up.. anyone? Especially is 7.7 performance noticeable faster with 0.4 ghz clock difference and 7.7" screen?
If you could use the smaller scredn and do not want 10 inch so i think 7.7 is better as i heard it is amoled screen and good cpu but as i know it is honeycomb but you may be able to install ics or jellybean rom check development section of this device
so
*tab2 10:
1- bigger screen but not amoled
2-ics out of box
3-less cpu
4- more support as new device
*tab 7.7plus
1- smaller screen but amoled
2-honeycomb but may install custom rom
3- better cpu
4- less support as older

I've recently rooted my galaxy nexus to load jelly bean 4.1.1. I was wondering if anyone has boosted the Cpu clock to speed up there phone. What are your thoughts on this?
Any help would be great
Thanks...

...are you serious? I'd give you an answer, but it's way too damn easy to find out for yourself that I'm gonna let you do that. I believe in you!

Sure it is possible, but why? With JB and a nice kernel mine is so damn fast I just want to slow it down a bit and enjoy the battery.
I know how to do it.. It's really easy! I'm over clocking now...
My question is for those who have bump up there speed, have you notice a big difference in performance, battery drain, or your phone running a little warmer when using it quite a bit..
Those of us who have a galaxy Nexus know that battery life sucks! And performance can be questionable at times. I was just looking for opinions on the pros and cons of over clocking from people who have been running it longer than me...

It strikes me as a bad idea. My Samsung Galaxy Nexus cdma phone gets plenty hot and sucks plenty of juice without overclocking, even though I keep LTE turned off. It's also a very snappy (and stable) performer with stock 4.04.
Every chip is different, so you're going to find that your experiences might not necessarily be like ours. Some folks have OCed to 1.8ghz for the hell of it, whereas I could pull off no where near that with mine. That being said, I've stopped overclocking altogether as, especially with jellybean, my phone is already pretty damn fast.
I appreciate all your input. I'll probably set it back to interactive and back to a cap of 1200.. I've just noticed now that I have my JB all set up. I've found it to be a little chunky at times. Going into Google now, and some times using the voice input..
I'm surrounded by ios lovers and I'm a huge Android guy and I really want to show them up with the performance of JB, so I don't have to hear them ***** about how chunky android can be..
I'm sure it all has to do with the JB build I I've loaded..
Again thank you for your time..

No way why would I do that.

Well, quadrant isn't very reliable and it uses so undemanding test it hits the fps limiter (60fps), so there's not really any point in looking those scores.
Although there doesn't seem to be any problem in that pic...

Is that so? Thanks for your reply mate.. well i was just curious about this quadrant thing and why not give it a try..

Most speed test have no relationship to real world applications. Most or all will run a cpu speed check and if you have a quad core they rate it 4x or 2x for duo, but few if any applications are mult-threaded to take advantage of multiple cores so in the real world a single core 1.7 ghz beats a quad core 1.2 Ghz every time.
Its actually much cheaper for a vendor to make a quad 1.2 ghz than a single 1.7 ghz.
Nice information sir.. wel i was just curious albout the speed of my plus.. im using stock rom ics.. and im good with it.. i really love the touchwiz though some will object.. my problem with some launcher is that it does not allow me to use those widget that i use when im in stock launcher.. i would love to try those jelly bean rom but the fear of bricking my tab is always there.. im afraid of bricking it beacuse i use this tab as my phone and our internet connection at home..

All the CM10+ Roms have too many holes. If you want to try out some advanced launcher features you can install Holo, Apex or Nova and toggle between launchers when you want.

According to me Harsh's ROM and CoCore E 6.8 is the perfect combination which can take place of the default jellybean with the default Touchwiz UI. I have tried this Kernel with the default Samsung firmware which made it lot faster but the games like subway surfers were still lagging so instead of that default one I have installed the Harsh's ROM.
Performance is not equal to free ram.
Again, go and read something about ram management in android. The best way to test performance is to run some games, your usual applications, test multitasking. If it's lagging, then the performance is bad. If it's not lagging, then performance is good. Another way - benchmarks, but they give no real info about user experience (go and see Nexus 4 vs Galaxy S4. Galaxy S4 has top-end specs, but it's lagging).

If you compare the ROM sizes of the Google Edition and real AOSP, there's still bloatware, somewhere.
"What's my problem? You."
hi guys, this community is great! i bought an s4 one year ago and it's a great phone! however i 've my i9003 too and it works great after all these years! i'm using the i9003 for running and i wanted to know what's the better rom for music and runtastic... i don't need many home pages, just one, but i want the fast and fluid rom for this phone... thanks to all , you are great
If you want flawless functionality use the qwerty ROM based on 4.1.2 . if you want cutting edge and still great functionality, use the latest cm11 build by Dhiru. Note, however that qwerty is hugely optimised by overclocking both CPU & GPU, so it's very fluid.

Right now I'm testing this ROM on my S7562 and it works well so far if I exclude the already known issues and slow performance, but I was wondering... how far can we push the hardware of this phone to make it function faster? For example, could we get a fully working and fast KitKat ROM some day?
The ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2670604
With stock you can't think of capabilities, on custom, you can but it will surely contain some bugs
