impression of Android was because my friends were all showing off their superphones and when I finally upgraded, I knew how much better the experience would be

Just depends on the phone. Motos on certain versions of Froyo and GB have a one-click root that's even easier than jail breaking. Even the work around now isn't too bad. I will say when I see what's required for some I just think, "Glad I don't have to do all that."
My first experience was with the T-Mobile G1/HTC Dream, which I got release week. It was and still is in my top 10 list of best phones. The way the keyboard slid out and clacked was amazing! I love that phone!
My first android phone was a Samsung Galaxy S2, i picked that over the Skyrocket and i never really regretted it. The first thing i did with the phone when i came home from the store was root it. After that i found out about kernels, roms, and hundreds of mods. And ever since then I've been flashing roms way too much. Some times i change the rom 3-4 times in a day, and other times i try my best to stick with one rom, but i keep wanting more from the device so i go looking for more roms and mods.
First android was an HTC Desire Z. Still have it and love it. Now rocking an SIII and soon a GNex again.

Hardcore Gaming

So I am a huge android gamer. I do not have a pc except at work and i do not have any console systems at home. I am really loving the development that is going on with some stuff Ive seen. Unity 3d and cloud gaming is gonna be huge i think.
My goal with this thread is to try to gather some of us android gamers together. I play all day at work and at home. I need something more than Modern Combat 4 haha. Its a great game but im looking for some huge sprawler. I have seen wildblood from gameloft, looks amazing. I am trying to figure out what people are playing on this device. maybe develop a little support thread for us gamers to unite and share what we have found with each other. I havent really been able to find anything about it anywhere for our device. seems all the attention is always on the one x. our phones are powerful....lets unleash it!
I agree. I'm down to play whatever multi player/coop games we have. Let me know!!

I would be too. I guess MC4 multi is only on wifi, but im sure there are some good things out there. I really am sort of enjoying Aralon. Played it?
Am i to assume that really no one plays any games on our device?!
Its too small to do any serious gaming on
What do you mean too small? I play stuff on it all the time. Classic games for sure. I even tried OnLive and demoed the free demo for Darksiders 2 and it worked awesome. Im trying to figure out pairing my ps3 controller for better use, but you could even do mhl out and play dead trigger and whatnot with a ps3 controller. Havent heard of the Ouya? well our phone is powerful as well, i see no need to buy a console when i have one in my hand.
Figuring out compatibility with games that I know the unit could run, i.e. Horn and Six Guns. Let me know if anyone is interested in this as well, I think we should work together as I see no real gaming support community out there. If anyone knows one please let me know.
Too small: When using touchkeys, your fingers covers half the screen and you cant see where youre going
Controller, sure, but unless you have one that can dock the phone, you face another problem - the screen is too far away and therefore too small.
Now a tablet on the other hand have plenty of space for your fingers and can easily be seen when using a controller
So, therefore: The One S is too small for serious gaming
Edit: Whats wrong with six guns? Seems to work just fine?
gameklip acttaches phone to controller. i can play fine with touch controls, maybe youre not a good gamer.
woa that was uncalled for. In that case - maybe youre an 8 year old girl with paperthin fingers?
maybe, im just saying that why should i have multiple devices? i already have a powerful device.
No one said that. You asked if you were to assume nobody played games on the one S, and I answered "its too small" as the reason as to why I dont play 'hardcore' on it.
And Im sure Im not alone.
well thats a great answer i guess. Now as far as people that would actually like to do so? any input there?
